Three days of training sounds good. Alternating them gives us two more wrestling practices and one more dancing. And yes, Outflank is what I really want!

I'm good with advancing those 3 days. Numair will still try to see the Clanliege, simply to pay his respects, but is aware it may not happen, with the old man's "busy schedule". He would also like to spend one of those nights outdoors, hunting with Calendir.
Clanliege Clefthorn has been very busy planning. Also there are a couple of rumors you get from the guards, gratis. The first is that the prisoners you brought are still in the dungeons, but the rumor itself is that they are likely to be used as cannon fodder in the town's next attack. The other rumor is that (possibly) gargoyles were spotted to the north on Friday night, perhaps three or four of them.

The wizard is learning to wrestle and might as well join in the dancing lessons. He is pretty light on his feet. Lets see how well he can do. His acrobatics is +12. Does he still need to use his Dex for Dancing?

I have noted both of your rolls for learning the fine art of Wrestling. You have earned a skill point in Acrobatics and the extra roll (the 17) may be used freely on your next roll, whatever that may be.

At some point Lavinia will also go to Elen and hands her a scroll. "Looking though my current collection, I have this scroll for Remove Disease. I think it is one of the spells you mentioned wanting to learn. I also have one for Remove Paralysis, would you like that one as well?"
"Oh, thank you sweetie! Hmm, I'll have to have a look at it."
Elen will read over the scrolls carefully, using her spellcraft. She finally shakes her head, explaining that the remove paralysis spell uses divine energy in a way that she just can't really substitute arcane energy for. Remove Paralysis only appears on the cleric, oracle, inquisitor, and paladin spell lists. But she happily takes the Remove Disease scroll and while Numair, Ruul and Azuraunt are practicing wrestling, she performs her meditative ritual with Ally again.
Taking 10 on spellcraft: 10+12 = 22
After three hours of meditation, Ally again drinks the ash mixed with chocolate milk, and further expands the witch's arcane repertoire.

Numair will pass the rumors on to the others.
The guards mentioned that gargoyles were spotted to the north recently. While I doubt they will attack this settlement, we should keep our eyes open while we're here. And we definitely need to watch out on our trip to the Camp.

During the morning meal with the group, Lavinia passes on the results of a spell she had cast. "Earlier this morning I prayed for a sending spell and sent off a message to the Master of Spells to ask if he had any knowledge of the Harbinger. His response, and I quote, was: '"Madam, the Harbinger is a force of knowledge. It seeks all arcane knowledge for the purpose of becoming a god."' I could send off another message spell if anyone had any other questions to ask."

Ruul relays the information he and Lavinia gathered the previous day.
The minotaur nods at Lavinia's report.

Not a problem. When we wrapped up the talk with Ally and Maulf this morning (around post 1509), the calendar date was Wednesday, March 21, 4707. The rumor you got was for Friday (3/23) and you heard it on Saturday. Your rumor is the segway to the next point in the story.

Calendir is clearly pleased with both Macavity and Numair's company - both of them have no issues at all with keeping up with both him and Lagash in the wild, Macavity actually excelling at moving around unnoticed, and Numair proving to be an expert with a bow and "dancing" through difficult terrain.
The first couple oof hours of the evening are spent mostly tracking, the half-orc interested in keeping a mental note of the type of creatures navigating the area - mainly if any unnatural ones are to be found. Whenever a doubt exists, he will crouch down, taking in as much detail as possible - markings, scent, depth, then sharing his finds with his two companions, explaining the reasoning behind them.. As a final confirmation, he will track the creature down, ascertaining if his intuition had been correct or not. It is during this period that the ranger carefully choses their resting spot for the evening - a mostly quiet, out of the way niche, against a rocky outcropping, taking great care and searching as needed until a safe spot is found.
The next hours are all about navigating the outdoors expanse - Calendir has a strong endurance, so this means basically a cross-country run, and many times dash, mostly following Lagash - the cat taking great pleasure in chosing the most challenging paths possible, forcing them to traverse creeks, foliage and rough terrain, climbing trees, small cliffs and crawling through cramped, rocky tunnels, whenever he can find them. These are moments of exhilaration for the companions, the cold wind blowing in their faces while running in the dark, the need to react in a heartbeat to avoid any particular hazard, following nothing but the quiet sounds of Lagash that silently pads ahead - all contribute to have the adrenaline pumping and the blood rushing in their veins.
The last hours before taking to rest, are spent hunting - these moments are spent in silence, the understanding of what needs to be done being something to be shared without words, the four following along the trails of their prey measuring each step, each sound and each breath.
Survival +11 (+13 while in your favored terrains, +13 vs. EvilOutsiders, +15 vs. Undead, +13 while in Desert terrain, +14 to track): 1d20 + 11 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 11 + 2 + 2 = 17
After returning to the previously designated resting spot, another survey of the area is done - Since we are three out tonight, we can be slightly more lenient regarding our sleeping arrangements - usually when I am alone, I need to rely on mine and Lagash's senses, still taking care to camouflage our sleeping quarters, and ourselves before laying down - I don't think we need to go through that tonight - he explains with a smile.
Their meal is taken around a guarded fire, that allows them to cook small portions of their catch at a time. Even though relaxation is never complete, these are pleasurable moments, while Calendir shares particulars regarding so many different times and places where he has done the same with his feline companion - a particularly hard hunt, a surprisingly dangerous or cunning prey, and surprising landscapes. He is also interested in listening about how the others feel about the nights spent on the outside, and calls their attention to the sights, sounds and smells that invade them out here.
One can actually just sit here, and if you relax yourself and allow the outdoors to wash over you, you can become aware of what is going on for many miles around you - you can hear if that owl sounds from a mile away are of distress or mating, you can understand if the foliage rustling fifty yards away is simply a night breeze, or some stalking creature... It is quite amazing...

Great post btw. :)
I am adding the +2 for favored terrain and the +1 for tracking, giving the final Survival roll of 20. Over the course of 3 nights (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday), you 'bag' the following: an 8-point buck, 2 does, 7 rabbits, and a young adult boar. If you drag the bodies back into town, you'll get about 80 lbs. of deer meat, 7 rabbits (it's like chicken), and just under 100 lbs from the boar. I'll leave it up to you if you want to smoke the meat immediately, or try to preserve it for later.

The management passes along his compliments and states that payment is not necessary for just cooking, as long you are bringing your kill. He offers his cask of salt if needed, as well as a room off of the kitchen to make your preparations. You may also have use of the smokehouse if you wish. If you would be so kind to roll a Survival check, DC20, to preserve the meat, we can move forward (no bonuses for terrain on this one), if you had Profession(cook), we would have used that roll instead.

Ruul will be with Lavinia trying on his new kilt(s), probably inside the Dragon.

Numair has had a pleasant couple of days, between wrestling, hunting, and dancing. He is taking today to relax at the inn in the company of the lovely ladies of the group. He sits and asks to borrow some needle & thread from Lavinia so he can mend the few cuts and tears in his pantaloons that he got hunting. While he sews, he sings with Ally and chats with the three ladies (Ally, Elen, Lavinia), the two men (Azaraunt, Ruul), the inn staff (Maulf & his daughter), and any other people in the Dragon.
"I feel quite good about our mission so far. We've gotten this far on our own, survived an assassination attempt, and secured a supply line. We've got a good lead on the caravan, and I'm looking forward to reaching the Camp soon. Not to mention how cohesive we've become, after a few rough starts. Training with you two," he nods at Ruul & Az, "is a real pleasure. Some challenges still face us, and new ones at that. How do we stop the Harbinger from spying on us, and how do we stop the dragon from destroying this town come spring. I'm hoping you mystical magicians have some kind of magic cloak for us, because the best I can do for hiding is completely mundane. And I'd have a hell of a time disguising Ruul! As far as the dragon goes, it sounds awfully big. I'm no expert, but I've heard that as they age they get bigger -- and meaner -- and more powerful. Not sure we could defeat it ourselves, let alone disuade it from attacking this village. Something to ponder still. Perhaps I can purchase some dragon-slaying (Dragon Bane) arrows. I've heard such things exist. Actually, could any of you craft such things?

Man, I'm brain-dead - forgot Digory!
Numair would have asked Lavinia to see if Digory had recovered enough to spend a night outdoors. If so, Digory would need to have come along on the hunting trip. If not, he would have left him at the Dragon, under the watchful eye of the Dr. Lavinia and Physician's Assistant Ruul.
He will raise each morning at dawn, as he always does, and spend that time in meditation. The sunset will be a time for lessons with Digory. He does not dictate Digory's actions during the day or night, other than to enforce the rules as previously laid down. Digory will sleep in Numair's room.
Numair will acquire another set of cold-weather gear for Digory, as well as bedroll, blanket, backpack, rations and other items (basically an adventurer's kit). He will also purchase a set of padded armor and a wooden club. He will allow Digory to stow the padded armor in his backpack, but will keep the club.
I am glad there have been several days for you to rest at the inn, Digory. How are your wounds feeling? We will be heading out soon, and I have been seeing to your needs for the trip. These items you have seen me purchase are some of the things you will need where we are going. You are to stay out of harm's way as much as possible, but I understand that some foes will not distinguish your non-combatant status, or care. In such an event, I will pass you this club, and you may defend yourself. Do you understand? Do you have any questions?
Ruul Spiritskin
That reminds me: If it's possible, Ruul would like to apologize to the girl for startling her.
"They are both quite comfortable. There's plenty of room for... me, underneath", Ruul says to Lavinia (and possibly Elen or Ally if they were involved).
The minotaur listens to Numair's speech and nods in agreement.
"It's clear that the Ten chose well in selecting each of us for this task. I could not imagine being here with anyone else."
Elen Emerwen
During the evenings after her Alchemical work is complete, Elen will help Lavinia make the kilts. She will loan her the use of her masterwork sewing kit, so both rolls above will be +2 higher, and another +2 for the aid another.
Aid another for wool kilt: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22
Aid another for leather kilt: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28
With Elen's expert help and fine tools, Lavinia is able to craft a fine, warm woolen kilt and a sturdy, elegant looking leather kilt. Totals are 25 for the woolen kilt, 31 for the leather kilt. When Ruul tries on the kilts, she will playfully whistle in appreciation, and turn to Numair and suggest with a wink, "You'd look good in one of those as well, ever-so elegant and debonair, though the entire female population of Gundrun may beg to join our expedition if you did choose to sport one!"
When Numair outfits Digory, Elen will suggest he get leather armor to spare the man the indignity of padded, and to get him some warm weather gear as well considering what they've been told about the summers in the Worldwound.
Elen will suggest that she, Lavinia and Ally examine Digory and evaluate his condition before recommending for or against his joining the hunting party. Has the lesser Geas been cast on him?
Heal check from Ally to aid Lavinia and Elen: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Heal check to aid Lavinia's examination, or to examine Digory herself: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Ally flutters about but she seems to be a little unfocused today.
When Numair asks about the dragon, Elen considers what she knows about dragons, and to see if she can figure out what the creature is based on the descriptions.
Knowledge(arcana): 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (18) + 14 = 32
I think that ought to be enough to know a few things about dragons, including that they have blindsense and are extremely perceptive.
"Invisibility is rarely very effective against dragons, unfortunately. Chances are high that a true dragon would know that we are present, even if it couldn't precisely locate us. As for magical arrows, I can't create one unfortunately, but perhaps if it would be useful I can study the techniques. May not be helpful for a while, though."
I hadn't planned out specifically taking any crafting feats but I could look into it at level 9.

Responding to Numair Azaraunt explains I can scribe scrolls and I have learned to craft some items of magic of the miscellaneous type. But I have not studied the crafting of magical or mundane armor or weapons. These things are mostly foreign to me, although I know more of the longbow than most wizards.
On the subject of Digory: Azaraunt will almost insist on casting the Geas, now that it has been agreed to and will renew it every 6 days, even though it lasts 7. He will work out carefully the exact wording, making sure that both Numair and Digory are in agreement with it. The wizard will strongly recommend that the wording include something to the effect of Digory not taking any actions to harm or betray any party member, and to not act against their general interests or well being.
During the day Azaraunt will go about his business, but when present will make it a point to talk with Digory and in general try to be a good influence on him, all the while also watching him. At night Imbukar will never let the man out of his sense range.
Elen Emerwen
Oh, and Saturday evening, which is the time when you were asking about, LM, I think, Elen would have been relaxing at the Inn with Lavinia and anyone else who is present. At around 2100 she would have retired to bed. Ally would stay up and chat with anyone else who also stayed up, or go to bed as well if no one else did. If anything happens prior to 2300 she will still have false life and Mage armor up.

Hmm. That is a problem. Only thing we can do is drain a level from him. ;) How about the wizard puts an arcane mark on him and gets a lock of hair. Mark can be invisible IF we want it to be. Might be better as a reminder if its not. It lasts a month and would be a good reminder to his commitment. I would want him to agree to the mark as part of his deal. That way I could always find him if he runs, baring some pretty strong magic on his part. I am fine with leg irons but Azaraut will not insist on them. Others might.

Digory remains rather weak in endurance; he still looks sickly and pale and does not move with much grace. He does notice that the rest of the party has thus far ignored him, but he accepts that; there is little else he can do, and his whole body aches if he does much more than a shuffle. He does the chores that Numair asks him to do, with little protest. He then stays in his bed as much as possible.
Digory's next CON check for his condition is 4 days away. Also, are you allowing him to keep his regular possessions (minus the weapons of course) that he had on him when he went on the boat? If you want, I can post the list of items here as a spoiler.

Even the youngest wyrmling is a force to be reckoned with for the average person. From birth, dragons can see in the dark like a goblin, in low-light like a cat, and has far better eyesight than a human. Their fantastical nature also produces an aura of fear, even among 'good' dragon (some of which include gold, copper, and silver types). These abilities also allow a dragon to clearly see its surroundings, even when somehow blinded.
It is also known that, as a dragon ages (and each type ages differently in many ways), it gains many powers to use at its disposal. As a predator, its natural weapons (i.e. claws, bite, breath, etc.) are considered magical in nature and can penetrate several types of defenses, even those designed to wards off certain effects. The dragon's breath weapon, of which the species is infamous for, comes in several varieties (again, based on dragon type) and can do extraordinary amounts of damage, typically killing any creature, person, or usually objects that get in its path.

I understand, I just finished our annual corporate meeting the other night.
Digory enjoys the opportunities to talk to Kallistiel over the last couple of days. She seems to enjoy her career path at least as much as he does, or at least did. Talking to her helps to keep his mind off of the future. It's the sickness that worries him most, he confides in her, not the penance itself, although he is aware that it won't be easy. He has seen people get sick before and he has seen people being poisoned and the effects of that, but it never occurred to him that he may become the victim rather than the instigator. He has also never encountered such a vile poison as the one he ingested, whatever it was. Poisons make people sick or disable them in some way, it rarely kills anyone however. He is worried that this poison may have stopped his career just when it was getting to the good part.
