Hp 60/60 AC 25 (+12 Perc; +4 Init; Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +8)

there is a typo on your part DM on the racial type of each enemy :) With his different Kn can urgosh determine the proper race of the non human one?

Area Description wrote:

slightly built humanoid with no body hair and no eyes looks on

not a typo. You can, however, roll me knowledge: dungeoneering to identify the observer.

Hp 60/60 AC 25 (+12 Perc; +4 Init; Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +8)

Kn Dungeon: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18

Given his appearance, you feel confident that he is an Elan, a member of one of the ruling families of Aeon. I'll be adding an entry to the campaign info tab about Elans probably tomorrow.

EDIT: or right now =P

Male Goblin Sorcerer (Starsoul) 6

Gidgey casts enlarge person on Urgosh again

Come on unexplained size increase by random attacker that came out of no where!

Spell Penetration: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

Gidgey begins casting again in an attempt to expand Urgosh. As his chanting continues, the interrogator will withdraw to the corner of the room and grab the massive greatsword that is sitting there. The observer, on the other hand, will speak the followingto each of your minds: Defenders of Aeon, come forth. I challenge thee to Ul-Kathra. He will then wait for a response.

the observer is readying an action, and the interrogator is withdrawing and picking up his sword. that takes us to Urgosh.

Hp 60/60 AC 25 (+12 Perc; +4 Init; Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +8)

any Kn to know what he is talking about ? Any will save to resist him speaking to my mind ?

You may roll knowledge (local) to identify that term, and his telepathy is a supernatural ability that is just another means of communicating, or a language if you will.

Hp 60/60 AC 25 (+12 Perc; +4 Init; Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +8)

Don't have that one...

I have been tasked to retrieve that Hostage if I want the Orion Syndicate to release mine. So you want a one on one fight with your champion to the death it take it ? replied with a normal voice the grumpy middle age and over weigh hafling placing himself between them and the prisoner

The voice "chuckles" in your mind and then continues:

No, I mean Ul-Kathra, the mind death. Do they still not practice it in Aeon? The rules are fairly simple: you try to kill me with your mind before I kill you with mine. What say you mortal?

Hp 60/60 AC 25 (+12 Perc; +4 Init; Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +8)

I am going to have to decline i am better with that sharp and pointy thing that is called a sword

[dooc]Like urgosh would know how to handle mind Combat... well ready to resume normal round combat as he tries to finish off the guy in front of him[/ooc]

Proceed. =)

Hp 60/60 AC 25 (+12 Perc; +4 Init; Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +8)

Round 2

Judgment: Justice (Swift), Bane (Human)

PA Bastard Sword: 1d20 + 9 - 1 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 9 - 1 + 2 + 2 = 221d10 + 2 + 6 + 2d6 ⇒ (7) + 2 + 6 + (6, 4) = 25 was his answer as he gave and other wack at the interrogator

Current AC 27

As Urgosh swings his blade, it almost does not penetrate the man's armor, sliding off the breastplate until it finds a weaker spot. pushing through, he finds it harder to penetrate then it should be. You now know his AC is 22, and he has DR.

Looks like initiative order is:
Gidgey
Observer
Interrogator
Urgosh
Top of the next round with Gidgey!

Combat Info: Interrogator -40 HP.

Male Goblin Sorcerer (Starsoul) 6

As gidgey finishes casting his spell on Urgosh he shoots out Grease at the interrogator.

Casting Grease (DC 15) on the top right corner of the interrogator, casting Staggering Fall (DC 16) if he falls

Reflex save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24

Sorry about the delay. was looking at submissions for the game plus got slammed at work. looks like he saves. Will have their actions posted shortly.

Hovering off the ground, the interrogator swings his massive blade at Urgosh's head, while the observer turns his sights on Gidgey.

Attack Roll on Urgosh: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22 looks like a miss. In the interest of saving time, i'll go ahead and roll a will save for Gidgey.

Gidgey's will save vs. Ego Whip: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

Ego Whip damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1 Gidgey will take 1 point of charisma damage.

Hp 60/60 AC 25 (+12 Perc; +4 Init; Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +8)

Round 3

The interogator's weapon missed Urgosh and he use that opportunity to counter attack

Judgment: Destruction (Swift), Bane (Human)

PA Great Sword: 1d20 + 9 - 1 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 9 - 1 + 2 = 271d10 + 2 + 2 + 6 + 2d6 ⇒ (6) + 2 + 2 + 6 + (2, 2) = 20

The interrogator staggers from Urgosh's blow but is still undeterred.

updated combat info:
Gidgey -1 cha; interrogator -56 hp. Gidgey is up!

Male Goblin Sorcerer (Starsoul) 6

Gidgey takes a step back and shoots out three missiles at the observer.

Casting magic Missile

Damage: 3d4 + 3 ⇒ (4, 3, 3) + 3 = 13

The observer's eyes flash, and you each smell a smell that reminds you of the first dead creature you ever encountered. His wounds then close. The interrogator continues to attack Urgosh.

Body Adjustment: 1d12 ⇒ 9

Attack roll on Urgosh: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21

Once again, Urgosh's armor absorbs the blow from the massive sword that the interrogator is using.

Urgosh is up!

Hp 60/60 AC 25 (+12 Perc; +4 Init; Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +8)

Round 4

Confident in his superior defense Urgosh went again for a mild attack on the interrogator as he figure he had to do something about the observer real soon

Judgment: Justice (Swift), Bane (Human)

PA Bastard Sword: 1d20 + 9 - 1 + 2 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 9 - 1 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 231d10 + 6 + 2 + 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 6 + 2 + (1, 5) + 2 = 19

Current AC 27

As the interrogator falls under Urgosh's blade, his body explodes dark energy into the immediate area around him. I need a will save Urgosh.

Hp 60/60 AC 25 (+12 Perc; +4 Init; Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +8)

Will: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19

You save and you merely feel "icky", which throws your concentration off (you are effectively sickened for the next minute).

That will take us to Gidgey.

Male Goblin Sorcerer (Starsoul) 6

Gidgey shoots more missiles at the observer

Damage: 3d4 + 3 ⇒ (3, 3, 2) + 3 = 11

oh, quit it! =P

The observer will again turn his attention on Gidgey, which reminds him of the firs time his brothers tortured him.

Go ahead and roll a will save for me Gidgey. On a save vs DC 18, you will take 1/2 of the following charisma damage:

Ego Whip: 1d4 ⇒ 4

Male Goblin Sorcerer (Starsoul) 6

Will: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Gidgey starts crying while yelling at the observer "I'm going to kill you, worthless creature!"

Slowly losing sanity….

Hp 60/60 AC 25 (+12 Perc; +4 Init; Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +8)

if the observer has acted and the interrogator is dead then it should be my turn? :)

It is your turn sir. Forgot to put it in my last post. Apologies.

Hp 60/60 AC 25 (+12 Perc; +4 Init; Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +8)

Round 5

Urgosh gets closer to the observer

Yup its Hammer time !

Judgment: Destruction (Swift), Bane (Elan)

PA Bastard Sword: 1d20 + 9 - 1 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 9 - 1 + 2 + 2 = 231d10 + 6 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2d6 ⇒ (4) + 6 + 2 + 2 + 2 + (3, 2) = 21 as he swing in full strength at him

Current AC 27

Urgosh's blow connects solidly, but it does not seem to have the impact that he expects it to i.e. he has DR.

That will take use to Gidgey.

Male Goblin Sorcerer (Starsoul) 6

"NYAHAHAHAH!" Gidgey screams as more missile shoot out at the observer.

Casting Magic missile with second level spell slot

Damage: 3d4 + 3 ⇒ (4, 1, 3) + 3 = 11

With Gidgey's casting, the observer falls, and silence reigns. What would you like to do now?

Male Goblin Sorcerer (Starsoul) 6

Gidgey runs over to the observers corpse a few times and punches it in the face a few times, while screaming violently. After a few seconds he calms down and walks over to the prisoner to untie him.

As Gidgey approaches the bound and hooded man, he can see that there are some odd looking manacles that are binding him to the chair: Specifically, they appear to be "grown" thorns of crystal that are piercing his skin. After inspecting them for a moment, Gidgey can tell that someone other than the bound person may remove them with a prick of their finger. Once you remove the hood from his head, you see that you have not found Torauk. The man that stands before you is powerfully built, with a freshly shaved head and a crystal eye that replaces the one that was removed in an obviously violent encounter. Standing, he rips a strip of cloth from his tunic top and begins binding his wrists, which are bleeding from multiple small holes. Once he has bound his injuries, he takes stock of your group and says "many thanks for your timely rescue, visitors from the convocation. I'm sure that I'm not the person you're seeking, but if you need help securing them, I shall have some of my soldiers assist in the rescue. You said that your hostage was taken by some criminal enterprise called the Orion Syndicate? Are they a group from within the city or without?"

Hp 60/60 AC 25 (+12 Perc; +4 Init; Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +8)

It is just something i made up says urgosh casting a detect magic

We were told the one we seek was held at the previous warehouse. Was there any other prisoner there with you? why were you a prisoner also and you are you exactly and what makes you think we are from the Convocation

DM:
Urgosh will concentrate on his detect lies (sp) Will DC 15

Male Goblin Sorcerer (Starsoul) 6

Gidgey checks both corpses for anything that looks of value

"I guess you were trying to find me then. I have been moved from warehouse to warehouse, where they were attempting to gain certain information important to the security of the inner council from me. I feel fairly certain they were working for someone else on the inner council, but I have no proof of that. By the way, my name is King Draluk Von'alil, lord of all the Maenads on Maenad isle. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance." he extends his hands in an odd gesture: both hands straight out, palms facing you, before continuing: "I have been their captive for over a year, and I shudder to think what has happened during my absence."

Hp 60/60 AC 25 (+12 Perc; +4 Init; Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +8)

DM:
is he telling the truth as urhosh is using his detect lies (Sp)? Aren't maenad part of Aeon ? He is also using his sense motive (+10) during the conversation

Maenads are indeed part of Aeon. He is basically saying that he's a member of the Aeon ruling council. Make of that what you will. He's also not lying, according to any of the means that you have of detecting falsehoods.

Hp 60/60 AC 25 (+12 Perc; +4 Init; Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +8)

Indeed i have no idea what happened in the inner circle, but it does seem that our boss was sending us to you. Do i have you word you will try nothing funny until you meet with him?

"I would meet with your leader, but I have needs must see to my own affairs first. You have my word that I will not impede you in any way, and the word of Draluk Von'alil is his bond. I wish you well, and hope to meet you again." With that, his eye glows slightly and his outline blurs and leaves rainbow afterimages as he goes running off, leaving a trail of color behind him.

I'm gonna post the wrap up tomorrow. feel free to post your reactions and what-have-you, and then we'll get ramped up for the next mission. I'll also include you getting to the forward observation camp that the new characters are at, and you'll get a chance to interact with each other. Go ahead and level up to 5, and good job!

Hp 60/60 AC 25 (+12 Perc; +4 Init; Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +8)

You see Gadget we only need each other to complete missions, Now that he is gone and i have no idea how he did it lets proceed to the Rendez-vous point.

With his detect magic still active Urgosh will look for interesting thing like secret compartment and papers since gadget has already looted both corps for valuable

Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23

Male Goblin Sorcerer (Starsoul) 6

Oh yeah… What did happen to the others? Well more rewards for us. And good work, you really bashed some skulls in. Gidgey finishes checking the corpses and heads to the door

Exiting the warehouse, you begin making your way out of the city to the rendezvous point with the captain. You can see that the captain and Meera are both there, waiting for you. Greel listens to your report and inquires about where you last saw you companions. With a nod, he sends Meera off to investigate. About an hour later, she returns, visibly sweating. She informs the Captain that there has been no arrest, no capture mention and no bodies listed with the constabulary. "Either they're undercover and will make their way back to us, or we've been compromised. Either way, we need to make it back to one of our camps and I need to report to The Skyreaver. Let's get moving." With that, your group moves out, setting a hard pace back towards the direction of Convocation lands. After about a day and a half of walking straight, Greel begins leading you off the road and towards what appears to be swampland. As you approach, however, you pierce the illusion that protects a portion of the army of the faithful. After each of you provides your credentials, you are led into the camp (which racially appears to onsist mainly of 4 races: Elves, Drow, Minotaurs, and Dwarves) and to the command tent, where you see a group of individuals standing around looking like they have no idea where to be. They perk up at your arrival, and Greel turns to Urgosh and Gidgey and says "These people will be joining our unit. get acquainted, get some chow in you, and go get some rest. We'll be leaving in a few days, but you should take a moment to reflect and work out those details that need to be worked out." He opens the tent flap and then pauses to add "Do try to play nice, all of you." and with that, he disappears into the tent.

The new people can feel free to post discussions of themselves and you can all get the "hey, what do you do" discussion out of the way.

Hp 60/60 AC 25 (+12 Perc; +4 Init; Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +8)

Welcome to our merry little band of irregulars. I am Urgosh and this is Gadget. I provide the muscle, sword and board style while Gadget provides the arcane power. I need to know you skill set and abilities if you please.

Urgosh is a dwarf wielding a bastard sword and his is in regular full plate

Vitals:
HP: 44/44 | AC: 20 T: 10 FF: 19 | Fort: +7, Ref: +6, Will: +3 | Init: +1 Perc: +5 low-light vision, Dark Vision (60 ft) | Effects: none
Abilities:
survive without food/water, sleep for only 2 hours (once attuned again to ring)
Male Ogre Slayer 4

An ogre stepped forward to speak with Urgosh and Gadget. He was clad in a spiked mithral breastplate, he had a lucerne hammer and a greatsword strapped to his back and several chakram hanging from his belt. "I am Shokal, the hunter. I would also be providing muscle as you call it. I work best from the shadows or in the darkness, but I have also learned that one of the best way of stalking your prey, is to move amongst them."

When he said these last words, he activated his hat of disguise to change into the guise of an average Goliath worker.

Disguise: 1d20 + 10 + 10 - 10 - 2 ⇒ (20) + 10 + 10 - 10 - 2 = 28 Not certain if I got the modifiers right, but here's what I got : +10 from skill, +10 from hat of disguise, -10 from trying to be a different size category, -2 from being a different race.

Hp 60/60 AC 25 (+12 Perc; +4 Init; Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +8)

Forward scout and infiltration. Good set of skills. Now do you speak the "common" language of the Humans of Aeon?
