TKarra looks around stunned her hands hanging limply and she says I have attacked a superior officer and attempted genocide. Logically you must arrest me and detain me in the brig. I will not resist.

In order to avoid a lengthy explanation, I'm going to assume that Reeves heard Kerensky's explanation and saw the T'Karra beam-out as he was regaining consciousness, so that he knows what's happening.

Coming to, the Captain looks around him. "Must destroy the station," he croaks, standing unsteadily and rubbing his shoulder.

With growing steadiness, he says, "Kerensky, access the structural files on this station. There must be some way to use the power of the black hole's jet against it, or to drive it into the singularity. No one must ever be allowed to have this weapon."

Tapping his communicator, he says "Valiant, this is Reeves. Do you have Commander T'Karra? And can you locate the people who beamed over? If so, take them too."

"Valiant, we're going to destroy this station. Do not wait for us. That is an order. Get the ship to a safe distance. We'll take Archimedes if we can. Reeves out."

He moves to the nearest station and begins to look for ways to destroy the station.

Adding a for Determination and another for his Value "The Needs of the Many."

Control+Engineering (14): 4d20 ⇒ (8, 18, 14, 12) = 52

Male Lt. Junior Grade. Stress 12/18

Kerensky does his best to assist the Captain. Destroying the structure had to be done. If the Klingons, Romulans or Gorn got their hands on it... or as he had just witnessed one confused Starfleet Officer the results could be truly horrifying.

Reason+Engineering 9: 2d20 ⇒ (6, 12) = 18

The station's outer Neutronium shell should be highly unstable. While neutronium can be configured into specific geometries that allow it to remain stable, in this case the station uses a powerful energy field to stabilize and support it. You could destroy the station by turning off the power to that energy field and letting it collapse.

Control+Engineering Difficulty 4

Or use the graviton beam emitters on the station itself to compromise the structural integrity of the station. Daring+Security or Control+Engineering Difficulty 4

Alternately, you could reverse the graviton emitters and use them to drive the station into the singularity. Daring+Conn Difficulty 5

Probably there are other ideas for using the station systems to destroy it, and other combinations of Attributes+Disciplines. Those are just what I came up with based on what the scenario says.

Well, mechanically I'm best off with the Control+Engineering solution, but I like the solution that removes even a chance of recovering this solution, so driving it into the Singularity it is!

I'll wait to hear from Valiant.

can I use my remote control ffrom the ship to do what the captain is doing and bring the captain and kerensky on board from the transporter room where I am?

Two security officers take charge of T'Karra and lead her out of the transporter room and down the corridors of the ship toward the brig. Each of them holds a drawn type 2 phaser.

T'Karra, you can certainly try. One problem you would be aware of would be that the tri-corder can't broadcast all the way to the station, so you would need to tie it into the ship's systems somehow. There might be other problems you aren't aware of that you would have to overcome.

Grand Lodge

Female Drow Ninja 6th level Max HP 34, AC

gentleman if I can tie the tricorder I have to the engineering I may be able to save the captains life. Please call commander Kreskin and ask him to allow me to remotely attempt it.

Sorry, I'm confused. I think I'm waiting to see what direction Kerensky and Reeves were going to do.

One of the security men moves to a wall panel while the other keeps his phaser trained on T'Karra.

"Bridge, Ensign Rogers, here. Commander T'Karra is asking to be taken to engineering to do something to try to save the Captain. What are your orders..."

I don't know how I missed that. I apologize. Kerenski and Reeves adjust the graviton emitters to draw the station toward the singularity.

The transporter is unable to lock on to the Ithink who have beamed aboard. Something is interfering with detecting them. The station begins to move toward the black hole. Reeves locks in the pull of the graviton beam. The station might move slowly, but it will be pulled toward the singularity.

If Reeves and Kerensky want to survive the collision with the singularity, they should probably run out of the station toward their shuttle. This requires two Tasks based on Daring or Fitness to overcome collapsing collumns, rubble, etc. You can use whatever Disciplin you can justify. Difficulty is 2. You can Succeed at Cost.

As he leaves the Command center, Reeves phasers the doorway, trying to make it difficult for anyone to return to the command center and stop the station's destruction.

"Run!" he says to Kerensky, and follows close behind.

A fallen beam threatens to cut him off and he strains to move it out of the way: Fitness+Engineering (13): 2d20 ⇒ (7, 13) = 20

Reeves encounters a pit created by a fallen floor and takes a running leap over it, barely catching the far edge and pulling himself up. Daring+Security (12): 2d20 ⇒ (14, 9) = 23

Male Lt. Junior Grade. Stress 12/18

As they go through the station the corridor they originally passed through at one point is now clogged with debris. Kerensky tries to find a swift new route to bypass the hazard.
Fitness+Conn (15): 2d20 ⇒ (1, 10) = 11

Like his captain Kerensky finds it almost impossible to cleanly make the jump onto the other side of the pit.
Fitness+Security (15): 2d20 ⇒ (17, 13) = 30

Reeves' 14 and 9 aren't enough to overcome the Difficulty 2. Since he can Succeed at Cost (I mean, we don't want to lose the Captain into a pit), he gains a Complication.

Reeves crashes into the side of the pit, cracking a rib or two. Future Fitness Tasks are at +1 Difficulty and Reeves gains the Trait: Broken Ribs, which could affect him in a fistfight or something.

Kerensky catches himself on the edge of the pit, but as he grasps at the edge, his phaser is knocked from its holster and falls into the abyss.

The station groans in a low, palpable thrumming as it accelerates at a pace much higher than intended.

Kerensky and Reeves limp into the hangar to find two of the cat-eyed Ithik, implants now glowing faintly against their dark skin.

The two aliens are working at the small control station. They look up at you, startled.

"Ah, it is the Star Fleets. They must be moving the station. Star Fleets, you must stop the station. It must not flow into the Dark Eye."

Male Lt. Junior Grade. Stress 12/18

Kerensky moves closer "Explain yourselves, what do you know about this place?" He keeps his hands raised in a non aggressive manner but ready to react to any violence, without his phaser he relies on closing the ground before considering combat.

Trying not to show the pain in his side, Reeves points his phaser at the Ithik. "I don't think so. This is too much power for anyone to be trusted with. Back away from the controls, gentlemen and we'll take you with us when we go."

In a lower voice, he says "Kerensky, get Archimedes ready to lift off."

The Ithik not working at the console moves toward Reeves. "I'm afraid, Captain, that I cannot comply with this request. The First tell us that the station must be preserved. Because you seek to destroy it, I must destroy you."

Daring+Security (12): 2d20 ⇒ (1, 6) = 7 Nice!

Male Lt. Junior Grade. Stress 12/18

Kerensky turns to his Captain surprised at the accuracy, he had been about to tackle the man but the Captain seemed to have the situation under control. He darted towards the Archimedes to get it ready.

Control+Conn 13. Focus Small Craft: 2d20 ⇒ (3, 9) = 12Three successes

It's actually Control+Security for ranged attacks, and Daring+Security for Melee. Doesn't matter with what you rolled. Reeves could use a minor action with the phaser to Charge the phaser attack (adjusting spread and intensity) to choose Area, Intense, Piercing, or Vicious. I'm going to go with Vicious, which inflicts 1 extra damage per effect rolled.

Damage Dice: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 6) = 18 So that is 3 from the 6 and 3 from Vicious Effects

The phaser beam lances between the captain and the Ithik. The Ithik's black dermal implants glow with the energy from the phaser, seemingly absorbing the phaser energy.

The Ithik have Resistance 2 to energy effects, so the damage is reduced from 6 to 4, doing 4 stress to the Ithik.

Whoops, that attack generated 1 Momentum, so let's add that to the damage.

Momentum damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1 1 more, so 5 Stress total to the Ithik. That is enough to cause an Injury. Since we are in the endgame here, I'm going to spend 2 Threat to negate that Injury.

Momentum 11, Threat 3

The Ithik advances on Reeves. Closing to Reach

attack: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 3) = 12 Spending 1 Threat

That's 3 successes for me. I'm going to let Reeves roll his own opposed check. You have a lot of Momentum, so you may want to use it and I don't want to cheat you out of that.

Momentum 11 Threat 2

Books all still in boxes and not familiar enough with the system to know what to do here. Please sanity check.

Daring+Security, with Momentum (12): 3d20 ⇒ (7, 14, 1) = 22

That's just right. You generate 3 successes, which ties his check. Since his is attempting the Task, a tie means he wins. He rolls damage equal to his Security, so 3.

Effect dice damage: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 3) = 10Wow. Literally nothing.

Despite his aggression, the Ithik lacks the combat finesse to make his blows pay off.

The other Ithik continues to attempt to operate the control panel.

Reeves is now in Reach with the Ithik. He can still make ranged attacks, but the difficulty goes from 2 to 3. If he wants to make a melee attack, he can use Daring and Security, Difficulty 2.

Of course, other people can do stuff too.

I am currently detained in a hallway with two security goons on my way to the brig. I want to take my tricorder which I married to the system and use it on the station and bring the captain and crew back safe

I think the security goons were waiting on approval from the Commander, who is having RL problems. Probably safe to assume that that approval is given.

Kerensky fires up the systems on the shuttle. Given the hazards of the situation, he had left it in standby rather than completely shutting down, so the systems awaken quickly.

Shuttle is ready to go.

Male Lt. Junior Grade. Stress 12/18

We've seen on the shows that there are emergency survival kits on shuttles in some eras... any chance of a hand phaser of some kind being amongst those?

Essentially what you are doing is buying off the Complication from earlier that caused you to lose the phaser. That is entirely reasonable. You just spend 2 Momentum.

Words having failed him, Reeves moves to attack the Ithik in the traditional Starfleet captain manner, with flying kicks and two-handed judo chops to the neck. And presumably some very anxious horn music.

Daring+Security (12): 2d20 ⇒ (10, 9) = 19

Maybe this?

Daring+Security: 2d20 ⇒ (12, 14) = 26

That's a failure for the Ithik, so you do damage.

Damage Effect Dice as security: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 1) = 5
