If allowed, I'll draw the solar weapon while making guarded step, or else I'll move and do it, even though that triggers the attack of opportunity.

Flameclaw steps forward, reaching his hand up to his mote, which dances around his hand to create the red serrated energy claws for which he is well known in gladiatorial circles. Not that well known.

Once in position, he slashes at the tentacle-headed creature, in a massive swing that is intended to slice through him and strike the other half-orc as well.

I'll go ahead and roll both Cleave attacks, even though the second one will only mean anything if the first one hits.

Attack on Tentacleface: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
Tentacleface damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10 S + 1E
Attack on Blue Orc: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Blue Orc damage: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9 S + 1E

Reminder: I'm at -2 AC if I hit on the first attack and was able to use the feat. But I don't think that would affect the original attack of opportunity.

Also, Coordinated Shot so +2 on both the guys who I currently threaten.

Brob sighs as combat inevitably starts... though this time he was expecting it. He was NOT expecting a half-orc with a tentacle for a head, but took that in stride, calling out:

"Nightarch, quite a dark setting
And the city don't know what the city is getting
The creme de la crime of the under-world
In a showdown with a Society of Starfinders

Oh my, doesn't seem a minute
Since the warehouse had more live halforcs in it.
Things change don't you know that when you
Fight at this level we'll bring down the venue
Like it's Golarion, or Damiar, Iovo or...
Or this place!"

Brob's words give Bakoyo a welcome pick-me-up, healing him for 9SP.

@Bakoyo, sorry, the rules seem pretty clear on this one. You can't draw while taking a guarded step, only while moving your speed, so that will provide an AOO from Grimillak. But I figure Brob can boost you beforehand to soften the potential blow!

Bakoyo steps up, provoking an attack from Grimillak!!
Tentacle vs KAC: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15
Bludgeoning damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
And Grimillak hits Bakoyo for 11 points!!

Bakoyo's mighty swing hits Grimillak for a solid 11 points and with the blue orc prone on the ground, it becomes an easy target for Bakoyo's cleave!! The blue orc loses consciousness!!

@TK423, not sure who you're firing at, so I'll roll randomly.
green, purple: 1d2 ⇒ 1
TK423's tactical pistol shot misses but the arc pistol shot lands on the green half orc for 5 points!!

Twich hits the Ettercap button labelled packing area and with the loud noise of gears and hydraulic pumps activating, it stands up! .......then it sits itself right back down as a little warning light flashes. It reads, 'Low power. Please recharge.' To the side of the Ettercap a little slot lights up. It's a standard interface - you can open the slot, pull out a charging cord and plug it in. There are multiple power outlets all around the floor of the warehouse within easy reach.

The purple half-orc stands up and moves up to TK423, drawing an assault hammer!

The green half-orc is still on fire!
Fire Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Reflex: 1d20 + 2 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 + 4 + 2 = 19
He continues to roll around on the ground and this time successfully puts out the fire! He looks like he's in REALLY bad shape though!

Grimillak focuses on the vesk in front of him and the tentacles whip out again!
Tentacle vs KAC: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14
Bludgeoning damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
Bakoyo is hit for another 15 points!!

Starship Actions ; Live Exploration Extreme!

A guarded step is a move action and attacking with both weapons is a full action, so unfortunately, you won't be able to fire the second weapon this turn - only the semi-auto pistol. Alternatively, you could not take the guarded step, take an AOO and then fire both weapons. Do you have a preference? I'll wait a while for some of the other players to post their turn and see if you come back with a preference.

D'oh, okay. I misinterpreted that negative HP. Also, my claws are nonlethal, so the blue half-orc isn't dead, I believe.

Flameclaw takes a guarded step, into a position where he can strike at the two orcs. He slashes again at Grimillak first, hoping to cleave through him to hit the other orc as well, with his nonlethal claw.

Chivix moved forward, searching for another target. As he approached the intersection, he saw that his companions had taken care of almost all the opposition. Sighting down the barrel of his laser rifle, Chivix thought to himself that he needed to upgrade his weapon at some point. Maybe a tracking scope for Gravy to interface with, or perhaps an explosive charge weapon. That could be interesting. As he mused, he stroked the trigger, not overcharging the weapon this time. The barrel seemed to be warping a bit.

attack EAC: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

No overcharge since he moved and can't use Gravy this turn.

Starship Actions ; Live Exploration Extreme!

Chivix, moving to your current location will be a double move because those boxes on the ground you walked through count as difficult terrain, using up a total of 35 feet of movement. 30 feet of movement would've left you one square to the left, in which case you won't have line of sight on any targets due to those boxes on the storage racks. Therefore, with the double move, you can now see targets but won't be able to attack this round. If its any consolation, that attack roll would've missed Grimillak anyways.

Combat Concluded!!!

DC14 Life Science:
You examine Grimillak's flesh warped head and figure out he has the following ability: Death Throes. When Grimillak is brought to 0 Hit Points, he falls prone and starts shaking with spasms, thrashing about on the ground. On his next turn, Grimillak makes a single attack against each creature within reach, then dies. He takes the usual penalties for being prone, but doesn't take a penalty for attacking multiple times. If he would lose further Hit Points before this, he stops thrashing and dies.

You search the bodies and on Grimillak, you find a ring of sustenance and a credstick attached to the back of his head with 1,600 CR. Amongst the other bodies, you find four flight suit stationwear, four azimuth laser pistols loaded with a fully charged battery, four additional batteries (20 charges each), and four assault hammers.

The party plugs the Ettercap into a power outlet and a timer appears indicating that it will take 15 minutes for it to fully charge. The party also restrains the two unconscious but stable half-orcs.
Go ahead and heal up and take a 10 minute rest now, if you like. When the party is ready to proceed, either hit the button on the Ettercap and/or tell me what other actions you would like to take.

After resting up and the Ettercap is finished charging, the party hits the button on the Ettercap to get it moving to the packing area, just south of the freight elevator. This time, The forklift robot generates mighty thudding sounds as it turns around and starts walking toward the elevator.

Suddenly, the sounds are drowned by a shrill screech as ceiling-mounted speaker systems come online. A woman starts speaking, her voice distorted by the voice amplifiers. “You just had to try and steal my guns tonight, of all Elysium-damned nights? If it weren’t for you, I’d still be at this a-maz-ing party…” She pauses abruptly, lets out a resigned sigh, and continues, “Oh, just kill them. Soon after the voice stops talking, you see rushing towards you from the north and from the east four half-orcs each of them wielding hammers! They're all chanting almost, but not quite, in unison, "Kill! The! Off-worlders! Kill! The! Off-worlders! Kill! The! Off-worlders!"

And further behind each of the two groups, you see a prone drow getting ready to fire upon you with laser rifles!

The enemy targets all double-moved this turn, none of them get an attack.

Twich smiles. It's not a nice smile, because it shows far too many sharp teeth. Then she lifts her hand, and three hard little pellets of magic streak out at the drow.

"Gravy, target the lead attacker. Firing now." Chivix knew that his rifle had cooled down enough to continue overcharging it. He pressed the stud while he stroked the trigger, and caught hte lead half-orc center mass.

Thanks for the reminder on that. I was only thinking of the 2 in my personal stash. I will quaff the 6 we found upstairs, and one of my own stash.

Healing serum I: 1d8 ⇒ 1

Okay, I'm beginning to suspect this is an algorithm issue ...

Anyway, quick map question ... The lighter gray areas are elevated, right? So the purple drow is prone on top of crates, and also behind some crates? What sort of climb/jump actions are needed to get up there?

Also, can you confirm that the trap to the right of us (is still active/enabled?

Starship Actions ; Live Exploration Extreme!

Yup, the traps are still active. Because you have building mainframe access, anyone in the party can try to deactivate them all with a Computers check.

The two lighter gray areas to the west and south of the elevator is a mezzanine. The gray areas around you that form rows are pallet racks. I imagine it like being in Costco. It does have a an elevated level but the two drow are currently on ground level, not elevated. So they're prone, on ground level, behind some crates.

I'll recopy and paste the map mechanics in the discussion thread.

Starship Actions ; Live Exploration Extreme!

@Chivix if you want, you could have reloaded your laser rifle with a fresh battery before this combat started. Pretty much every single drow and half-orc you guys have taken down so far this entire scenario has had one or two fully charged batteries, so switching out to a new, full battery is not a problem.

Twich's magical pebbles slam into the purple drow for 9 points!
Chivix unleashes a punishing laser bolt at the blue half-orc for 12 points! That blue half-orc is looking pretty bad!

"Who would have thought this was coming?" Brob quips gamely, before lifting up his voice.

"The woman on the comms talked about a slaughter
By the time we'd passed her by
Maybe at the next "rave" they'll sing about
How she failed and we're still alive!

We're alive and waiting waiting
We're alive and waiting for this!"

Is the Drow Prone AND in cover? If not, I'll target her, if so, target the injured Half-orc

attack vs EAC: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 5 + 1 = 20

I'll fast-swap it during combat. It's the Chivix way!

Starship Actions ; Live Exploration Extreme!

Yep, prone AND behind cover.

Brob takes aim at the blue half-orc and hits, bringing the half-orc down!

Flameclaw snarls. "Where I come from, someone calls you stupid, you fight against them, not for them." He advances toward the two half-orcs.

I have to move through a threatened square to get to where I am, so I believe purple gets an AoO on me, but it'll be before my AC drops from the cleave.

The red energy claws ripple in anticipation as he swings at the half-orcs.

Solar Weapon attack, purple half-orc: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Solar weapon damage, purple half-orc: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11 S +1E (all nonlethal)

Solar weapon damage, green half-orc: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9 S +1E (all nonlethal)

-2 AC for next turn ... hope that purple has a bad KAC

Starship Actions ; Live Exploration Extreme!

Yep, purple has an awful KAC. They're not called cannon fodder for nothing!

TK423 continues to move like a ghost, even in normal light! His shot finds its mark and hits the purple half-orc for 8 points!

Bakoyo charges into combat to confront the two half-orcs moving down the middle aisle. The purple half-orc takes a swing at Bakoyo as Bakoyo moves in...
Assault hammer vs KAC: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Bludgeoning damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Bakoyo is hit for 3 points!

Bakoyo then returns the attack, swing at both the purple and green half-orcs! The purple half-orc goes down while the green half orc takes 10 points of damage!

The Ettercap moves forward and with a loud, metallic *CRUNCH*, it flattens the containers in front of it as it moves forward 20 feet!! Obviously no one in this warehouse ever bothered to activate the Ettercap's safety protocols as it just tramples over anything in its path!!
You can see that Ettercap is moving 20 feet per turn. If you want to move through Ettercap squares, each square will count as difficult terrain. If you want to hit the 'stop' button on the Ettercap it will be a move action, assuming you're next to the Ettercap.

The red half-orc double moves through the pallet rack, avoiding stepping on the trapped area. He moves right up to Bakoyo!!

With a flanking partner, the green half-orc swings at Bakoyo!!
Assault hammer vs KAC, flanking: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 3 + 2 = 11
Bludgeoning damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
And the sad, sad half-orc cannon fodder misses!!!

The purple drow, with a clear view opens fire with a laser rifle at Chivix!!
Azimuth laser rifle vs EAC: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
Fire damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Chivix is hit for 3 points!!!

The red drow also takes a shot at the target whom he can clearly see - Bakoyo!
Azimuth laser rifle vs EAC: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
Fire damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
Bakoyo is hit for 8 points!

Round 2

Red half-orc
Purple drow (-9, prone)
Red drow (prone)
Chivix (-3SP, -1RP)
Twich (-1RP)
TK423
Bakoyo (-11SP, -4HP, -1RP)
Brob (-1RP)

Blue half-orc (dead, removed from combat)
Purple half-orc (unconscious, removed from combat)

I reserve the right to change this action if both these orcs die before my turn.

Solar atunement points: 2

Flameclaw growls. "Detestable drow!" For a moment, he looks as if he's about to charge the drow, but decides it might be wiser to deal with the half-orcs near him first, apparently tired of getting smacked around with attacks of opportunity. He takes a guarded step away from the green half-orc and slashes at the red half-orc.

Solar Weapon attack, red half-orc: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Solar weapon damage, red half-orc: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7 S +1E (nonlethal)

Can't cleave because they aren't adjacent, so just the one attack, but also my AC doesn't drop, so that's good.
