Okay. Than Sarag would have passed the last check the day before. But failed the one in the morning. So he stayed awake all night, but passed out and failed to help with cooking. That is why he was 'punished'.

Mopsank Profession (sailor): 1d20 + 4 + 2 - 2 - 2 ⇒ (18) + 4 + 2 - 2 - 2 = 20
While he woke up late, Mopsank still was able to get his job done for the day.

Sassarra's singing, and liveliness, makes some among the crew smile.
[ooc]For the next 24-hours Sassarra has a +2 circumstance bonus to all Charisma-based skill checks among the crew.

While looking around Sassarra found a little bag that looks to have falling from Harmak Gruf's cage hanging off the mizzenmast. Harmak's body still in the cage rotting for the last 6 weeks after he beat the captain in a game of dice. His parrot Pluck, still sits on the cage waiting for his master to wake up.

The bag holds a set of Cards, a set of 6 dice, and two keys.

Day 11:
The day starts sunny, but cool.

Everyone gets +2 bonus to influence other NPC.

The day passes slowly. The ship sails near the coast; forcing it to slow to navigate the waters.
Mr. Plugg calls each of you and Jack Scrimshaw up to the deck. Four round small cages sit at his feet.
"The captain wants crabs tonight." Plugg points out to the north. "The reef about 200 feet out should have a good number. Swim out with these crab pots fill them, and swim back."

Looking out over the water, you can see that it is very calm. Likly the calm comes from the reefs breaking up any harsh waves. The same reefs look to be filled with life that is keeping the water clear.

Swim is DC 10. And you can take 10 on swim checks.
Visibility in the water is 100 feet.
Each pot takes 4 crabs to fill.
It takes a DC 10 Perception or Survival to find a crab, and a DC 10 Swim to catch the crab after it is found.

Sarag slowly stumbles his way up top. He wasn't the best drinker...and keeping up with Fishguts was really a task for someone not thirty two pounds. He hiccups a bit and nods as he's told what to do. "Saraaaggg....Sarag not so good at sswwwimming, but Sarag will not fail, Sarag not drown today." he said letting out a hissing like giggle.

Swim: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (6) - 2 = 4

While Sarag said he wouldn't drown, he proved quickly that swimming was definitely not his thing. He floundered about for a while.

Swim: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (13) - 2 = 11

But he soon caught his stride finally and began to kobold paddle about.

It took Sarag a while and you could tell he didn't swim often in his life but he seemed to be getting better at it. He seemed almost an innate crab hunter.

Grauchi checking in. Feel free to ignore the following text if a different pick-up is proposed by Hokina. You can maybe even drop us in combat when our raft comes from that side if you feel we should be there. Hey, if we see a mostly kobold crew first that'd be uplifting for our characters. :P

Meanwhile not far from the wormwood, a mix of small and larger pieces of wood are drifting on the current. It are the remains of the Braunfisch, a ship whose black-powder supply was ignited by a lightning bolt in the same storm that struck the Wormwood earlier. The Braunfisch consisted of a mostly human crew of traders and transported some 'exotics' to and from nearby islands. Some of these are the three surviving kobolds which are clinging together on one of the larger remaining pieces. Who knows what happened to the sailor that also survived the storm ... The least you can say is that these kobolds are not yet suffering from famine.

"There's a ship, we can get out of this mess! What's the routine we'll use to make them pick us up?"

"We'll be honest kobolds from a trading vessel that was sunk during the storm? So we can handsomely repay them for our rescue when they bring us back to the "Formidable Maid" in Port Peril?"

Sounds fine with me.

Grauchi, Eepers, and Skrelznit slowly float along in a large reef moving slowly closer to land. Along with the ship they see a few kobolds and a human in the reef. They keep swimming down and coming back up.

After a short while of floating closer, they see some beast come up out from the depths and go after that group.

Same DC 11 Dungeoneering as above to ID the monster.

He whistles in a particular way and gives a hand sign to the sky, and high above a bird in flight changes direction toward the nearest outcropping which might contain a largish rock.

He's commanding Looseal to use the Bombard trick on the "lobstereel".

What is this "reefclaw" you speak of? I only see the lobstereel. :-)

Me killed it with one stabsie! Skrelznit, you is best hunter in the worlds.

Cutlass, one handed: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11 Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

This one seems more elusive. Skrelznit looks to the sky, then points to the beast, and the bird high overhead drops a rock on it.

A well tan human, with a ringed beard, comes out onto the main deck. "Mr. Plugg! Has the boot scum came back with my crabs yet!" He turns to look at the party and smiles a twisted grin.
"Looks like we have more crew to replace the ones lost. I have not made a pair of boots out of any of them yet," he says before looking over at the crabs and reefclaws. "And fresh Reefclaw. I have not had any in a while."
He points to Sarag. "Your the Cook's mate, right? Get that down to him now, and tell Grok that I need to talk to her. There should be a, small, reward for you four. You got me a fine diner and more crew."

He starts walking away before turning back to Plugg. "Get these rats ready for their jobs tomorrow. They will be fine replacements for those loses in the storm." The captain returns back into his cabin.

looking at Mr. Plugg, he looks pissed. "I will hand out the jobs in the morn! Get out of my face." Plugg too walks away and goes below decks.

Ship actions:

Along with your work, you can take two ship actions each day, one during the day and one at night. You can attempt to take up to two additional ship actions, but to do so you much make a DC 10 Constitution check (+4 for the 2nd action) or be fatigued for the next day.
You can not take additional actions while fatigued, and any fatigue checks from job comes before checks for additional ship actions.
When Kroop (the cook) is sober, he automatically makes the skill check for the day’s
cooking, with the PC’s assistance. When the cook is drunk, the cook’s mate must make the day’s meal for the pirates by herself, in addition to her normal duties for the day. If the PC has to hunt or slaughter the food as well as cook, all checks for both tasks are made with a –4 penalty. In such cases, if the cook’s mate takes any ship action during the day other than working, all work checks automatically fail (the cook’s mate does not receive the +4 bonus for working diligently in this case).

Daytime:
Work Diligently: +2 on any one check for a job's daily task. Stacks.
Influence: attempt to influence a single NPC
Sneak: Exploring one area of the ship.
Shop: Take a –2 penalty on all checks for a job’s daily task and visit the quartermaster’s store. Stacks.
Shirk: Take a -2 penalty on all checks for a job’s daily task. Take time exploring one area of the ship. May take 10 on a perception or other skill check. Stacks.

Nighttime ship actions:
Sleep: Go to bed early and sleep through the night (automatically recover from fatigue).
Work Diligently: +2 on any one check for a job's daily task. Stacks.
Influence: attempt to influence a single NPC
Sneak: Exploring one area of the ship. May need to make check to avoid discovery based on location.
Entertain: Make one Perform check to entertain the crew.
Shirk: Take a -2 penalty on all checks for a job’s daily task. Take time exploring one area of the ship. May take 10 on a perception or other skill check. Stacks.
Steal: Attempt to open a locked door or locker. The PC must make a check to avoid being discovered.
