Okay it looks like Darius is leading everyone to the cantina without opposition. We will move on then.
You guys arrive at the cantina. For a city under siege the rebels don't seem to worried as there are a good number of them here living it up.
You see several people coming in and out of the place and you can hear music and general marry making going on inside. The guard around here seems quite lax.
What's your next move.
Arana Niss
Before the group approaches the cantina, Arana muses "I'm sure I could 'lure' a few of them, you know, the old fashioned way, but I think there's too many to try my 'trick' on ."
Once they arrive, she observes the personnel .
Perception 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Knowledge (Tactics] 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Trooper A-337, "Janitor"
Janitor looks around, checking for anything worth noticing, and runs everything through his mind, setting plans.
Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16
Knowledge (tactics): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20
Shanosuke
To save a lot of time, collectively you all cook up a plan. I apologize for the rush but it is a fairly simple plan.
The area around the cantina is surprisingly not well lit and there are a good number of dark spots between here and the base. The rebel pilots are going back and forth in groups ranging from as many as six to as few as two.
Night is fast approaching and it will be dark within the hour. Without enough searchlights in this area, you could easily ambush small groups of rebel pilots from dark places.
To be successful you would have to strike quickly and quietly. Best to have all of you attack the smallest groups possible and just collect uniforms a little at a time. To strike a large group would draw to much attention to the attacks.
There are plenty of shadowy areas from which to launch an ambush between here and the hanger.
Just let me know when you would like to launch the ambushes. Be sure that you are ready before you do.
Karval de Longinous
"WE should act straight away, time is of the essence - especially with the air-strikes." Karval says, putting in his dour 2 creds worth; "With twilight starting to fall, it'd be good to grab everyone before full dark - even if we are exposed more than comfortable. People can get jumpy at night."
Shanosuke
I suppose your ready. Let's begin.
You guys stake out at one of the spots where you can ambush and not draw too much attention. There is also a female with them.
You wait for your prey and it isn't long before a group of three rebel pilots are alone. They have their flightsuits and helmets in possession and there is no one else around who would see it if they were attacked.
The only thing is, you would have to subdue all three of them or risk alerting others to this spot.
Do you wish to attack them now or wait for a smaller group.
Trooper A-337, "Janitor"
Janitor looks to the others and nods. "I think we have this, Commander."
Assuming no objections...
Janitor waits for the most prime moment to strike and then steps out, firing a stun blast at the nearest rebel.
Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Shanosuke
The Two stuns that hit successfully stun the two of the pilots. The third appears to freak out and Darius moves to tackle.
Darius has the third pilot successfully tackled. You need to subdue him in no less that a single round or he will alert the nearest enemy.
Your sight gives you the heads up that another group of rebels, three, have notice the blue flashes of the stun shots. They are moving to investigate. They will be here in three rounds.
Karval de Longinous
Karval moves forward and fires his pistol at the third man, aiming to stun them.
Pistol DL17: 1d20 + 9 - 4 ⇒ (15) + 9 - 4 = 20 (for firing into the grapple?) DC15 Fort save for the pilot.
"Drag the other pilots into the shadows." he says in a low tone, hoping that the depths can conceal the unconscious figures from the 'company'. 'Maybe it's another pilot or 2 and we can be in luck for once.'
Darius Lucien
Darius attempts to stand the pilot up, while facing him towards the others in an effort to open up a better line of fire to stun him. If the pilot is successfully stunned, he drags him away with the others while trying to choke him to death in a headlock.
Trooper A-337, "Janitor"
If the the stun doesn't work, Janitor cracks the pilot upside the head with his own weapon.
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20
Damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
He then quickly drags the bodies to the shadows.
Trooper A-337, "Janitor"
Knowing the situation is quickly getting out of hand, Janitor draws the knife from his harness and plunges it into the man's throat, angling the blade upwards so any blood sprays down the pilot's own body and not on the helmet.
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
Damage: 1d4 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Shanosuke
Really? Your stabbing him with that much detail? You will hit but not the throat. Your attack combined the non lethal is enough to cause him to pass out unconscious.
You all drag the body's to a dark alley and need to make hurried stealth checks. You have the cover of twilight and shadows giving you an advantage.
You guys will have to forgive me on any rule issues from this point on. I am currently in four Edge of the Empire campaigns, so those rules are strongly on the brain right now
Darius Lucien
I actually thought of pulling a vibrodagger to try a critical stab as wel before I read your postl.
Watching Janitor, Darius thinks I was about to do that.
Darius tries to move to bodies to the alley with as little noise as possible.
Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
There is no ACP in that roll. Please subtract the appropriate amount if there is ACP.
Trooper A-337, "Janitor"
Sorry, was that a problem? Janitor's done covert ops like this before, and I didn't think it would be an issue. If you'd rather I not do things like that, it's fine, just let me know.
Karval de Longinous
Karval had seen enough blood and violence that he just nods at Janitor, it may not have been what he'd have done - but it was efficient. He moves back dragging the last of the bodies into the shadows.
Stealth: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
He glances around for any 'dumpsters' or receptacles to put the pilots in, once they are bound and gagged.
Shanosuke
Okay, I need each of you to make your Stealth checks again. This time using the new rules. Ask any questions in Discussion thread. Time to get this game running again.
Now, you need to roll your stealth rolls + 1 additional Blue die (D6). The Difficulty will be 1 D8 and 1 D12
Roll your checks, figure out your results and narrate what happened.
Keep and mind that if your successes outnumber your failures, you have successfully hidden. However, threats and despairs are used by me later.
Now let me see your results.
Zaleos Buerlon
Gee I guess I am first here...Please forgive the formatting here.
Stealth (Ability): 1d8 ⇒ 5 Advantage
Stealth (Proficiency): 2d12 ⇒ (11, 1) = 12 Advantage x2, Blank
Zaelos moves as quietly as he can trying to make sure the rest of the group is not spotted by the approaching Rebels. He is able to point out a couple of ideal spots for the bodies to be stowed out of sight.
Total 3 advantages: Add a Boost die to the next two character's Stealth checks.
