So whats up with everyone today. It's rainy wet and windy here, so basically a normal newfoundland day. I get to work at the corner store tonight so there should be less drunks in than per my usual Friday or Saturday night. I think it'll be an easy going shift.

EDIT: I still have no clue what the whole "handcramps" thing is all about and I doubt I ever will.

Funny enough because of the ocean we won't see snow till likely mid- to late December.

I also started watching "The Big Bang Theory" today it's pretty good.

Starting the day pissed at the job. New "procedures" have been implemented at my boss' whim that will make us look bad if we are audited ahead of schedule. Which our sister program was just yesterday. I'm frustrated as hell over this, because things had been flowing quite smoothly for a while, but then this bump in the road makes things untenable.

Aside from that, though, not much. Have to write an e-mail for the second job, but that promises to be more fun than annoying. Also don't have a shift on said job tonight and since I worked all day yesterday I'm thinking I'll leave an hour early today and come in an hour early tomnorrow and make the most of my time by writing for Darklight Sisterhood and other projects. Also really need to go shopping for Halloween, I'm thinking a trip to the mall is in order. I'm trying to think about whether or not I should put stress and wear on my shirt for Louis or not- I want to have the shirt(and perhaps pants? Hmm...) handy for job interviews and days where I want to look presentable at functions(rare, but it does happen), but I also want to look authentic(inb4 "You should lose 30 pounds to play Louis"). Dilemma and decisions...

That's about it for now. I've got some paperwork dragon to wrassle with, so I'll check in later on.

They did the same when I saw the death of Captain Kirk. Who would have thought that the only people in the theater that day would be die hard trekkies.

I didn't see that one until a few years after it came out (I was 7 when it was released), but I was just plain pissed at the ending. The greatest captain in Starfleet gets crushed under a bridge and dies like a punk. What a f$%!ing waste.

When I woke up for class this morning (on four hours of sleep in two days), I was so tired I felt like I was going to throw up. At this point, missing class was worth it.

Die Hard with a Vengeance in my pants just doesn't work in my opinion. We order chinese food at a lot of our gaming sessions, and we do the fortunes "in game." That can be pretty interesting if you really feel like RPing some of the fortunes.

Also, 11, know that I have nothing against you or your profession. I've had to work on a college campus before and I know how hard it can be. I'm just wise to a lot of the scams that certain professors pull with respect to the school bookstore, who is often just as much of a victim as the students are.

Professors are pulling the scam? I'd sure like to know how that works. Chairpersons and publishers, however...

They wrote themselves in a corner. Spock (and Bones and Scotty) all appeared in tNG series, so they couldn't kill them off with Shatner dying.

Also, read Shatner's Star Trek novels. (After stealing the idea directly from my brain) He brought Kirk back by having the Romulans team up with the Borg to clone a new Kirk who's off traipsing around tNG galaxy. (see "ShatnerVerse")

mini rant:

"Message to Banksters..."

Grrrrr.

I so want to comment on that thread. But I know that I wouldn't be able to be nice about it. I'm in the business. And more involved with what is being talked about than many who are "in the business". It is a lot more complicated than NPC Dave is making it out to be. And there are MANY places we could (and should) be pointing fingers besides the financial institutions. And he throws in bits and pieces of half-assed information and then makes conclusions based on this. I'm already frustrated enough at work at needing to overdisclose to the borrower with documents that make no sense to the borrower and ask the borrower for for information that we NEVER had to before. (I need written explanations on any deposit made to your account over $250.) And believe me that none of this actually fixes the problem. The problem is actually that people don't have jobs. The mortgage industry didn't cause that problem and we can't fix that problem either. If you have a job, current 30 year fixed rates are around 4%. People are being foreclosed on because they lost their job/income. And all the documentation in the world cannot predict that.

And "Title Insurance"? I really feel that is one of the biggest [legal] scams in the US. Every mortgage transaction costs the borrower around $2,000 for everything that goes into "Title Costs" -- I have have YET to see them actually insure anything.
