male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller

Ok guys I bumped the thread to look for a replacement for David. Ith will be moving on after this part of the story.

male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller

Ok guys we will be leveling soon. As such i have decided I will open up more books for ya to choose things from.
Most of the following books is ok just run it by me.

*Magic of eberron
*faiths of eberron
*races of eberron
*Dragon marked

also if there is something ya really want to try from elsewhere just ask. i'll look and see if i think it fits or can make it fit. Most things I do not have an issue with But i dont want to keep track of 30+ books.

one note The spell and magic item compendiums will prob not happen fair warning .

I may say no so dont take offance but most of the stuff in the books above are ok

The Exchange

Female Human(ish) DM 1 / Housewife 1 / Zany RPer 3

Hee! My subscriptions *hugs them*

Yay replacement, although Whisper is going to freak out over losing Ith, she liked him! XP

Eeek! Levelling? But I suck at making plans for levelling - is there a class for small panicked teenager?

male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller

sure stay a rogue.I just opened up more books for those that want them. My multi classing rules still stand however.

ya may be able to save iths life.... xp is on the keepers profile

oh and if ya get time your up :}..gaurd has killed your flanking target however.....I just have t ended that round yet. just giving ya some heads up

So, I don't have any of those books. Anything interesting for Guard in there?

On the other hand, as we have discussed, I'd like to level in Incarnate, will I be able to do that now, or should I wait till third level?

male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller

yeas there should be stuff for you in there, as for the incaram well as we have talked ya been doing the rp, and after your exposed just when ever ya think feels right. I am doing it kinda like a sorcerers powers, unless ya would like to use this next level to uncover his powers.

Male Human Technician 17

So, can I wait until the exposure to level in Incarnum?

Is everyone levelling up? What about those of us who joined late? We should have less XP.

I am going to stick to pure core books if that is ok with you, stick to what I know.

Shame about ith, any new blood yet?

Races of Eberron has all kinds of cool stuff for warforged characters, I think.

Would you allow any of the lesser orb spells from Complete Arcane? How about power word pain from Races of the Dragon? Daurros may be interested in acquiring one or both of these spells as he levels (or as purchases) if they're allowed ...

Power Word: Pain is a bit too much, in my opinion (although it becomes obsolete after a while).

If you do manage to learn that spell, please make some scrolls of it for Finn!

male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller

Ok. The new guys will level with everyone else. It's just easier that way right now.

The orb spells I will allow. I am on the fence if there Conjuration however.I don't own races of dragon so that's out sorry.

male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller

Also feel free to take some of the feats jason posted if you meet the requirements for em.

male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller

Ah one other thing the orb spells, they will not be bypassing SR. Other then that they work normal.

OK, not a problem ...

male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller

Anything else or if ya don't have the eberron books I am happy to list spells if ya like.

Dark Archive

male human

Well, I wouldn't mind seeing a few suggestions (I don't have any of the Eberron books, actually), but you don't need to list them all. The core rules have plenty of good spells, too ... Even if they don't bypass SR, the orb spells are still pretty good, and I always liked them.

One other question, which the beta rules aren't clear on for me (and I'd like to know how you rule) - the bonus spell I get at 2nd level, is that in addition to the two free spells a wizard gets every level (giving, in effect, three spells for your spellbook)? Or is it selected from among those spells already in your spellbook?

male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller

Well you select a spell and it can never be changed. It may be any spell you know. It can be one of the 2 new ones or any other spell of that level in your spell book.

The ability does not grant you a extra spell, but an extra slot that always has the selected spell in it.

Transmutation
Level: Artificer 1, sorcerer/wizard 1

Range: Touch
Target: Construct touched
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: No
When laying your hands upon a construct that has at least 1 hit point remaining, or a living construct with –9 or more hit points, you transmute its structure to repair damage it has taken. The spell repairs 1d8 points of damage + 1 point per caster level (maximum +5

Magecraft
Divination
Level: Sorcerer/wizard 1
Components: V, F
Casting Time: 1 round
Range: Personal
Target: You
Duration: 1 day
You get a +5 competence bonus on one Craft check representing a day of work crafting an item. If you cast this spell every day for a week, you can make a Craft check representing the week’s work and still gain the +5 competence bonus.
Focus: The tools and other equipment normally required to use the Craft skill to which you apply the bonus.

ANCIENT KNOWLEDGE
Divination
Level: Bard 1, sorcerer/wizard 1
Components: V, S, F
Casting Time: 1 minute
Range: Personal
Target: You
Duration: 1 hour/level or until discharged You tap the ancient knowledge of fate and fortune, giving
you a greater ability to focus on a particularly difficult academic problem. Before making a Knowledge check, you can decide to discharge this spell as an immediate action to give yourself a +5 insight bonus on the check. If you do not have any ranks in the Knowledge skill, it is still treated as
an untrained check. Special: A character with any Mark of Finding dragonmark, or with the Favored in House feat (Tharashk), treats any Knowledge check made in conjunction with this spell as a
trained check, even if he doesn’t have any ranks in the skill.
Focus: A piece of ivory worth at least 100 gp.
DETECT DRAGONMARK
Divination
Level: Cleric 1, sorcerer/wizard 1
Components: V, S, M/DF
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: 60 ft.
Area: Cone-shaped emanation
Duration: Concentration, up to 10 minutes/level (D)
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: No
You can sense the presence of dragonmarks. The amount of information you receive about a particular dragonmark depends on how long you study a particular area or subject.
1st Round: Presence or absence of dragonmarks.
2nd Round: Number of dragonmarks (on creatures or objects) in the area, and the type (aberrant, least, lesser, greater, or Siberys) of the most potent dragonmark.
3rd Round: The location and type of each dragonmark. If the objects or creatures bearing the dragonmarks are in line of sight, you can attempt Spellcraft checks to determine the name of the spell-like ability granted by the mark (see page 47 of the EBERRON Campaign Setting for the appropriate DC). If you beat the DC by 5 or more, you also learn whether the mark’s spell-like ability has any remaining uses for the day.
Arcane Material Component: A scale from a true dragon.

DISTRACTING SHADOWS
Evocation [Darkness]
Level: Bard 1, sorcerer/wizard 1
Components: V, M
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Touch
Target: Object touched
Duration: 24 hours (D)
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: No
This spell causes an object to radiate distracting shadows in a 10-foot-radius spread. Casual scrutiny of an affected area doesn’t reveal anything out of the ordinary; however, cracks, crannies, corners, hidden traps, and secret entrances or exits within the area become harder to spot. Creatures within the area or looking into it are subliminally confused by the distracting shadows, and take a –5 penalty on all Spot and Search checks. However, the shadows do not provide suffi cient concealment for a
creature to make a Hide check. Distracting shadows counters or dispels any light or darkness
spell of equal or lower level. Distracting shadows can be made permanent with a permanency
spell (minimum caster level 10th; cost 1,000 XP).
Special: A character with any Mark of Shadow dragonmark, or with the Favored in House feat (Phiarlan or Thuranni), can cast this spell to fill a 20-foot-radius spread.
Material Component: A bit of bat fur and either a drop of pitch or a piece of coal.

HIDDEN WARD
Illusion (Glamer)
Level: Bard 1, sorcerer/wizard 1
Components: V, S, M
Casting Time: 10 minutes
Range: Touch
Target: Object touched
Duration: 24 hours; see text
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: No
This spell helps disguise the presence of any spells (including glyph of warding) that have been cast upon the target object. If detect magic or a similar effect is used to detect the presence of magical auras on the object, the caster must succeed on a caster level check (DC 10 + your caster level) to find any magical auras that are the result of active spells. (The DM should make this roll in secret to
prevent suspicion by the players.) A single successful check will reveal both the hidden ward and the spells it hides. In addition, casting this spell on a magic trap (such as a fire trap spell cast on an object) increases the Search DC to find the trap by one-half your caster level (maximum +5). This spell cannot be used to conceal nonmagical traps, nor does it hide the magical properties of an item that aren’t dependent on active spells (such as the magic aura of a +1 longsword).
Special: When cast by a character with any Mark of Warding dragonmark, or with the Favored in House feat (Kundarak), the duration increases to one day per level.
Material Component: Lead shavings and powdered diamond worth 100 gp.

Arcane spells

Seeker

Spoiler:

Hmmm ... I'd forgotten about the repair damage series of spells (they're in Complete Arcane, as well). Those could come in quite useful for Guard, I think (and maybe might be worth his while to "contribute" to buying a scroll of it for me to copy :-)). I may have to consider that one. And I like Ancient Knowledge as well, although the focus is a bit outside my price range at the moment. Thanks for posting these!

Spoiler:

No prob may i will allow much from dragon mages as i have many of them as well. If ya need anything else let me know

male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller

Hey guys. Over the last little bit I have been trying to keep the game going, part of this has been me making rolls and such to keep the flow going. If this is bothering anyone let me know ok.

any other issue ya have or anything feel free to bring it up

if ya need to talk to me in privet and I am not in the chatroom ya can email me at yahoo.com with my user name seekerofshadowlight

I'm happy to go as fast as every one can take. Hence the reason I check the thread about 5 times per day.

Male Human Technician 17

I got no problem with Guard being DM-PC'ed if I am not online for some time (Weekend, vacation, sickness, whatever keeps me from coming online).

I am really glad how fast that fight got resolved, even if it means, that I can't do all rolls for him by myself (like AoO and such).

Moving things along is one of the sacred duties of a play-by-post/play-by-email DM. Feel free to do so.

Great! One thing to note: Finn actually has 4 hero points left, not 1 (because of his Heroic Spirit feat).
