Karval de Longinous
Here, just had a hectic week!
"Zaleos, you have learn all you can from that holocron thingy?" he asks with little understanding. "If you or the Lady Arana wish to use the light-sabre, I can give you a few tutorials in swordsmanship! Of course that blade is obvious, but in a fight might give us an edge."
"What's the best way to get to the Malakai? Walking? Taking the ship or Tank? Should we look to the nearby life-forms on the scanner?" he wonders.
Zaleos Buerlon
Zaelos shakes his head at Karval. "Karval, I do not think you understand the sheer amount of knowledge locked inside this small package.! It will take days...weeks to unlock the secrets it holds!" He takes a calming breath before he responds to the second question. "I recommend we take the tank as close as we can get to the mountain range, and then we will have to walk the rest of the way." The last part said with a noticeable lack of enthusiasm. "We should try to find the Malaki before we approach their camp, but I suspect they will find us first." He finishes wryly.
Knowledge (Jedi Lore) for info on the holocron. 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

"Then let's get a move on," Janitor says. He glances around for a moment, then returns the front of his helmet to the group, though his gaze still may be darting. "No reason to stay, and this place is a potential death-trap. Believe me... I know."
Karval de Longinous
"Really? It contains that much information, that is very good then." there is a hint of being impressed to his voice, which for him is effusive.
Karval gets into the driving seat; "Janitor, you can drive next time. Do you want to get in shotgun? And help with the navigation?"
Once everyone is aboard (the droids staying back?) the vehicle will set off towards the mountains.
Pilot (if required): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
Trooper A-337, "Janitor"
"Sure," the dark trooper says, getting into the front passenger of the tank. "I know my way around these, though I wouldn't say I'm any expert."
Janitor keeps a lookout for threats as he helps navigate for Karval.
Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20

The tank has room for a pilot, co-pilot, and, and a gunner. The rest have to ride on the hull of the tank. You ride along the open landscape of Malakai heading Northeast passing only ruins of villages.
You also catch a glimpse of one of the planets more dangerous predators. A huge four legged hairless cat monster can be seen in the distance. Thanks to Zaleos, you avoid many predators.
You travel for the whole day passing no civilization along the way. You have to stop for the day. You need to consume rations and water and decide how you will spend the night.

GM is feeling Malicious today
While out foraging for food you wander too close to the nearby woods. You stubble on a small harry creature. You startle it and it begins to whine loudly. You hear a roar from not far off and the sound of thunderous stopping heading straight for you. What do you do? Whatever is coming, it sounds huge and pissed.
The rest of you hear some loud roaring not far off.
Nichos has acquired food for himself and one other and Arana can feed her self. Two others still need food.

Climb 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Once he climbs up the tree and reaches a safe perch, he reaches for his comlink....
The rest of the party hears their comlinks crackle to life: "Team, I have a...slight problem here."
Nichos
Nichos draws his rifle as he moves toward the noise stealthily, using whatever cover offers itself to the best of his ability. As the comlink crackles to life, he responds quietly and drily, "You do know that being bait for supper is not something you want to typically volunteer for, don't you?"
Stealth 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15
Perception 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
Trooper A-337, "Janitor"
Janitor also rushes off with Karval, thoughts of old missions when team members are in trouble rushing through his head. Surprise is all well and good, but getting the drop on the foe doesn't matter if the man you want to save is dead already.

Okies, been really busy the last two days. I had hoped to get a post up yesterday but life happens.
You find a tree and begin to scramble up it. It takes two rounds to get up it before an angry beast comes crashing through the foliage. The hair, huge tusked monster collides with the tree. Whatever it is, teeth and claws suggests it is a predator. Not the best kind of creature to piss off. Its collision shakes the tree violently. You need to make a reflex save DC 10. If you fail, you fall......to your death....most likely. You don't want to fail.
The rest of you move. With the noise it is easy to follow. It will take five rounds for you to reach him double moving through difficult terrain.
If Zaleos makes his save, we will begin combat.
Zaleos Buerlon
Zaelos' opinion of this place just dropped a few notches even as he hangs on for dear life. Once he has steadied himself, he draws his own blaster. Seeing as it will do little more than enrage the beast if he fired at it, he decides to use it a bit creatively.
If the creature decides to climb up after him, Zaelos will shoot the branches around the creature so it cannot gain purchase on them.
Shanosuke
The Monster stands 15 feet, on all fours, a big head with huge tusks and teeth. The monster begins to brush away branches within reach. It seems to be clearing the tree for something malicious. You get a turn if you wish to take it.
The rest of you are making progress, four rounds left.

Round 2 attack #2 multifire 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0; Damage 3d8 ⇒ (8, 6, 2) = 16
.
My...god...Zaelos has got to be the unluckiest character I have ever played...can I getz some DSP?
Shanosuke
Your scores have made me want to cry on more than one occasion.
The roaring of the monster and the shaking of the tree cause your shots to go wide. Round three you may shoot again as it begins to climb. Round 4 it will attempt to bite you. And just miss. You get two more rounds of action and your allies show.
The rest of arrive to see a huge monster trying to pick Zaleos out of a tree. It looks like a cross between a boar, a wild cat, and a wolf, only huge size. It is close to getting Zaleos. Time to take this beast down.
Zaleos Buerlon
Zaelos continues firing as if his life depended on it.
Round 3 attack #1 multifire 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (15) - 1 = 14; Damage 3d8 ⇒ (7, 7, 2) = 16
Round 3 attack #2 multifire 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (7) - 1 = 6; Damage 3d8 ⇒ (1, 1, 4) = 6

Karval moves forward; his eyes scanning then he sees Zaleos precarious position. Pistol to hand his other draws the length of a vibro-blade, then he sights the monstrosity and pulls the trigger.
A bolt flies towards the creature as he leaps over the scrub.
Attack 1: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Damage: 3d8 ⇒ (4, 8, 8) = 20
Move: Closer to the creature & draw vibro-blade
Trooper A-337, "Janitor"
Janitor leaps over some final brush to witness the scene. Barely pausing, he whips up his carbine and starts blasting, aiming for the center of mass as he moves forward.
Carbine shot: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
Damage: 3d8 + 4 ⇒ (7, 1, 2) + 4 = 14
Move action toward the beast

A volley of shots from the party at the great beast and none hit. So many bad rolls, ugh. And Zaleos, why is you gun ability, technically a requirement by this game's standards, in the negatives?
Moving on. The beast seems to be unaware of the party as not of you caught its attention and it proceeds to attack Zaleos. It scores a hit with one of its claws doing 29 vitality to the blind man. Zaleos needs to make another DC 10 reflex save or fall.
Just so you guys are aware, there is great reward for defeating this thing. I am not so mean as simply to toss it in out of spite.
EDIT: BTW Its your turns now.
Zaleos Buerlon
HEY... YOU try firing a blaster with a steady hand whilst being chased by a hungry Rancor! Not sure what excuse everyone else has, he he.
Zaelos screams in pain as he is brutally mauled. The rest of you watch his unconscious body tumble out of the tree and crash into the ground.
Zaelos is at -4 Wound. Fort save DC 9 to avoid being knocked out, 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 FAIL!
Since he is unconscious, he automatically falls to the ground.
Shanosuke, I could not find rules in the core book for falling damage, so let me know how much damage he took from the fall. If it is 8 points or more then he is dead.
.
WOW...brutal. Hope this reward is a good one....
Nichos
Falling damage, I would guess would be around 1d6/10 ft.
Nichos frowns as his ally falls out of the tree, and tries to draw the creature's attention long enough for one of the closer guys to tend to his fallen comrade.
attack 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
damage 3d8 + 2 ⇒ (4, 6, 6) + 2 = 18

The world turns red before his eyes, another comrade falls... His legs pound as he runs forwards towards the monstrousity his hand flicks to his belt. With a thud his sword embeds in the ground where he drops it, nimble fingers depress the button and a medipack slips into his hand.
Pistol-sights firmly set upon the beast, the body-guard rushes to Zaleos' broken body. Crouching down presses the needles into the skin administering the vital fluids....Karvals thoughts desperate for his friend.
Move: To Zaleos, can I quick draw a medical-pack?
Standard: Use Medical Kit Treat Injury: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24 - to stabilise TN15, Unfortunately the Medi-pack is a full-round action or I would use that instead (could I use a Force-point to be able to do that? - healing 1d2 wounds).
Trooper A-337, "Janitor"
Janitor winces inside his helmet as the man falls to the ground. He continues on, firing again, this time calling, "Over here, you overgrown womp rat!" to the beast.
Carbine attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
Damage: 3d8 + 4 ⇒ (4, 6, 6) + 4 = 20
