Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1

Let's do it!

Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9

OK, then that's our standard "plan of attack" for each door, Keeper. Were we going through the north, or south?

GM

Its a good plan I'll make your rolls for every doo. Now where to back down the hall or one of the north doors?

Fighter Level 9

I think Finn, Daurros and me had voted for the north door, so we will head that way.

If there is ever any doubt over who is doing the actual door opening (because it is too heavy for the open/close spell or is stuck) default to me please.

Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1

bump?

Fighter Level 9

Bump?

Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9

Daurros peers expectantly through the open door ...

GM

You see a corridor it leads left and right, three almost spent torchs light this hall

Sorry for lack of updates as of late

yOUR MAP

male Kalashtar Shaper 2

"What do you see beyond the corridor? Any doors left or right?"

GM

The the left you see 2 doors, the right goes on a bit then another conor

Fighter Level 9

Ardanto grins and heads left, he approaches the first door (the one in the west wall) and waits for the others to do there thing.

male Kalashtar Shaper 2

Forzakhad nods. "Go for it."" he whispers.

Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9

"OK, ready?" Daurros casts open/close on the door.

Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1

Finn nods, spear at the ready.

Warforged Fighter 2 / Incarnate 4 / Ironsoul Forgemaster 3

Guard keeps his rear position, leaving every room as last one, making himself a 'meat-shield' to all others, turning into the darkness behind every other step.

"Keep together. We don't want to loose each other down here, don't we?"

Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9

The door opens and ...

Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1

Oh my god, it's full of stars...

GM

sorry guys here we go i'll be up to posting 1 or more times a day now

One the door is opened it leads to another hall this one darkened and another conoer

LOL. But I was hoping for a chocolate river and lots of singing Oompa Loompas ...

GM

Oh I can give you a river....more blood and carnage then chocolate and more Cenobite then Oompa Loompas ...but...eh we can work on that minor issue

Fighter Level 9
Keeper of Forbidden Lore wrote:

I want my mommy!

Fighter Level 9

Ardanto heads down the corridor and peers around the bend.

GM

As you come down the corridor you see another door..this one slightly ajar lite spiels from it into the corridor

MAP

Fighter Level 9

Ardanto sneaks up to the door and readies both weapons while Daurros opens the door with his mage hand.

Readied action to attack any hostile that might be lurking behind the door.

Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9

Daurros tries to mime that Finn or Whisper ought to Stealth up there and Listen first, while the rest of us stay back. Get an idea of what might be in there before we go opening it further ...

Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1

Finn creeps forward and listens carefully.

Stealth = 1d20+8=20, Perception=1d20+12=16

Wow...my Perception rolls really stink.

Warforged Fighter 2 / Incarnate 4 / Ironsoul Forgemaster 3

Guard looks around cautiously, waiting for those in front to get going again. His Soulspark familiar hovers over his head as to not spoil his view.

Finn: At least they don't know that you don't see them. ;)

GM

The floor of this room is cluttered with partially eaten bones and clumps of dark fur,giving the air the stink of a filthy wet dog

map

Fighter Level 9

"Phuey, smells like my old first mate, he was a bugbear."

Ardanto peers into the room before cautiously squeezing past Finn and heading for the far side.

Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1

Finn follows Ardanto and scans the room for anything of interest.

Male Human Cleric 5th

Thoven follow's behind "Light of the Flame guide us..."

Hey guys, sorry for the recent lack of posting

GM

Five prison cells line the western wall of this hallway. Each cell features a nasty-looking heap of straw, a wooden bucket, and little more. Iron bars close each cell off , with a little narrow gate featuring a large lock allowing egress from each.

Your map

Are there any occupants to the cells?

GM

None that you can see, just nasty cells and rusty bars

Fighter Level 9

Ardanto will head down the corridor checking each cell as he goes, does there appear to be a way on?

Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9

Looks like there's a door at the end of the hallway. Shall we proceed through, or backtrack?

Male Human Cleric 5th

My vote is to proceed

Warforged Fighter 2 / Incarnate 4 / Ironsoul Forgemaster 3

Proceed, if possible

"What's going on up front?" Guard asks mostly ignoring any stealthyness.

Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1

Keep going.

Finn will scan the inside of each cell for any hidden clues to the previous occupants.

male Kalashtar Shaper 2

"Keep your eyes open and move forward. This place reeks."

Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1

Finn will take 10 for his Perception checks when examining a cell.

GM

The purpose of this macabre chamber seems obvious. A stretching rack dominates the northern corner of the room, and a open iron maiden stands to the southeast corner. A sizzling brazer of coals sputters in the southwest corner, giving the chamber a hellish red cast. A man in rags is latched to the rack as a sweat covered man in a leather apron heats irons in the brazer

Map

I am guessing after each cell you moved to the northern door. Finn you spotted nothing in the cells

The guy heating irons is going to have it, Ardanto muscles his way into the room with Sword and Torch in hand and charges towards him. "Surrender or die!" he cries as he advances.

Warforged Fighter 2 / Incarnate 4 / Ironsoul Forgemaster 3

Psst: Ardanto is not himself again

GM

Ardanto is often not himself, part of the charm I have been told

Init
Lotus dragon=15
Whisper=6
Ardanto=5
Finn=5
Thoven=5
Daurros=5
Forzakhad=4
Guard=4

As Ardanto runs into the room the man with the apron burnishing a blazing iron advanced toward him. The iron hits Ardanto hard had the heat brands his skin leaving a nasty burn 12hp

He is now down to 6 hp

Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1

Finn drops the repeating crossbow and rushes forward to slash at the torturer with his fiendish talons.

"I bet you're friends with that bastard Vanthus," he hisses as his claws scratch against the man's leather armor.

1d20+3=11 1d6+3=6

GM

You guys really dont like Vanthus do you

Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9

Daurros immediately uses HoA to send his rapier at the torturer (attack is +5, and damage 1d6+5, should anyone care to roll).

Is the guy on the rack just lying there, or is he strapped in? Does he appear injured? And did we hear any screams coming from this room before we entered?

GM

He looks to be tied down

Finn doesn't, anyways. He's got a vengeful streak a mile wide.
