Join mee! I must admit I am sad that we will likely be playing down. Oh well, at least I'll be awesome.

I suppose I could, though I'd like to know which pregen our third is playing. Also, is it cool if I don't write up the stats of the pregen in its profile?

GM can you advertise the game again in the seed recruitment? I believe we’re able to find some more players.

Just Waiting for Dystopian Altronus to dot in and we can get going. Sadly, I got to go to bed, but I'll check back first thing in the morning. Have the opening spiel already prepped in a word document. In the meantime, if you are up, feel free to role-play while Naiaj finishes up her busywork before giving the mission briefing.

Just noticed this..
GM before we begin I'd like to purchase Expert Blackmail and Ruthless Blackmail from the Dataphiles slotted boon list. I will then be changing Faction's Friend slotted with Ruthless Blackmail.

Under the assumption that we can only attempt each skill once as a group, anybody want to dibs any checks?
I'd prefer to at least try computers, but I could be convinced otherwise. We have a lot of overlap on skills.

would the weapons stolen fall under physical scinece... their design, functions, batteries, blast patterns etc.? Or would it be a life science or a different skill?
I will try either of those. I have a decent diplomacy, I can try it.

Thanks GM! Now I understand! I added a perception check to my post to see if anything relevant can be deduced.

So...needless to say Cupi at least will be diving into this computer lab (figurative, or literal, maybe both).
GM can we do both data and streets? (i.e. split into two separate teams?)

Yes, as I said, you can split into two teams if you want, or stay as one team. However, if you split up, it will be as if you are on two separate missions. I.e. any successes you acrue will not transfer to the other team. In essence you will be trying to find her twice. However, there is a benifit to doing this.
AFTER each team has found the weapons, you can try to find out additional information about where she has hidden them (security measures, any troops, etc.). Each team can work on finding these separate pieces of additional information, and share THAT between each other.
In other words, if you seperate, BOTH teams have to indipemdently find where the weapons are (digital team needs to find what servers to hack/datamine, street team needs to find which lowlifes to lean on). THEN each team can start asking specifics, and you can share that additional information.

Since everyone but Gidget has at least some Computers skill (Keskodai has +5), I vote we dogpile the computer angle.

Sounds good though, if Gidget wants to, I see no reason why she couldn't go out searching the streets alone. She would unlikely get the info before the rest of the group, but at least Gidget could be played to her strengths. Just a thought.

1) The digital team can use more than just computers, there are other skill checks too.
2) If Gidgit rolls a 10, she assists at least.Or you could split into two teams. Just because everyone has computers doesn't mean it's their best skill.

Only one of those counts as the roll. The others are only aids (+2 to final roll).
I think splitting the party is generally a bad idea, but seems to be the way to go here.
I will join Gigi on the streets unless the party wants to remain together, Xenoseeker being my underlining motivation, and I have a decent Diplomacy (not as good as computers).

I think splitting the party is generally a bad idea, but seems to be the way to go here.
I am not arguing a point to or not to split the party as much as saying that, based on my understanding, this section is merely a series of skill checks with some flavor to progress the story. So, how we go about this next section, either split or together seems generally irrelevant. So why not just do what your character would? I can say with certainty that if we go into a completely social situation with a side option to do some computers or engineering work (that would have a lower chance of success than the social) I'd still put Cupi on the side option because it doesn't hurt the team as a whole and I get to play Cupi as Cupi instead of a wall flower.
If you want to go on the streets with Gidget then have at it, have fun. But, I don't think anyone should feel obligated to do one or the other.
Dystopian Pregen
Mainly I was thinking that by splitting into two teams we are requiring six checks to find the weapons instead of three, and also diluting the number of aid dice we will be rolling, thereby lowering probability of success. The only advantage being that if the other team would gain information different from the other. But it looks like we're splitting into two teams anyway so no worries. Keskodai will hit the streets with Gidget and Raia then, being more of a people person.

I will be busy over the next little bit, Iseph, go ahead and select what auxiliary info you want us to get.
Vampire GM By Day
After looking at my last two posts, I realized I should probably give you the full list of what you can look for. Dunno why I thought a truncated list was the way to go . . . what was I thinking?
1)Access codes for the security system
2)Floor plan of the office
3)Guard posts
4)Cybersecurity configuration/location
5)Number (and type) of people directly in Villyth's Employ
"Dr." Cupi
|
Wait..so after rereading the original post for the next part I have a question. After getting the location information, is the 3 hrs going off of the 10 hrs (from the computer team) or the 14.5 hrs (from the street team)?
Vampire GM By Day
Each group can spend another three hours finding additional info. You will take as long as the longest group takes. So, like Iseph said, the digital team gets a ‘free’ extra info because the street team has already spent 14.5 hours finding the location. That will bring the timetable to 13 hours digital, 14.5 hours street. After that, your call

As this section, I assume, has a higher chance of combat I'll leave decisions to those who are more oriented toward that.

I might have missed something, sorry if this was :(.
Do we know where the weapons are?
Do we know where Villyth is?
Do we know what the rooms are? Or at least which ones are public and which are private?
Will we be able to get in as customers to the nightclub if it is open?
Presuming I can get in the front door, I will try and open the backdoor for everyone else.

You are at the place with the weapons. The night club scene is over, it was just a one-shot. The map shows the layout of what know of the floor plan.
Dystopian Pregen
The first goal I think should be to get Cupi into the server room so he can hack the security system.
To do this I propose Raia use invisibility on everyone but Iseph and we move in through the window nearest the server room (marked with a red arrow). Once we hack the cameras and any other automated security, we move to the elevator (stealthily if invisibility is still active, fighting our way through if not). Then we use the codes we obtained to activate the elevator and...uh, wing it from there?
