Male Half-Elf Fighter(Tactician)

Lets not do that but we can have Felina be the new Santa while Raxus and I are her helpers. I have no idea how to fit Thalia into this holiday though any ideas would be helpful.

Oh, she'll be the one keeping the naughty list. Other than that?

Entertainment?

Male Taldan Magical Engineer/1 hp 7/7; AC 14/10/14

You two are serious lunatics.

Veeery funny though.

That's vile slander!

Thalia is wearing a pair of glasses, a sheath skirt and a smart blouse with a colorful scarf at her throat. She licks the tip of a quill, dabs it in ink, and then notes something on a fantasy steno pad. "Excuse me, what?"

Male Half-Elf Fighter(Tactician)

Alright than Thalia shall keep the naughty list and "punish" the older naughty people. Now on to colors any idea on what colors we should wear? I get bored and do ideas not much else to do.

No red. Or burgundy. We must come up with an entirely new color scheme that our illustrious patron would not approve of.

Nude?

Yellow, and black stripes.
Amber and Peridot. Hmmm... Amber and Peridot.

Male Half-Elf Fighter(Tactician)

I do not think that Nude would be right for us since little kids will be involved as well. Amber sounds cool I do not know about Peridot though for note I have no idea what amber and peridot look like as a color I guess amber is a orange brown though..

What children? More importantly whose children? Are we inviting peasants to this shindig of ours?

I thought we were planning an office party. I was going to try to get a couple of bottles of Elven Absinthe to chill Raxus out and make him more presentable for the night (gives 1d4 bonus to CHA when consumed). Plans within plans.

Amber and Peridot.

Male Half-Elf Fighter(Tactician)

Those seem fine with me, Felina will wear both and Raxus will wear one color while I wear the other. Hey hey no getting Raxus drunk I do not even know if a couple of bottle would get him drunk. Anyway note for people who are getting stuck into stuff sorry but hey it fits. On to other stuff what will be the animal that pulls Felina's whatever we pick to have Felina ride around in. Any ideas on that? I think some giant spiders would make Felina happy.

Great, my throne will be built upon the backs of vermin.

I mean... Raxus's throne will be built upon a pile of broken skulls and bones.

I mean...

Male Half-Elf Fighter(Tactician)

Well we can go with lions help with the skulls and bones along with being cool looking. We could also find other things thought spiders would fit since Felina seems to like vermin.

All right, I'm bored. I'll throw up some stuff that Thalia will be doing on her last night in the cathedral if anyone is interested.

Utterly confused by Thalia's words and not wanting to seem like he doesn't understand, Mikam merely nods in agreement. Then, almost sheepishly he picks up his pack, moves off to the side of the road a bit, and sits.

Oh gods, I'm laughing so hard right now. Gotta love them dice rolls.

Cyean - From the SRD.

You can change the initial attitudes of nonplayer characters with a successful check. The DC of this check depends on the creature’s starting attitude toward you, adjusted by its Charisma modifier.

PCs are not NPCs. The do not have "initial attitudes."

I am gonna hold off on posting that we're moving until A. I've received an answer from our courier about Desmond, and/or B. Toanga has started moving as well.

Also liking how everyone assumes that Thalia is the aggressor when it was Felina that hurled the accusation that Thalia was a back stabbing b~%$$ without cause. *laughs*

I'd say that although PC's are not NPC's we should try to react differently to a good Diplomacy roll than a bad one. Not be bound to react well but maybe see things in a different light.

As I said, it wasn't an argument. Felina accused Thalia of being a back stabber and refused to trust her. Thalia put her off with a jest, and then Cyean stepped in and tried to play mediator for a non-situation, making one out of nothing.

I can play Thalia more Winterflower and remain completely silent, but then I'm sure the entire party will misinterpret everything and kill her on the first night.

I'm playing Winterflower as cursed for a period not exceeding three days, so her trickery and lust are going to be meted out with jests and general surliness until she can do something of value.

Male Half-Elf Fighter(Tactician)

I was not trying to change initial attitude that was done the night before. Was trying to calm things down before anything else started. Seems like it just to Thalia though when you post the most though.

Male Taldan Magical Engineer/1 hp 7/7; AC 14/10/14

Well, I have to say that I am quite happy with the roleplay for this opening. Its nice to see complex people portrayed rather than simple caricatures. I look forward to our further adventures.

I'm looking forward to drawing more Winterflower out of Thalia. :)

You're free to play any conversation, argument or anything during the trip. Once you're done you will arrive at Rigueur without any incidents.

V: 56/56, W: 74/74, Temp HP 18, AC 17*, Fort +11*, Ref +9, Will +10*, Rage 23/23 , Power 9/9, Psi 7/7, Active Effects: Bull Strength

If the conversations keep going the way they have been the first "incident" may be Raxus murdering half the party...

Good thing I set Winterflower to observation mode then. A hit from Raxus is likely over 50% likely to land and kill her in a single blow.

Male Taldan Magical Engineer/1 hp 7/7; AC 14/10/14

I am ready to move forward to the town. I don't expect there to be much more conversation.

I was considering having Mikam chatter on incessantly behind Raxus the whole walk....but I knew that you would arrive to the town "mysteriously" down a party member.

I agree with continuing to the town. I believe we have had enough time to sit around talking to and creating hostility among each other without a common goal to work towards that will highlight our talents and potential to contribute.

Party tension is always good to keep characters on their toes, but outright hostility is never good.

Male Taldan Magical Engineer/1 hp 7/7; AC 14/10/14

Are we stalled out?

Looks that way.

Oh Gamemaster? I think we're waiting on you.

I am sorry to dissapoint you but there's no manor it's just a normal house that isn't on the brink of falling over.

Hehe. Thalia called it a manor compared to the remainder that I imagined were like the shacks built out of discarded garage doors in northern Mexico. I guess it stuck.

*laughs*

To make it clear, he has said wink out loud at the same time as he winked.

Male Taldan Magical Engineer/1 hp 7/7; AC 14/10/14

So, out of curiosity, this is just a collection of shack/houses in the middle of nowhere? Is there any reason for these houses to be here? A temple, farms, a market, a crossroads, a bridge/ford across a river?

Or just don't worry about it because this place has absolutely no bearing on our future adventures whatsoever?

There are some cultivated fields around. It seems like somebody built a house near his fields and then some other people thought it would be a good idea to stick near fo safety reasons...

Male Half-Elf Fighter(Tactician)

I rewrote that post about five times.

Male Half-Elf Fighter(Tactician)

Ser Granger you are from House Medvyed right? Would you know more character or no?

Hahaha. This game is fun.

Bards are bandits, if you play them that way.

You realize the first bad diplomacy roll you make you're gonna be dead don't you? *wink*

That's why I took the sleep spell. *laughs*

"Why don't you (insert formal for group of males/females here) have a little nap?"

Cyean wrote:

Sev is from that house, but only secretly. He fled his birthright after being accused of murder. He's back and VERY different from the noble he was.

Male Half-Elf Fighter(Tactician)

Sorry I meant my character. I do not know how old Sev is though or how long ago he left.

V: 56/56, W: 74/74, Temp HP 18, AC 17*, Fort +11*, Ref +9, Will +10*, Rage 23/23 , Power 9/9, Psi 7/7, Active Effects: Bull Strength

I'm afraid I may have missed something. I posted that Raxus was posting guard outside. Mikam stayed outside with me.

I thought Thalia had gotten upset and stormed outside, which is where we were talking.

Is that the case? If we are all inside, that's fine, I'll roll with it, but I did post guard outside specifically to keep an eye out for this kind of trouble.

Male Half-Elf Fighter(Tactician)

We all went inside after Thalia was being herself as to not bother the neighbors but did not work out to well?

Thalia is almost never "herself." Except when she is.

I thought the idea of pretending that the almost all male party was trying to pull a train on the bard might work if it was the ladies who showed up. Alternatively, someone smart could say "hey, the bard's plan of looking out the upstairs windows is pretty smart, too"

V: 56/56, W: 74/74, Temp HP 18, AC 17*, Fort +11*, Ref +9, Will +10*, Rage 23/23 , Power 9/9, Psi 7/7, Active Effects: Bull Strength

We did? When did that happen?

My intentions were to have raxus remain outside. The house seemed like it would be a cramped fit for him, and I wanted to make sure that we weren't snuck up on.

Thalia "Winterflower" wrote:

I think this is a great idea, actually, and was going to say so after I figured out how we all suddenly got inside despite my best efforts to post watch.

Fragile people should go upstairs with ranged weapons while frontliners stay in the streets.

Raxus & Mikam:
Even though the noise reaches those inside through the open door, whoever is making the talking seems to have come at the back of the house Badly drawn map

Male Taldan Magical Engineer/1 hp 7/7; AC 14/10/14

Although there is something to be said for not being surrounded in the ramshackle pile of matchsticks if someone in the mob gets bright enough to throw a torch.

Gotcha. Thanks for clearing that up.

Initiate forward distraction power - Lusty Bard!

Although, I don't believe that were the type of distraction that Raxus was expecting. :P

Raxus... are you going to enter the hut or are you going to use the door as a shield?

Use the door as a shield, sort of. More specifically, Soft Cover

Well, after so much and so good roleplaying it will be interesting to see how you do with rollplaying.
