Lt. Martine Landen |
Martine looked at the MSD, calling up the ship's gravitic field. "I'm seeing it, too, Sir," she told Rai. "...I just thought of something. We can reroute some power from the gravitic compensator into the shield systems. It'll take some of the pressure off us in case the gravitic field spikes again."
And meanwhile, I'll run a systems check; if that saboteur hit there, other ship systems might have been compromised, too.
Star Trek GM 2 |
Rai considers options for long moments and then makes momentous choices he starts by entering the computer using his command code along with Commander Veridan's which he gets from Geomological and he resets all command codes promptly changing all security access and encrypting in his home language of Caitian using random octahexagon algorithms which he then records on his person secure log book and then promptly removes from the computer hiding them in the physics archives. He then changes all communication frequencies swiftly from standard starfleet to other secure network channels. Finally he has each chief officer hand delivered a new com badge which will monitor the starfleet channels as well as their new channel and then after the time it takes to do this reroute himself calls all chief of staff to a secret meeting in botanical bay three which he orders be empty during the time of meeting sending the message encrypted tp eah chief that they not be followed and that any use of their old command codes will sound a silent alarm on my communicator, finally ordering Geo and linguistics to send all files to him encrypted and then scrub them clean telling no one and adding those to his repair and damages personnel log not connected to the computer
They send it you know at once what your looking at, it's a command level system program for a Starfleet ship, it's even has star feet comments. But what the hell is it doing hidden on labels of blood wine.
hint your not the only one looking at chunks of its code at this moment
Rai Zon |
Sir the command codes of officers is compromised, yoyr personal code has been used in compromising the system, I have set new codes and scrubbed the system and have set a meeting of all command staff to ensure security and meet and discuss findings
also I am trusting that you are not the saboteur in having this discussiion with you instead of having you placed in a security cell
Veradiran |
"That would be a bad assumption, even if it's true." Veradiran states, sounding annoyed, although the annoyance seems to be with the situation, not Ltn. Zon. "However, given the choice is locking up me and the command staff, or going with the assumption, the alternative is worse. Lesser of two evils, as the humans put it." He pauses. "I believe we may have to consider the option of shutting down the computer, and reloading from fixed media. That will take several hours to bring the ship back up, and several days to reload the auxiliary systems, but it would clear any and all malicious code introduced into the system, unless someone managed to load it onto the computer's read-only core prior to installation. I believe we need the Engineer's and Captain's thoughts on that."
Rai Zon |
Since he sent the time for the meeting with the comms and the location Rai works until a few minutes prior and then goes to the armory and checks out a phaser setting it to stun and makes his way to botany lab three
Veradiran |
Veradiran stops by his quarters, picks up a long tube like case made of high impact plastic, and a small pack filled with items, and then heads to botony lab three.
Gas mask, high-precision electronics tools, two daggers, an old fashioned pistol, a personal phaser, a backup personal wrist-padd, and in the plastic tube, a laser etched katana.
Lt. John Holder |
Digging through what seems like the hundredth Jeffrey's Tube, Lt. Holder finally crawls out onto the proper deck. "Great first day, the ship hasn't even left port and it's falling apart.
Rising to his feet and dusting himself off, Lt. Holder presses the keypad on the Captain's ready room. Signalling for permission to enter.
Captain Sanron Cahr |

As you get to the door you note something is wrong, the power is off around the door. You prize it open to find the face down in a pool of blood. His ready room and rooms have been ran sacked.
He has been hit on the side of the head hard.
He has been hit with one of a tool of some kind, looks like use to repair replcators
time could not have been long after.
Rai Zon |
Feels the gravity go down with a sickening tight twist to his stomach and then the emergency power flicks on and Rai calls the chief engineer to give he and the first officers ideas on re establishing the anti gravity hoping the engineer can get it done
Snorb |
Martine's stomach lurched; her feet began floating from the deck plating. As her ponytail came level to her shoulders, she shouted "Artificial gravity failure! Zero-G procedures, everyone!"
She had to use the ceiling as a set of handholds to keep herself steady as her combadge chirped. "Landen to senior staff," she said. "Looks like we've had another... incident. I might be able to get the artificial gravity back online through the computer core; until then, I think we need to break out the gravity boots."
Her earlier thought of setting up a sleeping bag in her office was starting to sound more and more reasonable.
