Male Gnome Sorcerer (sylvan)/1st

The gnome moves closer to the fray, while Kobo seeks to sink his fangs into the agile yet flanked goblin.
Bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Dmg.: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
With Trip attempt: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19 I believe the goblin is tripped and prone.

Liberty's Edge

As the last goblin goes down to Kobo, you now hold the gate to the city. A number of dead goblins litter the area, far more than you are responsible. (There are 7 goblins in all, including the 3 you just killed.) Littered among the goblins are a number of bones, much to large to be goblins, but still humanoid. Most of the city is raised up, with walkways connecting the different buildings.

Male Gnome Sorcerer (sylvan)/1st

Gozzamer goes around with his sickle, taking the ears of the goblins both magic and fang fell, and taking a few of the pre-dead goblins, taking 3 pairs in all.
If no one else claims them, the gnome will pilfer the rest.

Ayame let out a long sigh when the last goblin fell. "Okay, I really didn't like goblins to begin with, now I really don't like them." She told the group as she placed a hand on her hip.

Sarhashil stepped into the area and looked around. He saw more death than they were responsible. He worried someone else had shown up to do the job for them. He scratched his head a bit confused.

He looked over his shoulder at the others. "Village was attacked, makes goblins even more defensive. Talking will be harder. Should check for survivors. Goblins alone might offer surrender and could be swayed." he said nodding.

Murderers? So far, you've tried talking to them many times, they continually prove them to be exactly what society as a whole has objectified them as? So far, no one in this group has attacked first, I mean using defensive spells and abilities sure or even pacifistic....but I mean murderers? I could agree to Mercenaries or Bounty Hunters to describe the group :P

Sovereign Court

Human Tien Female HP 4/10|Fort +2|Ref +6|Will +1| Init: +3 Ninja 1

To be fair, we've tried to be accommodating? I waited to see if the goblin up here was going to attack or not. This particular tribe apparently doesn't want to negotiate so far, Dav. Don't take it personal. We're not trying to tell you how to play your characters. Don't tell us how to play ours. For a paladin of love and compassion, Dav hasn't really been empathetic. Yes, Raiyume is a murderer. She's a ninja. That doesn't mean she glorifies it. However, she will use whatever skills she has to make sure that her friends don't die, and she'll atone for dishonorable combat to her goddess later. Sorry for the rant length :/

Raiyume removes the ears of the one upstairs, and drops them on Gozzamer playfully. "Only take the ones from our own kills. We didn't earn the others." Raiyume takes a quick glance around the village, afforded from her higher positioning.

Perception, if you'd like one?: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20

Male Gnome Sorcerer (sylvan)/1st

Gozzamer looks exasperated at Raiyume as dead goblin ears tumble of his head, until he realizes it was all in jest.
Smiling up at the tien woman, the gnomes quips, "Waste not, want not!" To prove his point, he quickly pockets the goblin ears.

He said diplomacy takes 10 rounds, and one wasn't a murderer, but the gnome seemed murder happy. Also, he is doing his best. He is quite arrogant still

Davlamin will wordlessly start to dig graves for the goblins and bury them when his companions are done. He will mutter a few prayers over each grave, making sure to do so in front of the Gnome. He will also take time burying the bones.

knowledge local DC15:
The bones look to all be from humans, not other types of humanoids.

knowledge local DC20:
The features from the skulls indicate all of the skeletons were likely Tien in origin.

heal DC15:
The bones look to be several decades old, and show a lot of signs of having been in water for much of that time over the years. Many of the bones have fresh breaks, making it look like the goblins have been hacking and smashing the bones rather recently.

"Perhaps we should check the rest of the village? It seems a little quiet...too quiet," Raiyume says as she continues to keep an eye out from her perch.

Liberty's Edge

The village looks to be a number of raised buildings connected by wooden walkways up in the air. (The "village" seems to be built on the level Raiyume is at. There is a ladder that goes to that building.)

It does seem strangely quiet after the battle. You would have expected more goblins to join in the defense.

That fact is fine with Gozzamer. He's all out of his offensive spells.

"We should see what else there is in this village. Perhaps all is not as it seems. Looks like the way forward is up here."

Raiyume keeps her eyes peeled as she starts heading deeper into the village.

Liberty's Edge

As you begin to search the village, the hut in the northwest corner looks to have been inhabited by 6 to 10 goblins at one time, but now it stands abandoned. The two guard towards that overlook the courtyard stand just as empty. The entire village has an eerie feel to it. Other than the few stragglers you ran into guarding the gate, the entire place is a ghost town.

I've uncovered the whole map of the village. You can see how the structures interconnect, and from the guard towers, you are able to look over the entire village.

The only activity you spot up in the watchtowers is several goblins picking through the ruins of a burned hut on the east side of the village. It's possible others are hiding in the many other structures on the south end of the village, but it would require going and searching.

survival DC12:
There is a mix of canine and humanoid footprints fount both in the courtyard and on the wall. The prints tracked through both mud and blood.

survival DC15:
The courtyard also has a set of strange tracks that you believe belonged to a pig. The pig looks like it escaped a pen in the courtyard and fled out of the village.

survival DC18:
The humanoid tracks are both small (presumably goblins) and medium. Some of the medium tracks look to have been missing boots and show bone impressions instead of foot impressions.

survival DC21:
The canine tracks look to belong to large wolves. One specimen is far larger than the others, but even the smaller wolves look bigger than normal.

survival DC24:
The most recent tracks show goblins and wolves have gone towards the south of the village, but there aren't recent tracks of medium humanoids.

arcana dc12 (if DC21+ survival made):
The large wolves are actually more likely worgs, large wolflike magical beasts that are intelligent and often weight up to 300 lbs.

Judging by the remains found, the things ayame had to say earlier, and the footprints on the ground... "Guys, I don't think we, or anyone like us, was the main threat here. My guess is that they were attacked by someone who had control over the dead. Either that, or they had a really bad case of no-meat-on-the-bones feet. Perhaps if Dav has a chance to speak with some of these goblins, we can trade them a peace treaty for taking care of their dead problem."
