Here is my submission. Don't hesitate if there are any modifications you would like me to make to the build, or if you would like me to further develop the backstory.

Starting Wealth: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 4, 3) = 12 = 120gp
(I'll work on gear if and when...)

Have there been any psionic archetypes that get inspiration dice as per the Investigator? Dreamscarred has never been shy about taking any remotely intresting ideas out of the main game, but I don't recall that one.

Redblade8 wrote:

As threatened, the first draft on Breacher. :) I know there are some inconsistencies between Warforged as they appear in HL and the ruleset you're using; I'll iron them out ASAP. I'll add in some backstory elements and such as opportunity allows.

Any chance warforged can "inherit" the Aegis FCB that the forgeborn have in Ultimate Psi (+1/4 CP)? I'm fine either way, just never know if you don't ask.

** spoiler omitted **...

I'd rather wait a while before adding any Favored Class Options.

Psychonauts are way cool. Possibly the coolest of the archetypes except for mindchemists.

Davia D wrote:
Hm, still pretty unsure of what I want.. would a Vigilante work? I know some DMs don't like the thematics

It's up to you. The vigilante is more of a low fantasy class. With the exception of the possibility of having a He-Man type character with one of the Vigilante archetypes. I haven't DMed a vigilante before, and remember the game is high fantasy.

I just noticed how useful the Vigilante class would be for a changeling. Especially for a becomer. Not that I want you to become a vigilante. I just find it ironic.

Not that I know of.

Gramaton, NG, Warforged Cleric of the Becoming God, Age: 6

”Background”:

Gramaton was sold and served the first part of his life fighting in the war under the banner of Karrnath. He remembered well the day news of what happened in Cyre came and what happened. The human general leading the forces of which he was a part as well as the skeleton hordes that they had been fighting alongside. The order was given to halt, for three days they stood, the rain poured down as they help position and the Warforged talked. They spoke of the loss of Cyre, they spoke of awakening in the forges but now it was gone. For many of them as they discussed with no enemy to fight, no road to march or scouting to do they could only dwell upon this change, a near immutable truth that though they might fall the forge would continue… now it was gone and yet they remained,

After two years of negotiation the treaty was signed and they set out. Gramaton travelled for a time with his unit but they found people distrusted them moving even in a small formation. They broken into smaller groups, travelling in groups of five and agreeing to meet at certain points at fixed times. When they met sometimes a group didn’t arrive, or had lost members. There were a finite number of warforged, the forge was gone and no new one would be built though potentially immortal they were a dying people.

During these gatherings they met other warforged who had fought under other banners and found a kind of kinship. Two stories caught their imagination, the Lord of Blades and the Becoming God. They discussed these ideas, concepts, entities however you viewed them excitedly. But the Lord of Blades was cruel, he had seen much cruelty ordered by his commanders while fighting for Karrnath but only in the time since had come to understand it truly. Gramaton did not like the future given by the Lord of Blades though if it were to be believed this figure was physical and real.

The Becoming God, was hope to Gramaton, new potential that the Warforged could bring into being in a way a child of their race and as an immortal god it could live on as a testament to their existence beyond even their possible long lives. Gramaton believes that the Becoming God’s nature will be defined by those who help form and nurture it in it’s slumbering period before it awakes and truly comes into being.

Gramaton journeys to better understand belief, faith and divinity. To make the world a better place and in doing so help be part of the creation of something better than himself.

Hello, I am really interested in getting into an Eberron Game... been years since I played there.

I would like to submit Gerryt Plainsman a Halfling native to the talenta plains, currently employed by house Jorasco, and his mount Glen the Clawfoot .

** spoiler omitted **

A saurian druid. That's different, but it works.

I've Always had a soft spot for the Talenta plain Halflings and there dinosaurs.. and there are plenty of ways to get a dinosaur companion. (Druid, Maddog Barbarian, Hunter, Sacred Huntsmaster Inquisitor, Wild Child Brawler. If you're willing to wait till 4th level, Saurian Domain Cleric, Nature Oracle and ranger all deliver one as well.) I considered all of the above but settled on the druid, and figured if you're going to be a druid with a dinosaur you might as well be a dinosaur shaman.

While I'm at it I had taken average roll for wealth... do you prefer us to roll?
Starting Druid Wealth: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 3) = 9
If so that's 20 extra gold for me if you prefer us rolling.

This friday.

Just some fluff.

Spoiler:

Citlackhad was an unusual Kalashtar. When he was born he was large for a Kalshtar baby and that trend continued as he grew. Living in Sharn was difficult for Citlackhad, being so unlike the other children. He was serious stern and not at all playful, but given to helping other in secret he jumped at the chance to join the Sharn army and fight in the Last War.

Although the rules and feeling of service suited Citlackhad the Last War ended before it was able to make a permanent mark on him. Now unsure of his place in the world he comes to visit a cousin living in the small village of Stillstone Holt.

I'm in the process of making a profile for Breacher, in which I'm aiming to resolve some of the inconsistencies I mentioned between Hero Lab and the Eberron conversion we're using. WIP, natch. :)

Ok, got my idea.

Jessilel Lyn, Half-Elf Master Summoner from Cyre/Breland.

Working on the sheet now, should have ready tomorrow ^^

Question re: the aegis class feature, Astral Repair.

Astral Repair (Ps):
An aegis is capable of repairing mundane items, restoring 2 hit points of damage to the touched item as a standard action usable at will. If the object has the broken condition, this condition is removed if the object is restored to at least half its original hit points. All of the pieces of an object must be present for this ability to function. This ability has no effect on objects that have been warped or otherwise transmuted, but it can still repair damage done to such items.

Can that be used to heal a warforged? (I'd figure not, just want to make sure.)
Can it at least let me make heal checks on myself without a warforged repair kit?

Arcane Training: Can use spell trigger and spell completion items for their favored class as if one level higher. This racial trait replaces the multitalented racial trait.
Dual Minded: The mixed ancestry of some half-elves makes them resistant to mental attacks. Half-elves with this racial trait gain a +2 bonus on all Will saving throws. This racial trait replaces the adaptability racial trait.
Elven Reflexes: +2 initiative
Witty Repartee: +1 Bluff and it becomes a class skill

--------------------
Summoning
--------------------
Eidolon (Lesser): Can summon a powerful outsider known as an Eidolon in a ritual that takes one minute. When summoned in this way, it’s hit points are unchanged from the last time it was dismissed or banished. If slain, it returns at half normal hit points It doesn’t heal naturally. The eidolon remains until dismissed (standard action). If slain, it cannot be summoned again until the following day. Dispel Magic can’t banish it, but dismissal and banishment can, as does Jessilel being rendered unconscious or dead. The eidolon’s Hit Dice, saves, skills, feats, and abilities are tied to the summoner’s class level (1/2).
Life Link: Whenever the eidolon takes enough damage to send it back to its home plane, the summoner can sacrifice any number of hit points. Each hit point sacrificed in this way prevents 1 point of damage done to the eidolon. This can prevent the eidolon from being sent back to its home plane.
The eidolon and the summoner must remain within 100 feet of one another for the eidolon to remain at full strength. If the eidolon is between 100 and 1,000 feet, its current and max hit points are reduced by 50%. If the eidolon is between 1,000 and 10,000 feet, its current and maximum hit point totals are reduced by 75%. If the eidolon is more than 10,000 feet away, it is immediately returned to its home plane. Current hit points lost like this are not restored when the eidolon gets closer to its summoner, but its maximum hit point total does return to normal.
Summoning Mastery: Starting at 1st level, a master summoner casts summon monster 1 as a SLA 5 + charisma modifier per day. The summoner can use this ability when his eidolon is summoned. Only one summon monster spell may be in effect while the eidolon is summoned. If the summoner’s eidolon is not summoned, the number of creatures that can be summoned with this ability is only limited by its uses per day. This ability otherwise functions as the summoner’s normal summon monster ability. Other than these restrictions, there is no limit to how many summon monster or gate spells the summoner can have active at one time.

Background:

A socialite from Cyre who was in Breland with her diplomat mother when the Morning hit. Initially devastated and spending a month in a deep depression, when she came to she dived into the Brelish social scene as if nothing was wrong. Practicing magic, she used summoning to show off at parties, eventually growing skilled enough to call her own Eidolon, an Azata, who loved the parties! - though did often subtly insist she should be doing more, hinting that going out and adventuring may be 'fun' as well.

Though she claims to be in it for simple enjoyment, this may be a superficial excuse for something deeper.

A1. No it cannot. There are wizard spells that can do that (Unseen Crafter in Races of Eberron page 191). And Artificers and Alchemists with the proper equipment can repair a warforged.

Background:
Rivaine is one of the Umbragen. In their ongoing war against Belashyrra and his armies, many of the Umbra Drow have sent out agents into the the world to find weapons they can use against the Daelkyr Lord and his legion. Rivaine is one of those agents. Perhaps the dreaming dark and the inspired might have something that can help turn the tide in the Umbragen's favour.

Please let me know if anything needs fixing or editing.

list of characters who have been applied so far:

  • Gerryt Plainsmen, a halfling Saurian shaman.
  • Citlakhad, a Kalashtar soulknife.
  • Enkidu, a Shifter bloodrager.
  • Yuki Tsune, Nine-tailed heir from Droaam.
  • Zohruk, half-orc ranger.
  • Rivaine, umbragen drow slayer
  • Jessilel Lyn, master summoner.
  • Citlackhad, a soulknife from Sharn.
  • Gramaton, Warforged Cleric of the Becoming God.
  • Dolos, Rogue Bandit Knife Master.

I'll make a choice after lunch.

DM, instead of Zohruk, I would like you to please consider Breacher for this game. I can likely play a half-orc ranger in many other games; this guy is a little more specific to this setting. :)

Thanks!

As the Eidolon of Jessilel will take serpentine base form, I plan on playing up the couatl connection a little, if it comes up.
