My apologies, I mixed the name up and thought it was the sight of the start of the campaign where Caldazar and Pollux were running through sewers.
Tal will head out of the cellar as well still waiting to hear what Caldazar and Pollux think about Meraxilar and if he needs to be silenced permanently for the greater good.
TarkXT
You make it out of the door of front-ness +2 to greet the morning sun. Quickly making your way to Tal's home you are greeted by Lily wiht baleful stares as your forced to take a bath before setting your grimy, nasty smelling boots one toe in her home. OR so help her she'll call the dottarri and maybe, just maybe, they'll arrive before she strangles the least bit of life out of you.
Pollux
...
In a whisper to ... Caldazar and ... Pollux on the way, Do you know where Meraxilar usually stays? I ask as he knows too much about us. Originally I thought he was on our side, but clearly the banquet brought him to the side of the 'nobility' here. We need to silence him before he divulges too much about us.
"Oceania has always been at war with Eastasia." Says Pollux nodding grimly.
"Ontheotherhand" pollux says quickly "he did like my coat...and Castor says he tastes better than you do...but he is a rat with suspect opinions.. Oh! A bath! Castor loves searching for things to bite in the water!"

Tal hustles through the streets just in time to arrive at home. Befo he even has a chance to greet his wife she is order him and the rest to take off the filth and grime and wash up. Nodding meekly to her Tal complies as he is too tired to argue.
Once cleaned and freshly c.othed, then he will take his wife's hand and tell her a bit of their exploits. Not much but enought to tell her that they were successful and that he was never in any real danger. He will skip the part about the shadows draining him to a fragment of his strength and the assassin mentioning her. Realy dear the play was worse then the mansion. The food was too rich of my tastes even if they did have a whole roast hog for me. I still prefer your cooking.. Ok Tal is whipped a bit, but hey someone has to be able to control him somehow.
i am thinking we crash for a bit. Figure out what some of this stuff is and how we can best use it. Then tomorrow we make our way to the others to see about the next step.

Caldazar
Once they are liberated from the confines of the mayor's embrace and mostly safely ensconced within Tal's home... Caldazar's intent turns to slumber first.
Assuming he's able to replenish his heart and mind, he sets himself to attempting to fill the gaps of any as yet unknown magic items...
Tal Bernard Mainz
As weariness takes over, all Tal can do is manage to apologize for the mess to Lily and stumble his way to bed with the assurances that Trevor will help clean up anything magically in the morning to set the house back straight again.
After sleeping, Tal rises and eagerly heads to the kitchen to see what Lily has prepared. Although not hungry from the banquet last night he is still looking to fill the void from the fast while he slumbered. Wile eating he looks to see what the others are wanting to do now that they are all rested and recovered. Do we spend another night and go out in the morning? I for one have some purchases to make and that would also give me an excuse to be about town if we have to meet the others.
Trevor Culexis
We can attempt to identify the items we were unable to that we found in the Knot,(ring, axe, sword) plus appraise any of the valuables like the ivory box. Then we can divide the items as needed and then do buying and selling.
Spellcraft axe: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
Spellcraft sword: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Spellcraft ring: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Tal Bernard Mainz
Hopefully between the three of you we will get the axe and sword identified.
Very well, I will hold tight until such time as we deem it feasible to divide the items. Until such time then I will relax and wait for you to let me know what the next step is.
As Tal has no spellcraft or magical means of identifying the items he will simply sit in a chair holding Lily or helping her around the house since he was gone last night and asleep most of the day.

Trevor looks at the items. Well here we are. The healing wands and potions should stay of course, the Haversack will be useful and perhaps Pollux can wear the armor. We can sell off the books and jewelry. Does anyone have any particular claims?
Who usually handles buying and selling?
Caldazar
Generally we've just sold for half value and used the gold... well I would've said that... if we'd ever really had any items worth selling or gold worth spending...
Caldazar will keep his morningstar +1, assuming that Tal's happy with his better weaponry.
Apart from that (and a note we should keep all the useful potions and scrolls) not much else for me.
Trevor Culexis
List of things we will definitely be keeping
potion of lesser restoration,
a potion of remove disease
Potion of Invisibility
Potion of Gaseus Form
Potion of Cure Moderate wounds
a scroll of dispel magic
a scroll of remove curse
scroll of contagion (CL 9th)
wand of cure serious wounds (18 charges)

The spellbook if Pollux wants it

If this is okay with everyone, just tally the remainign stuff up and divvy the gold.
Pollux
Pollux would like them no doubt, plus nothing wrong with making undead kneel before you so you can smash their heads in.
Neither is on my list though that will cease to matter at 7th level when Castor learns to read. {i.e. taking advanced familiar: ratling} Need to find a way to raise the wee beasties int though.

I added the values to the items known but left off the consumables. Need appraise checks for the jewelry and confirmation on the ring price but if it is correct then sell value of gear thus far including what Tal picked up from Meraxilar is 38400.52. Divided 4 ways this is 9600.13 of sell value for each person. If Tal claims the sword and scarab only 5057.5 comes from his share. This would leave me with effectively 4542.63gp left after the spiit. Te consumable items go to those that can use them best. Once we on know the jewelry we can add them in to the split. Sound like a plan?
Any of the casters thinking about taking any crafting feats?
Also of note is this ruby red glaive that doesn't like Tal might need to be identified as well before we carry it around too much longer.
Tal Bernard Mainz
When talk turns to discussing the items found and our success at th manor tal asks,Do we show the cursed paper to the oathfinder to see if she has an answer? If she doesn't have an answer but looks at it we are freed from the curse. If she does have an answer then we are free from it that way as well. Put it in a sack with the box from the manor and give it all to her?
Trevor Culexis
Uh no. That is not a thing to be done. I am not well acquainted with her but siccing a devil on her is not something she deserves. We have a scroll of Remove Curse that might work and then we can safely dispose of it. if we do pass it to someone, let it be someone who has shown a evil heart. I did suggest slipping it into the pocket of any of the guests who were jumping with glee at the murderplay.
Tal Bernard Mainz
Oh ok then, well we will just save it for someone else then.
Pollux

{I am thinking scribe scroll to help power the ratling. Having what is effectively an extra standard action, only useable to cast from scrolls, is pretty sweet. Admittedly until I raise Castor's Int only 1st and 2nd level spells need apply but spell-list and arcane/divine restrictions do not apply. So I think a scroll carrier is in Pollux's future. Any suggestions for first and second level spells to focus on?}
Tal Bernard Mainz
Will have to look at the spells since there is no arcane/divine restriction. Off the top of my head fox's cunning will raise his int so you can cast the higher level scrolls at least.
Tal Bernard Mainz
By the way Caldazar, if there is a suit of full plate armor that Tal can purchase now are you interested in his breastplate? I believe Trevor can even make it MW with a new spell now. I will sell it to you for the sell price of 100gp?
Tark, what does Tal need to do to get some full plate with armor spikes or can he just purchase it no problem if he has the coin? I am assuming doing a day of shopping before we see the Children.
Tal Bernard Mainz
Perfect, will get a shopping list up then tomorrow with for the remainder of my gp. Thanks Tark.
Tal Bernard Mainz
Fight fire with fire Trevor. That way if they try to disarm me I still have a weapon available. Will do Caldaza, I just wanted to give you a chance first before I sold it as I thought inquisitors could at least wear medium armors.
Pollux
question for the group.. At this level spells start to become viable alternatives to hexes or at least begin to become viable adjuncts to them, save-or-lose spells in particular. What are your thoughts on this class of spells? Attack patterns like Evil Eye (saves), Misfortune, then Blindness or Hold person can make combats end rather quickly. (EE:saves, Misfortune, Touch of combustion will take longer but be more entertaining. Esp w/ Marshmallows)
I normally avoid Save-or-(suck/lose/die) spells as baddies have a bad habit of making saves but the Witch is designed to spike saves allowing these combat ending spells to function more reliably.
Your thoughts? Would you consider this be short circuiting your enjoyment of the game?
Tal Bernard Mainz
Same here Pollux. Have your fun while you can. I am sure that we will all have our moments to shine. Besides there are always mooks and goons to worry about. Plus Tal will, still have to protect your rear until you get the save or suck spell off.
Tal Bernard Mainz
Pollux, I went through the core book and for first level scrolls to have on hand for utility reason I thought of these...
Endure elements, bless, identify, protection from evil, comprehend languages (this way he can understand what Tal is saying to him finally), grease to prevent being grappled, fairie fire for invisible creatures, and possibly enlarge of reduce person if you want to spend the extra rounds csting them.
Although Tal wants to make some nice new purchases for himself to equip himself for the future needs for the liberation of Westcrown, he does not know what exactly will be needed. Instead he makes an investment of spiked MW full plate armor. The rest of the coin he holds onto outside of 200 gp worth of misc. items for his wife...perfume, new clothing/fabrics, jewelry, and other minor luxuries she may want for around the house. Tal will set aside 240 gp as well for living expenses for the next year.
1600 for the armor after selling breastplate
200 for lily
240 years living expenses
MW thieves tools
2190 spent of 5057.5
2867.5 left over
Pollux
Pollux would like the crown if no one is claiming it. Though I think Cal's ranged touch bonus beats mine.
Purchases
240 living expenses
2000 Gloves of reconnaissance
3000 lesser metamagic rod of reach
4000 headband of vast intelligence +2 (which skill oh sharp mandibled overlord?)
450gp three second level witch scrolls TBD
----------
9690gp spent 264gp remaining.}
Studying the odd toy with Trevor.
"Is it a box? Is it covered in locks?"
"No Castor you ate all the salmon. You remember, it was green."
Tal Bernard Mainz
Nice purchases Pollux. I like those gloves and the rod.
Indeed, we shall have to bring it with us and see what we are told about it. If we are done here I would like to bring it away from Lily as soon as possible.
Tal Bernard Mainz
Ready to get the curse and the item out of Lily's house so they cause a mess on her recently magically cleaned floors thanks to Trevor. A of the curse we will cross that bridge when the time comes I guess unless we find the perfect candidate for it like another Thesing.
