Alright, lets clean up the LZ. I'll establish comms, check in, and report that the contact did not meet us on arrival. Lets set up a defensible position within sight of here and get it camouflaged in case the contact is just late, we'll lay low for a little while and see what the situation is. I think we'd have a hard time blending in without a guide, lets hold off on contact with the locals until we can meet our informant.
My understanding is that Dr. Lamner is not expecting us until tomorrow, and that there are 14 other agents in place on the island besides Lamner and the informant who was supposed to meet us here...

Trevor MacAlistair |

"Alright, Sir!
Trevor heads for a part of the Jungle that is close enough to the road to keep an eye on it, looking for a good place to set up camp.
Survival & Wits(should you prefer stealth, the number of dice are the same): 5d10 ⇒ (9, 2, 1, 4, 4) = 20
hoping for the CO to order him to a specific point since he can't see a good hiding place through all these trees
My mistake, I mistook Lamner for our informant

Yes there are other contacts on the island, you have it writen down somewhere but it will take time to check for their names and locations.
Murphy and McAlister find a suitable camping site, its on a small clear patch that is slightl elevated in the jungle

Trevor MacAlistair |

"Bloody Bo*****"
Trevor tries to speed back to camp, not completely giving up stealth but sacrificing some of it for faster movement. Getting there, he gets to Frazier, (if he is there and not the other scout) or to Murphy.
"There is a bloody camera up there! That bloody beach is under surveilance!

Shane Frazier |

Between the camera and their contact not meeting them, we have to assume the worst, "Our informant may have been compromised, our priority now is to secure Dr. Lamner. I'm going to have a look at that camera; MacAlistair, take me to it and watch my back. The rest of you, report this up and prepare to move East. Stay off the road... it's probably under surveillance too.
I want to examine the camera and get an idea of its capabilities (active/passive IR? Thermal?), and follow the wire back. If it is a copper wire, and unless the camera is battery powered, it should only be a few hundred feet long at maximum. If the camera (or whatever is on the other end of the cable) has a data port of any type, I may try to access it with my computer depending on what I judge the risks to be. Let me know if/what I need to roll...

Shane Frazier |

I will try to hack into the box. I want to try to determine whether anyone is currently logged in, whether it is monitored in real-time, and to attempt to erase the recording of our landing. If I determine that we were definitely observed by someone, perhaps by noticing recent replays of that time period, I wouldn't worry about stealth and would simply try to erase the records and cut the fiber. Otherwise I'll try to cover our tracks by replacing the footage of us landing with scenes from just before we landed and altering the timestamps. Let me know if I need to make an extended test...

Shane Frazier |

Shane finishes whatever he was doing with the computer and waves for Trevor to follow him as he goes to catch up to the others. Once we're all together he reports, "Someone definitely saw us land. I wiped the recording but unless we're luckier than we have any right to be, Freeman knows we're here. We need to make good time to Lamner's house so we can move ahead with destroying the bioweapons... the wetwork will have to come later. Let's move!
I think we should go cross-country, moving in a diamond formation. Thoughts?

Shane Frazier |

Is it still night time? Did our contact information for Dr. Lamner include a phone number?
Shane is on the lookout for a vehicle to steal, the team should stick out much less in a car or van than they would on foot...
Wits + Larceny = 7d10 ⇒ (5, 1, 10, 4, 5, 1, 8) = 34 10-again 1d10 ⇒ 8 = 3 successes

Shane Frazier |

"We don't have much of a chance at staying unobserved on foot, especially if there's any activity at Lamner's house. It looks like it's that fellow- Shane gestures toward a local man sitting, eating breakfast by his van, is in for a bit of excitement. We need to grab him and secure him while we borrow his vehicle. Trevor, you're lead on this... try to leave him in one piece."
I didn't detail all the minor details of a tactical loadout; would our standard equipment include zipties/zipcuffs and/or paracord for tying this fellow up?
I figure we'll tie him up and blindfold him in the back of the van. If we find out unambiguously that our presence on the island is known, we can release him when we're done with the van.

Shane Frazier |

wits + composure 6d10 ⇒ (3, 2, 2, 8, 2, 4) = 21 = 1
"What do you mean? I don't see anything... but we need to trust our instincts. If you have a bad feeling about this, we'll find a different place."
Shane will lead the squad a thousand meters or so down the wood line then pause before heading into town. He'll contact their overwatch on the radio and pass up their progress and current position, and request a tie-in to the public phone system to try calling the number we have listed for Lamner.
If he is unreachable then we will go into the town and make for Lamner's house- if another opportunity presents itself to acquire a vehicle then we will do so.

Shane Frazier |

"Good morning señor, I need to talk with you about a problem..."
I'll start the conversation off with whatever recognition phrase or code word was in the dossier we were given. I'm also listing for any sort of duress code word that would indicate that Lamner is not alone or is otherwise in trouble. My concern is to not give away to anyone listening-in that Lamner is voluntarily working with a foreign intelligence service.
If everything checks out and it sounds like Lamner is willing and able to meet with us, I'll tell him that our guide went missing and set up a time and place to meet up.

Shane Frazier |

"I'm calling on behalf of the tourist group that has an appointment with you this afternoon. We've had some trouble hiring a reliable guide; the fellow who was supposed to be showing us around the island never met with us..."
Does "Dr. Lamner" return the recognition phrase? My concerns for this conversation are that I might not be talking to the real Lamner and that his phone might be monitored- that's why I'm taking around the issue. If everything seems OK, I'll suggest a meeting site to him based on our earlier planning and study of the map of the city. It should be somewhere we consider to have plenty of escape routes and can observe from several vantage points.

Shane Frazier |

Sorry for the delay, things got ridiculously busy at work.
"Splendid! We're staying at the _________, I can't wait to meet you. I'm still a little under the weather, and my wife was seasick the whole time we were traveling here. Cheers!
Insert the name of a random hotel in town for ___________
I'm not sure how extensive you'll rule that our library of code phrases can be, but I want to convey that we will be going to him ('under the weather'), and that he should be prepared for trouble ('seasick')
The conversation concluded, Shane will pack up the radio and continue his efforts to find a vehicle to take to the doctor's home. Five soldiers in tactical gear are not subtle, and 'they' already know we are here. He would be willing to risk a home invasion or other unpleasant tactics to secure a vehicle that will not be reported stolen for a few hours.

You may place any code phrases, as long as you say its a code phrace, and keep it the same through out
Dr Lamner hangs up. You all find your selves in an industrial estate close to some poorer residential area. There are a few broken cars and abandoned van in a junk yard about a block away from where you are. Unfortunatly Lamner's house is a fair bit away and would require to go throw the city or make a very large detour to go around
