hey guys, i apologize but i have a crazy day tomorrow and probably won't be able to post at all until late afternoon/early evening (eastern US time)... if you want to move the story along before then feel free to have me quietly follow along (and/or make any necessary rolls for me)

My post rate will be slow this week.
I had a major revision for my thesis proposal and it's due to be presented tomorrow. Then who knows how many minor revisions my panelists would ask for? :/

I don't want to lose too much momentum, but I've also taken the last 2 or 3 actions myself... so I'm going to wait to post until at least 1 (maybe both) of my companions have had a chance to post something.

i'm going to be out of town for the weekend. i'll probably be able to keep up pretty well via phone posts, but if you end up waiting on me at all please feel free to bot me as necessary.

Once I get home (and have access to a computer again) I'll update my encumbrance and add the loot from the last rooms (and any others we find) to the group loot spoiler.

I get 4 AoOs per round (and have 10' reach), please feel free to make those as part of the enemy's post if that'll streamline things.

my kids are off school this week (so i'm going to be home with them a ton, and super busy at work when i'm there)... i'll try to keep my post rate up but they'll probably mostly be super short posts. sorry.

Starting this weekend, I'm not sure how often I can manage to post since I'll be working on a company project in China for the following 30 days. Hopefully, the internet connection is stable at the staff house so I can at least keep up somehow. :)

Can we maybe get a status report on this campaign? It looks like may be the GM is waiting on Cyth? I know this thread slowed down for a while but I enjoy it and would like to keep it going if possible… Could we maybe GMPC her character for one round to keep things moving?

below i'll post a list of just the magic items we found. if anyone wants to keep one just post that you're doing so... instead of paying full price at a market you can take it as part of your share (functionally just paying the resale value, which means you get it at half price!)

sadly, Jason, the mask is art so if you want to keep wearing it you have to pay the full 75g.

updating group loot/encumbrance to reflect liquidating everything. I may 'buy' some of the magic stuff depending on what Jason and Cyth want. if I do, I'll record it in my proper equipment section.

I ask this so I can easily see what changes are made and double-check to be sure everything's in order and shouldn't break the game's balance too badly. Aliases should only be updated after the changes are listed here.

With 10+ encounters / adventuring day, guardian is going to be important for resource conservation.

Much better, and the updates look fine - and yes, resource conservation is important. XD I highly recommend always having at least one thing you can do all day long if you have to - warriors have it easier in that regard.

i'm working on leveling (and adding mythic) right now... hoping to post a tentative update tonight or tomorrow... going to take champion for my path (and dual path feat for archmage).

one question though: we're using the FAQ version of wild arcana, right? i'm planning to take arcane surge right now (i think i need the action economy over the versatility) but if you're using the original wording i'll have to switch to wild arcana because its too crazy good to pass up...

The FAQ version would be the most appropriate, yes. ^^

That particular nation and Google aren't always on good terms. XD; Fortunately, we're not even in the next dungeon yet, so you don't have to worry about that.

Do we just assume that once we're out of the dungeon, we can easily sell all these things easily? Also, aside from gold, what are our limitations to buying gear?

You don't need to have discussions with merchants while out of dungeons - you can just go ahead and make the transactions, assuming that the shops are there and have what you want. All Paizo products are available if you've got the money, and third-party stuff is available on request. ^^

(This isn't really a game about stopping you from getting the gear you want. Rather, because you can't flee anytime you want, or have a fifteen-minute adventuring day, I think it's more fair to at least let you prepare however you want within the budget you have.)

Strategy-wise, I'll focus on being a spellcaster. Specifically on damage dealing spells. Dual path is tempting, but that +2 to DC is just too much to pass as well... :)

Too bad I don't have access to 2nd level spells yet.

Mythic Feat: Remember that Dual Path can ONLY be taken at 1st tier. If you want it at all, take it now.

EDIT: I've decided on going with what's in my spoiler above. None of the 1st tier abilities really work for my concept.
EDIT 2: Wait... Since we're all Arcane casters, Wand of Infernal Healing would be our heal stick I guess.

Yeah, that one's kind of a special case. XD Just be sure you know what you want to get in the future - it doesn't give you more abilities (past the basic one), it just lets you pick from a bigger list.

Yeah, I did browse through the path abilities. As it is, I don't think I can even get all I want from the Archmage path. XD
