Caitlyn Weissman
The sight of the dragon makes Caitlyn's blood run cold, she glanced at her companions, surely none of them were going to do anything crazy? She found it hard to judge the emotions of minotaurs but the newcomer 'mittens' was giving the beast a hard stare.
Putting a finger to her lips she gave the others a meaningful glance and beckons them round a corner to consider what to do. She whispers to them, "Lets not forget why we are here. It's to find the disks, not fight that nightmare, although gods help us it may come to that. We want to talk to the Highbulp, lets wait a while and see if it or the Highbulp leaves?"
Mariel Uth Kaldar
Come Mittens, throwing away your life will do no good in bringing the Disks of Quen Illumini to light. she says grabbing the minotaur by the arms and pulling him deeper in toe the shadows
Jakun Stormhoof
Jakun assist Mariel by bringing Mittens along whispering to him, "Cousin I need to rest before I can do battle again. If we must challenge this beast to get the others to safety I will do so with you but now is not the time".
Is NPC Gavin with us or Retconned out? I assume Goldmoon goes with the flow? :-)

Let's go with retconned out. And yes, Goldmoon is obliging.

staying in the shadows, Thsitletorp scurries about the plaza, trying to get a good view of everything while also getting closer to the dragon. WOW!! A DRAGON!!!!!!
Perc?: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (7) + 25 = 32
Damn.
The dragon tilted her head quizzically.
"Yuav ua li cas yog tias? Tus Raug Kaw Nkuaj? Nqa nws ua ntej kuv, koj yog neeg ruam!" she hissed, before turning and withdrawing into the colonnade.
The gully dwarves jumped and peered about. The draconian took in the chamber again, then shouted for them to follow him and set off in the opposite direction from Thistletorp and the others.
Caitlyn Weissman
Heart pounding, Caitlyn waits to see if the dragon departs. If it doesn't they'd face a terrible risk if they decided to follow the dragon man and the gully dwarves. The dragon had apparently given them their marching orders, orders the innfellows would no doubt have an interest in...
We can't leave it too long or we risk loosing them.
Mariel Uth Kaldar
Jakun, can you use your hat to turn into one of the Aghar and follow them to see what is taking place? she inquires.
It might not be a bad idea, if possible, to begin to study gully talk or another sort of dwarven she thinks.
Caitlyn Weissman
Pretty sure they went with the draconian.
Caitlyn nods and replies, "A good thought Mariel. The rest of us should follow at a distance in case he needs help. Well except for Thistle, he can get much closer."
Caitlyn waits to see what Jackun wants to do and prepared to follow some way behind.
Jakun Stormhoof
Jakun once again dons his hat and I his place is a Gully Dwarf. The Minotaur assumes his allies follow behind as he speed walks to catch up with the Ahghar and their Draconian taskmaster...
Samnell
Which way to the Highbulp again? I may just take that suggestion Mariel!
In the direction the Draconian and gully dwarves went.
With the disguised Jakun in the lead, the party skulked forward in the draconian's wake. The din of falling water made absolute silence unnecessary, helped generously along by the draconian's repeated exhortations to the dwarves. They drew near to another cascade of water, and there Thistletorp's keen eyes descried a plainswoman hiding amid some debris on the distant side of the fall. Neither the draconian nor the dwarves seem to have marked her.
Caitlyn Weissman
It it just Thistle who has seen her?
Caitlyn waves to the planeswoman and makes a show of glancing in the direction of the distant draconian and putting a finger to her lips. She then cautiously approaches and asks, "Hello. I'm Caitlyn and these are my friends. Are you lost? Xak Tsaroth is far from the planes."
Perception: Is there any trickery here?: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13 I'm pretty sure I can guess who this is, of course Caitlyn has no idea about any of that.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28
Jakun Stormhoof
Jakun continues to follow the Draconian and the Dwarves watching the Draconian closely.
Is this Draconian of the same type/color that we encountered in the past?
Caitlyn Weissman
Unless somebody asks her not to, Caitlyn will talk to the plainswoman as described in the spoiler a few posts ago.
Jakun Stormhoof
I will keep on his tail until an opportune time arises to strike at the Draconian!
By strike I will charge at him and ram him with my horns.
Samnell
Is Jakun going to wait on others coming up to help murderhobo or going it on his own?
The plainswoman shrank back against the wet rocks as Caitlyn and the others drew near, but relented when she saw Goldmoon.
"I am not lost," the plainswoman said. "I am Sunstar of the Qui-Shu."
Goldmoon looked sharply at Sunstar, "You are of my people. How have you come here?"
"The dragonmen came, burning and killing all. Our gods did not grant me the grace of a warrior's death," Sunstar said darkly. "They denied my brother, Raven-Eye, as well."
Tears stood in Goldmoon's eyes.
Jakun Stormhoof
Jakun goes on his own, he did not see the Plainswoman, if there are more Dracs he will hold off but if it is just one by the time they teach the Ahghar "palace" he'll take that Draconian alone!
Caitlyn Weissman
At Sunstar's mention of the gods, Caithlyn glanced at Goldmoon, she wasn't familiar with the gods of plains but it was becoming apparent the old gods where real.
A bit suspiciously at first Caitlyn asked, "I'm sorry for your loss, but why come to Xak Tsaroth? If you are set on a warrior's death, there are many many dragon men here as well as dragon. Or perhaps you don't want to throw your life away in a meaningless gesture? Things are afoot here, talk to Goldmoon. Maybe rather than a warrior's death you'll find something to live for!"

"It was not by choice. We were taken," Sunstar said. "All who lived."
She rose unsteadily from her hiding place. "And now there is nothing. The gods cared not."
"You are hurt, I know. But they do care," Goldmoon said.
"What would the princess know of it? You are not a god until you die."
"We have thought that for a long time," Goldmoon said. "But we are wrong. It was us who turned on the gods, then made our own to hide from the truth."

Jakun Stormhoof wrote:Jakun goes on his own, he did not see the Plainswoman, if there are more Dracs he will hold off but if it is just one by the time they teach the Ahghar "palace" he'll take that Draconian alone!Since it's just the two of you, mind if we handwave it?
As long as Jakun gets to win, then yes I am fine with that! :-)
Caitlyn Weissman
Caitlyn interjects, saying, "Your people weren't the only ones to turn from the old gods. My people did so too, long we thought they had gone forever, yet it seems that's not entirely true..." She looks at Goldmoon, wondering if she should say more or leave it to the plains-woman's judgement...
Samnell
Jakun found his chance and swiftly dispatched the searching draconian. The gully dwarves scattered.
Meanwhile, back with the others, Goldmoon spoke, "We should find a safe place to speak of these things, but know that the gods are real and they care for us still."
Sunstar seemed unmoved, but rose to follow the Innfellows.
Do you want to proceed with finding the gully dwarf chief or just find a convenient bolt hole somewhere?
Caitlyn Weissman
Caitlyn casts around for a hiding place to discuss matters further, preferable one where nobody had beed recently...
Perception - Somewhere to hide: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
Survival - Make sure there's no recent tracks: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25
Caitlyn could be persuasive when she put her mind to it, but what would Sunstar say?
Jakun Stormhoof
Once Jakun dispatches with the Draconian he returns to the others.
"We should find this Highbulp and get some rest. Perhaps he will know a better way to the place where we need to be, I do not wish to wander only to find a team of these Dragon men or the Dragon itself facing us".
Samnell
Sorry for the delay. An intensely satisfying history thing came up and I love the nineteenth century more than most people I'm related to by blood. :)
The Innfellows chose to press on to the gully dwarf chieftain. Following the advice they received above, they navigate Xak Tsaroth's winding, uneven streets. Several times they hear draconians or see draconians briefly at a distance, but none take notice of the intruders. At some length, and after a few false turns due to unclear instructions, the Innfellows, Mittens, and Sunstar arroved at the end of a narrow alley. Two gully dwarves wearing rusted cookpots for helmets and holding kitchen cleavers stood there, to one side of a battered door.
"Halt!" one said, his helm jostled and sliding over his eyes.
"Who's that?" the other asked, peering forward. "We don't know you."
