Thangrom steps back, gritting his teeth and wishing he had another vial of that magic oil he'd used back in the keep. His hands clench around the haft of his weapon in frustration.

Telsyn rises and moves closer. He hopes the thing will reveal itself, if Abigail fails to drop it. Ready action to cast a spell.

Derika gets out of the way and goes to Jerrica to make sure she's not grabbed again, "Are you alright? Don't worry, I'm not gonna leave ya."

The poltergeist, a skeletal ghost, appears in the middle of the main room and cackles. It then vanishes as quickly as it appeared.

Thangrom, Vishanti, Telsyn and Abigail: make a DC14 Will Save or be frightened for 1d4 ⇒ 4 rounds.

Despite Telsyn's flashing, Abigail manages to keep her cool, but she may have attempted to stifle a short giggle.

Unsure where the undead may be, Abigail hopes for the best. fighting off the fear of the poltergeist's scream, within a flash, she channels once more unleashing another wave of Sarenrae's light.

The poltergeist vows to return before exploding in a burst of light.

Once the effect dies with the creature, Telsyn takes a second to collect himself, and answers Derika.

Yeah, we can. This thing's going to come back, though, if we don't figure out what has to happen to release it.

"That isn't entirely accurate. You can all go back to sleep. It will be days before it can draw enough power to reconstitute itself. We can search for whatever created it just as easily in the morning." Vishanti says comfortingly. "You especially Jerrica, that was a nasty drop you took."

She looks at Jerrica for a moment with an expression of worry on her face, "Hey...that thing dropped you on your head? Are you sure it's safe for you to go to sleep right away? Should we watch you or something in case it gave you a concussion? I wouldn't want anyone slipping into a coma or anything. I'll stay up with ya if ya need me to." She says as she yawns and stretches involuntarily.

"I was just a foot off the ground," Jerrica sighs. "Like I said, no biggie."

She pats Jerrica on the back as she yawns again, "Okay...if you're sure you're alright. In that case, I'm going back to bed then. She gives him a smirk and turning goes back to her room and the bed that she was so rudely roused from.

In the time it takes Derika and Jerrica to finish talking, Thangrom has already returned to where he was keeping watch with Vishanti.


The rest of the first watch and the following two go by uneventfully. The morning arrives with a thick bank of fog settled in the area.

As the others start to get up, Derika throws her stuff back in her bag. Going over to Telsyn she shakes him gently, "Hey...wake up. I wanna get outta here. If we can figure out what caused that spirit thingy to stay here and fix it fine, but I don't wanna be here if it comes back. I'd rather just get gone again."

Hi, I tried to PM Derika on facebook but I don't think she uses it much but when I am at work that is the only means to talk to anyone. and she is the only one I know on facebook. anyway I tried to post yesterday but the boards decided to crap out and my post was lost. so these actions are from the prior night. I know we are on the next morning but this is what I was trying to post earlier so for Abby she is still shortly after the battle was over time frame.

As everyone was conversing and making sure everyone was alright, Abigail knew the general idea of how to permanently get rid of the Poltergeist.

she searches around the room(s) the Poltergest seemed bound to for any clues that may help figure the mystery out.

take twenty on the search for a 25

knowledge religion to help in the search: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

figures, before the boards crashed yesterday that knowledge roll was like 16


Abigail searches about and finds the baths. The other door, however, is locked.

During part of the night Abby was checking out the locked door. she was going to ask Jerrica to see if she could open it, but when she looked over, Jerrica was already asleep.

Next morning Abby takes some time for her prayers.

after prayers, she comes up behind Jerrica, with a hand on her shoulder, Breakfast sounds good. and after that, we should check out that locked door over there, I think the answers we are looking for may be beyond that door.
