I can go either way, but I did like the map from the first encounter. Depends how much work it is, I guess. Even without a map the grid coords were good.

btw, Hob... I have this image in my head of Kin trying to cdg the bandit.... hilarious! love it. remind me not to get on his bad side and drop unconscious! hehe

Masao: One day I'll get polymorph and then Kin will finally get the respect a great warrior deserves! ;)
So -
Hob is carrying the heavy crossbow, the whittled club, the wand of magic missiles, the crossbow bolt and the red liquid?
Masao is carrying the spellbook?
Given the way Hob burned through three charges on the wand I'm not sure he deserves to keep it, if I'm being honest.
Samant: Should I get Hob to keep Enlarge Person? You've been the target, so is it worth it? Could switch it out for magic weapon or gravity bow...

yeah - I think the only problem was the dice seemed to hate you this fight. 3d6+9(?) damage while raging is pretty attractive if we need to get through DR, too.

So, at this point in our adventure, a post away from 500, I'd like to ask a few question to see how we're doing. I'm just looking for your honest feedback so that I can run this game in the best way possible.
Most importantly, are you enjoying this campaign?
How is the pacing? Is the plot moving too quickly or slowly?
Do you like the direction the game is headed? Would you like to see more exploration, intrigue, social scenarios, or combat?
Do you feel that your character is getting a chance to do what he is good at?
Are there any things about the game or my GM style that you dislike or would change?
Is combat appropriately paced? Does it contribute to the game?
And for fun, which character has the best haircut?
Please feel free to add any other questions or comments here or any time you see fit. Thanks for playing with me. I've had a great time so far.

Most importantly, are you enjoying this campaign?
So far, yup, I'm enjoying myself.
How is the pacing? Is the plot moving too quickly or slowly?
Plot? THere's a plot? lol j/k... it's moving ahead quite fine actually. I would like to see the pace pick up a little, but that has more to do with player posts than your own, and I understand that people have lives and jobs and such, so I am trying to be patient. lol... I'm not known for my patience.
Do you like the direction the game is headed? Would you like to see more exploration, intrigue, social scenarios, or combat?
I think so far we've got plenty of intrigue, and I figure the exploration will come in time as we move through different parts of the scenarios. We haven't really had a lot of opportunity for 'exploration' yet. Combat has been fine, I like your maps, they are simple but they work to establish basic confrontation without being too restrictive.
Do you feel that your character is getting a chance to do what he is good at?
Of course not! What he's good at is something he won't be able to do well for a few levels at least. He's such a noob! lol. I figure he'll get his chances for spell combat and all that stuff in time.
Are there any things about the game or my GM style that you dislike or would change?
Nope so far everything has been fine. Like i said, pacing could pick up, but that's not your issue really, just timing of posts and all.
Is combat appropriately paced? Does it contribute to the game?
Wouldn't be much of a game without some combat now and again. Pacing of combat has been fine. Might want to think about having everyone post their actions then you put them in init order and make them work, yanno... rather than waiting for posts in init order, which can be harder depending on people's post schedules.
And for fun, which character has the best haircut?
Well, in reality (not the avatar), Masao has this whole R-K anime haircut thing going which is pretty awesome but no one can see it. So I guess I have to vote based on avatar. Gotta vote for Arwen then - like the whole flowing hair thing.

I am enjoying the game a lot, thanks :)
I think the pacing is good, though I also think I have gotten hung up on minutiae - not your fault.
I would like a chance in a level (or two) to have a few weeks off to try to build a sword... in my head at the moment the group are normal people fighting wrong and in over their heads. I could see them becoming a sort of robin-hood bandit group over time.
I like the pacings of the fights, especially when there is a map. I think we could probably go a little tougher on the fights - but I guess there is then the risk of TPK.
I'm new to PbP; while in tabletop I love working a plan or a heist, I am starting to see that in PbP that can just take too long.
Best haircut? I think Samant :)

So far I am enjoying this quite a lot myself :) There has been enough everything so far expect exploration but will be fine so far. We are low level in and in game-terms : still noobs and going around our regions so will be fine.
I would like to pick up speed a bit more but that is us players and not the gm :) Just waiting to see what should I write or keep up. Trying as well get on the mind of Arwen with this "Love everyone" or might still change it more into something else in time. Trying to pick up my own posting speed here.
The haircut style eh... hm, would have to (myself) lol. I would say Hob due to that wild wizard style

wb Jacob, hope you had a great holiday weekend!
Just a heads up. Starting Weds I will be on vacation. For a few days at least, I will be driving about 10 hours a day and only able to post very late at night pst. So if you don't hear from me for long periods, that's why.
We will be staying at hotels with wifi, so I will check in as soon as I can after arrival each night.
This sort of schedule is likely to last about 13 days (we return on June 13th, so just giving a heads up -
Jacob, feel free to bot Masao in combat if I don't post quickly enough to keep things moving along.

Oh I will, taking a drive up the coast to SEattle, then a cruise to Alaska. I WILL be checking in and posting daily - just not so often as I do now.

            Hey all,
I've been considering what to do for Hob's next level.
Feat Wise, I'm hoping to take Eldritch Heritage, Craft Wondrous Items and Craft Arms and Armour in upcoming levels.
I know wizards are typically fireball chuckers or save-or-die casters, but I'd like to try to keep Hob away from that. I like having a wizard who goes into melee combat :)
While I want to try to stay Wizard as much as possible, I have been considering a dip to get some armour and weapon proficiences.
The three classes I was looking at were Barbarian, Magus and Alchemist.
I don't want to overlap with people to much, so at the moment I was thinking Alchemist; specifically Grenadier (for the Weapon proficiency) / Vivisectionist (no bombs).
It would be helpful if I could know roughly what you are looking to do with Masao, Samant and Arwen - if only so I can make sure I don't do it too!

            Hey guys,
I am going to be at a con. Starts friday night aus time (about 30 hours from now) and goes for three days.
I'm going to try to keep posting during that time, but I might be a bit more spotty.
Bot me if needed :)
Cheers

            Hey guys
figured beta to talk meta here.
Hob does not want to wait *here*, as that sounds crazy if we are being sold out.
He's more likely to withdraw into the woods, or try to talk old friends around.
Kin can keep an eye on things "in disguise"
I'm pretty flexible on what else to do, happy to go with the group.
By the way, I really like that we *didn't* turn this into a "kill everything, move on" situation. There were some interesting moral questions here, and this feels like a much "better" outcome.
