still missing Helgash I guess... hope he returns soon... life can be a b*%~* sometimes... but I guess it has to come first...

Just waiting for you guys to decide what you want to do. Head out of the shack and explore, take more time inside, charm the barbarian to get more information, call on the ice queen and confront her now, open a portal to the abyss and pledge your allegiance to some demon with fire domain and protect yourselves that way from the coming ice age etc.
Venja
I think we were waiting for Helgash's return to try diplomacy on the barbarian, but I guess we're gonna need to figure out something else to do...
Venja
np... rest well.

Will be at Gamex this weekend (Fri-Mon)... will check in as and when I can, but no guarantees - depends on hotel wifi and charging possibilities... Bot me as necessary to keep the pace of the game up, don't want to slow things down.

At risk of telling the same folks the same thing repeatedly, I will share this here, as well.
I will be traveling next week, but expect to have access to post in the evenings. A little jaunt to try new cycling trails that have been built on retired railbeds. Primary concern right now is the storms that seem to be a nightly occurrence in that part of the country.
Duardlara Frostborn
We watched one roll in one time, full of lightning flashes. We were headed due west and it was going a steady northeast. I could see on my phone that it should pass to our south if we could get far enough west, but my cycling group could not meet the necessary pace.
We had already sat out another storm in a country bar for almost two hours or we would not have been pushing our luck, but we had some 20 miles back to our cabin and it was late and we were not carrying lights. Anyway, we stop beside the road, debating parking in what looks like an abandoned barn to wait out the storm, when a good ol' boy from the bar stops with his pickup to give us a lift.
Turns out, two miles down the road, we got hit by a pounding rain so hard he had to stop because his windshield wipers could not keep up - we could not see a thing. Long story short, he went 15 miles out of his way to take two strangers home and saved them an absolute drenching. He pointed out his house as we drove past it. And he wanted nothing but a thanks and a promise to come back in return.
One of the best and rainiest trips ever. Check out the Wabash Trace trail in Iowa if you are so inclined.

I'll say it again, that sounds like a boatload of fun. And it is amazing to find people like that just out of the blue.
I am going to check out the trail you pointed out (am looking at it right now), and even though we are thousands of miles apart, I am actually getting back into cycling again after many years of inactivity. It is a big thing where I live now, so I'm giving it a serious go.

Good for you! That's a great little trail, very well kept, but we did have to pull some trees off or portage across because of the extreme weather that week. There's a tiny town with a great church... I will have to check the name. If you go, the bar there run by a young couple, just good people.

OK, finally remembered to get back to the map to get you this. First, if you are looking at this trail, I highly recommend the Pierce Crossing Guesthouse just outside the south side of Malvern, Iowa. The town is about halfway along the trail and the Guesthouse is literally the former farmhouse on the property, big enough to comfortably sleep a lot of people with a stocked kitchen. Bring your bikes, your clothes, your food, and move in. Great, peaceful place and the owners were very kind.
Second, if you ride the trail, the Emerald Isle Bar & Grille in Imogene is a fantastic support spot. We were chased off the trail by a thunderstorm and hung out with the patrons and the owner for well over an hour watching the storms roll over us. Then we tried to take blacktop back to Pierce Crossing (the trail was a little soft before the storms, it was probably soup afterward) and were caught in another storm, one of the patrons picked us up in the story I related earlier.
The young couple that run the Emerald Isle are major supporters of the trail and sponsor various events on it during the year. Like I tried to say earlier, just good people.

Team,
I wanted to let you guys know I am going on vacations from next Sunday onward, for about two weeks.
I'm travelling with the family tomorrow, before the vacations start proper, so I should be able to keep up the posting until Sunday, but after that I cannot guarantee it since I will probably be immersed in tepid sea or pool water, hopefully with some sort of alcoholic beverage closeby :D
As always, bot me as needed - go GANG!
Duardlara Frostborn
I was really hoping you were enjoying your holiday. Pretty much all of my games are on official or unofficial hiatus, so I was unconcerned. Feels weird to be checking and not seeing any updates.
I watch a lot of threads....
Duardlara Frostborn
He's already returned to our other game, so he's around. I don't know if he's lost his dot for this game with his absence.
Venja
Just so you know, I will be at Strategicon all weekend (Friday-Monday evening). Probably won't be home til late Monday. I will try to keep up with posts via phone and computer at the hotel, but I will be mega-busy at the con, so no guarantees. Please bot my character as necessary to keep the game flowing... Thanks, and sorry in advance for my absence.

I have embarked on my annual autumn excursion to Someplace Else(TM) and so my availability and access may not be what they generally are. It looks like I should be able to post in the evenings, but can make no guarantees, so please feel free to bot D'lara as necessary.
I should be able to resume normal activity after the 17th.

Just giving some info on what my build plan is. I'm going Combat Reflexes-Snap shot-Improved Snap Shot What happens is that I will threaten a 15 foot area with my bow and with combat reflexes, be able to launch 3 ranged AoOs for every 5' they move. So I am a sentry tower that moves. :)

Dex +1 (Wee! 1 more ranged bab)
Bab +1
Fort +1

Helgash
Winter wolf is a CR 5. Add the level of fighter that she already has and it makes her a 6th level cohort already. Next time you level she will be able to add another level of fighter.
