The monster that is Tomb of Horrors.
Two groups are going through this.
For some reason I set up a second game thread for Group 2, but not for Group 1.

Samson strides forward, determined to get out of the room as soon as possible. Brutally jabbing at the tapestry masking the door, he leaves the exit clear.
1d20+18=33 - basic melee against tapestry. Hits. 17 damage.
OUT OF COMBAT. Please take 1767XP each bringing you to a total of 39,433.
Male Orcish-Nerathi Chelaxian Hybrid Ranger|Executioner Assassin
As he's about to follow Samson out of the room, a plate of juicy steaks catches the ranger's attention. He hauls it out of the feast hall for further investigation.
Acerack appears to have a particularly perverted sense of humour. The food is not just good to eat, but restorative as well. Norrin the natural gourmet realises that eating this food will restore lost powers and health.
i.e. if you take 5 minutes to eat this stuff, you gain the effect of an extended rest. HP/surges/powers restore to full, APs reset to 1.
Piles of sweet smelling strawberries, mountainous trifles and heaping dishes of lovingly crafted cake swim before the paladin's eyes, dazzling him with choice.
[ooc]No problem and welcome back. Has anyone seen or heard anything of Darwyn lately? He's in Ireland and I know has had hideous internet problems. Those won't have been helped if he's been hit by the same snow and ice we've had here.[/oco]
The archway leads down a short section of corridor which opens out into a ruined chamber. Around the crumbling walls, altars (or something very like them) wait, piled high with skulls. There is no obvious exit.

Darion notices noting particularly untoward.
A juxtaposition that only makes sense in ToH . . .
Norrin and Samson lead the way in. Nothing moves or disturbs the ancient skull piles, but on the table to the left Norrin sees something glinting deep among the bones.
Norrin sees no monsters (nor any exits) before rooting through the skulls to find the source of the glitter. He finds a brooch, long forgotten but still infused with arcane power.
Spoiler:
Brooch of No Regrets
Level: 13
Price: 17,000 gp
Item Slot: Neck
Enhancement: +3 Fortitude, Reflex, and Will
Power (Daily): Free Action. Use this power when an ally within 20 squares of you fails a saving throw. That ally rerolls that saving throw with a +2 power bonus and must use the second result, even if it’s lower.
They didn't, but many of you have no wish lists and this seemed like a useful item for anyone, particularly given the preponderance of save ends effects being hurled at you.
Speaking of which - Christmas is coming. Even in the depths of the Tomb of Horrors I may be inclined to generosity. If you haven't done a wish list yet, get one up and in your profile where I can find it :)
The dead continue to sleep quietly in the chamber. Nothing moves, threatens or breaks the silence apart from the footsteps of the companions and the creak of armour and weaponry.
I was just thinking that during some training actually. lol
You said the walls were crumbling. Are there any doorways we can climb to? Can we see through gaps in the walls? Either to the outside or to other rooms? Has the floor collapsed anywhere? If so, can we see the room below?
Darion looks around at the crumbling walls and debris.
"I wonder what caused this damage... Does anyone see a way out of here or shall we head back the way we came?"
Perception again since I'm actually within the room? 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Darion sees no doorways or other visible exits. The collapsed walls are simply old and uncared for and reveal no further rooms beyond the one you are in. The floor however is surprisingly intact.
"Well, it looks like we should head back the way we came. Let me know when you all are ready."
Darion scans the rubble and tables one last time before heading toward the door.
I'm stumped Rev. I'll try perception again to see if there are any religious markings or trap doors or anything linked to the tables but I think it may require someone else to get us moving again :P
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
Religion (if relevant): 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17
Aaaand just in case...Dungeoneering to see if Darion can figure out why the floor isn't trashed along with the rest of the room...1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
Just as he's on the point of giving up, Darion sees that there is a slight discrepancy in the floor. Careful prodding reveals a pit, dropping twenty feet. Unpleasant spikes adorn the bottom, but with care they can be navigated.
Just needed a higher perception check from inside the room.
By the way, who is using the Brooch of No Regrets?
Pit descent is a DC20 Athletics to avoid the spikes. Only one character can fit down at the bottom.
"Wait a second! Check this out, there's a pit here! I'd like to climb down but I'm honestly a bit worried I'll fall onto the spikes with all this plate on. Perhaps someone more nimble could see what's down there?"
Darion kicks a rock down into the pit, curiousity beginning to get the best of him.
