Ardiente takes pause at Raelle's choice of words: horrible and pointless and terrifying. That must have been how she felt this morning. He sobers for a moment as Raelle tears down heroes from their pedastal in his mind... but then it is all forgotten as she compliments him. Well, maybe. She didn't actually say that those things were positive traits... still. "Thank you." he manages to say, trying very hard to keep any colour from his face. This has the effect of making him look ruefully happy, almost guilty.His thoughts are racing a mile a minute as Raelle offers to show him her illusions. "I would like that very much. You've seen me bend after all, it's only fair." he teased gently, munching on his food.

The "angle"'s eyes don't appear all that hungry, least not right now, frustrated, confused, tired oooh so tired, and suspicious but not hungry, and away from me is toward Gini and ace

Ginni shrugged. "Probably some pervert that likes to spy on people. I don't think they're very good at it. There were a number of miscalculations there. You attracted a lot of attention last night so someone might have been trying to bait you into a trap or something."
"Look, since we're talking and all, I just wanted to say something. If it comes to choosing sides between you and Raelle, I'll choose her. She's been my friend longer. It's nothing against you. I can see you're in pain too, and I believe you that you didn't do it on purpose. I thought it was better to just come out and say where my loyalties are."
Dave nods, he doesn't look offended just tired "that's fair, I wouldn't expect it any other way, I just wish it doesn't come to that"
"I think it's likely to be like that for a while. I'm guessing. I haven't actually seen or talked to Raelle since last night. But from what I do know of her, she's going to need space for a while. And that may mean that we have to choose which of you two to hang out with. You'll probably see a very different Raelle from now on, and not just towards you. The way she was acting while you guys were dating was very out of character for her."
"Anyways, I'm not planning on being mean to you, or avoiding you all the time. If you're still in Dom's band we may even run into each other during rehearsals....if I can get past my stage fright."
As their lunch slowly draws to a close, Anahita enters the cafeteria, very focused and intent on the food. Ardiente perks up a little at this, watching as she takes her food back to a seat, apparently not spotting the pair.. or too focused on her food.
Ardiente seems to favour Anahita with more interest than a friend ought... though it isn't outright "interest". More curiosity... and a little bit of confusion. Maybe David was wrong about who Ardiente likes... then again, maybe not.
"I hope I am given a chance to know the true her... You are in Dom's band? That's very cool, I didn't know you played, what instrument?" Pause to get an answer "do you really think that he would actually want me in the band? I mean even if he believes that I didn't know and that it won't happen again, the bad publicity of me being in there..."
Ace stays quiet during the interaction between the little girl and Ginni. After all, he could tell just by looking at her that there was something not right about her. He was also very impressed by his girlfriend and her analysis, as she once more proved how smart she was.
Once the girl runs off, he replies to David's comments first "Its not going to be easy, and of course it still hurts. This all just happened, last night. It does sound like you are on the right path however."
In response to what Ginni says, regarding David and Raelle "Uh, yea. Hmm. I don't know what I'll do, hopefully it doesn't come down to truly having to pick sides. We may not exactly be friends, but you don't seem to be a bad person Dave."
He opts to not yet say anything about how Ginni handled the apparent spy. He can save that for later.

"It's good to see you again, however. I am sorry to keep secrets, but there are two reasons I do, one is personal, the other is a request I will honor for now. Hmmm. I suppose I should finish eating," she looked around and waved at Aridiente, pausing at mid-wave as if seeing him for the first time.

Then waving Ardiente over she adds, "I am glad to be back, I have so much to learn. This will be much easier now."
