Gryf points out what he find and gathers it all up into his bag.

Agreeing with Haru, he whispers back. "We split up then three at the front three from the ladder. The ones in the front go first then the ladder ones come up 10 seconds later. I will take the lead and be the first to enter the hut." He speaks not to ask but to tell but looks to his brother, no matter how sure of himself he was his brother always had something to add.

Gryf is heading through the front with Marten and Haru - ladder/surprise team is Friday and Val.

Feeling the adrenaline build up inside him he wants nothing more than to run right for that door. But they have fireworks.. and we should work as a team. He hears his brothers words now counseling him. "Me, Haru and my brother will take the front. Friday you take Val and come up through the ladder when you hear us come barrel through door." Gripping his Axe tight in both hands he is ready to cut down a few more goblins.

I will move up and try and barge the door open hoping to surprise who or whatever is in there.


The party gets into their positions, ready to unleash hell on the goblins waiting inside. The chattering of goblins becomes quieter as the team approaches the front door.

Gryf, you want to give me a Strength check to bust the doors down?

Well...


Gryf rams his shoulder against the door, silencing the goblin chattering on the other side, but otherwise not making any progress. It appears that the door is barred from the other side.

However, his efforts have revealed something--peeking through the gap in the front doors, it appears that the doors are barred with a simple iron bar across the doorknobs. The gap in the doors is wide enough to slip a blade through.

You can keep using Strength to try to bust the doors down regardless, or one of you can use Disable Device to try to get the doors open.

A scratchy, nasally goblin voice barks out something in Goblin from beyond the door.

"Ty není dostat se sem, Dlouhán! Můžete s nimi ty kostnaté, viď ?! Dali jsme vám zpět své stupidní poklad už - nechte nás na pokoji!"

Goblin:
"You not getting in here, Longshanks! You with them bony ones, aren't you?! We gave you back your stupid treasure already--leave us alone!"

Unable to understand the goblins chattering beyond the door, Marten lends his weight to Gryf's battering.

Bouncing back from the door, even with his brothers help. Gryf clenches his fists as he begins to shake lining up the door again, the shouts of the goblins fueling him on as he screams out. "Now!" Then he charges the door once again.

At Gryf's signaling shout Friday will open the trapdoor.

This time, Gryf's efforts are greatly rewarded--the doors fly open and the bar holding them back shatters in two, much to the consternation of the room's occupants!

The room is full of goblins, with dogslicers readied and gripped in trembling green hands. At the far end of the room is seated an obese goblin, wearing a crown of twigs & junk. His leather armour is straining over his paunch, and what appears to be some sort of firework is in his hands. This must be Chief Rendwattle Gutwad.

"Získat jim, blázni!" The chieftain barks!

Goblin:
"Get them, you fools!"

Seing the romm filled with goblins Gryf pulls his axe from his back and instantly strikes down on the goblin in front of him. "This ends here!"

Gryf cuts down one goblin with ease!

Gutwad cackles with glee and aims his firework at the three at the front door, lighting it with a match from his throne of junk! The remaining goblins leap into action, with one leaping at Gryf...

Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4
...and stabbing him in the thigh with his weapon!

Another goblin swings at Marten...

...and manages to slice open Marten's collar, dangerously close to his neck!

Friday, you'll see the inside of the room with all the goblins. There's another door off to the right that appears to lead into some sort of treasury.

Nodding in thanks to Valeria Friday steps forth towards Haru's familiar song. Spotting a goblin ahead he attacks.

Friday's spear lands above the goblin's head with a loud *THUNK*. All the goblins stop and briefly turn in the direction of the noise.

"Plížit útok! Plížit útok! Záludný Dlouhán!" One of them crows.

Goblin:
"Sneak attack! Sneak attack! Sneaky Longshanks!"

Marten is up!

That first round really hurt us. I'm down to 4 hp and Gryf is on 6.

Marten is just going to take total defence and 5 foot step forward hopefully Gryf will be able to clear out the goblin in front of him meaning Marten will have a space to step back into next round and cast in relative safety.

Reeling from the deadly blow he just received, Marten imagines the tortoise retreating into it's shell and though he steps slowly forward, raises his shield to protect himself.

AC next round is now 23


Some of the goblins are beginning to turn and face the spearman striking from the rear!

With the enhancement spell in-place on Friday's weapon (despite Friday's aim making her effort feel wasted), she quickly moved behind the warrior and started firing more beams of cold past him into the goblins.

His anger begins to boil over as the goblins push the attack slicing in to him, he's tried to hold it back but nows the time to truly let go with an enemy infront of him and people he needs to protect.

He screams out a man truly possessed now a storm that wipes out the world. He strikes down at the little puny goblin.

Gryf's swing mercilessly ends another goblin with impunity!

Gutwad points his firework at Gryf, cackles with glee... then he lets the firework fly!

The firework flies at Gryf and drives itself into his stomach, its fuse burning brightly! It doesn't hurt him, but it's trying to fly past him and explode...

A goblin drops its shortbow, draws its dogslicer, steps forward, and strikes again!

Attack 1: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
The goblin's swing goes wild and strikes the firework, denting it and fracturing the blade at the hilt--one more strike, and it's going to break!

Marten's goblin swings again...

Attack 2: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15
...but is unable to get past Marten's shield.

Two goblins turn their attention to the incoming Friday, with one shooting at him with its shortbow...

Ranged Attack 1: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3
...and sticking the man in the shoulder.

The other goblin ditches its bow and draws its dogslicer, stepping forward and swinging at him!

This time, his attack meets with no success.

The last goblin fires its bow at Gryf...

...and the arrow flies wildly over his shoulder. It appears the sparks flying from the firework have thrown off the goblin's aim.

Haru continues her song (Last round of performance, make it count people!) and looks for an opening for her arrows.

I don't think I can fire at anyone without either someone getting in the way or provoking an AoO. So, I'll cast a spell instead.

Haru pulls out a pair of tiny, candy-sized tarts from her spell-pouch along with a feather. Popping them in her mouth, she shouts, "Hey Chief Gutwad! Why did the baby goblin cross the road? Because he was stapled to the chicken!" and waves the feather in his direction as if tickling him from afar. Her lousy joke, combined with her magic, tries to force the goblin chief into a mystical state of helpless laughter.

Marten leans across and seeing the firework stuck between the plates of his brother's armor, grabs it and flings it back at Chief Gutwad!

Thanks to Marten's quick thinking, the firework's flight path is drastically altered--while it doesn't hit Gutwad, it gets stuck in his throne! The chieftain stops giggling and looks at the firework as it spews sparks every which way, blanching.

Gryfs rage continues to boil over again screaming out as he strikes down wanting to split the little goblin in half and put an end to them all.

While Gryf doesn't meet with much success, Valeria's frost ray manages to hit the goblin in front of Friday. It clips the goblin's ear, but it hits.

Gutwad tries to yank the firework free of his throne, trying to redirect its flight path back toward the heroes at the front door!

He manages to get the firework unstuck, then he points it at the heroes and lets it fly!

Valeria's ray freezes one of the timbers above the goblin's head. "Brilliant aim, really. Try aiming at the green thing trying to stab the big one next time." Xel grouses from somewhere behind her.

Gutwad forces himself to his feet, incensed. He growls, then unlimbers a longbow lined with animal teeth along the bowstaff. He barks another order at his goblins before fixing his gaze on the druid who knocked him off his feet.

The goblins redouble their assault...

Inspired by Gutwad's barking, the melee goblins manage to land decisive blows on Gryf and Marten...

...but the goblin with the bow narrowly misses the raging warrior.
