Sorry, I've driven 400 miles today and had a moment to post, but lacked sufficient time to review our story.
DM Ranginui
Hey man, it was only 3000 posts ago. Stay on top of things! :)
Besides, I don't think GM Mezegis ever named the items. He just spoke about them in general terms (a tuft of hair, a mask).
DM Ranginui
So just to alleviate confusion: you have the keys to the next destination, and have resources available (in the library) to ascertain the ritual to use them. Throw them in the pot, add water. Double, Double,Boil and Trouble; Fire burn, and cauldron bubble, etc. You'll need both items (beard and mask) to make the hut go.
This will take about a day (giving you ample time to sally forth for supplies). You can also do the research to figure out *where* the items might take you, if you wish, before you depart. They are thematically tied to the destination.

I'm pretty sure I know the answer from your post above, Rango, but I presume mithral armor is not available?
Rango - I think my question got lost at the turning of the page - mithral?
Sven Bjornson
He answered in his next post.
If it's under 13600, it has a 75% chance of being available.
1d100
Yes, you can find it. I assume you mean "mithral" breastplate, not full plate (but correct me if I am wrong).
Kalt Ìsson
Weird, don't know how I failed to see that. Thanks, Sven.
DM Ranginui
I am suggesting most of the action take place off screen, unless you folks wish to do something besides the ritual to transport the hut, go shopping, and figure out where you might be going. If you want to assault the witch army or go say goodbyes before you leave Irrisen, I'm happy to play that out.
The fey with egg won't be sticking it's head out soon. You don't have an idea yet what it was, but suffice it to say it has currently got the upper hand on when and where it chooses to interact with you. Like any topic, you're welcome to make knowledge checks to learn more about what it might be, and you've a wonderful library to aid you.

Okay, all leveled up. Purchased a +1 mithral agile breastplate and a MW buckler.
I'm trying to decide whether to keep my cold iron and adamantine longswords. If something has DR 5, then my greatsword is basically more effective, especially if I've got lead blades up. With DR 10, the special materials matter a lot more.
The adamantine sword in particular would fetch a pretty penny - 1508 gp - which could come in handy. Might be fun to buy a wand of lead blades with some of that gold.
I feel Kalt might look a wee bit ridiculous marching around everywhere with three swords and a mace hanging off him, wouldn't mind streamlining a bit.
DM Ranginui
Emberchill is interesting item, but do keep in mind its counterspelling ability is very restrictive restrictive. It's still a +1 frost weapon, though.
DM Ranginui
Map updated. Also, fistshake at map-makers. Not the craziest I've seen from paizo but... really?
DM Ranginui
Would Lana (or anybody else, although I didn't see any on anyone else's character sheet) care to use one of her open language slots now, since Draconic and Iobarian don't seem to be in the party roster of languages?
Both languages will be useful in this campaign, Iobarian primarily in this book, Draconic will feature prominently in at least one other.
If yes, go ahead and give me linguistics roll (in addition to the one I already requested) and I'll give you a partial translation based on the result.
Shanya
I... don't have any open language slots. I didn't assign points to Linguistics last level-up.
Well, crap.
DM Ranginui
Actually, it kind of makes a vague sort of sense. The roots of Iobarion aren't well explained in their mythology, but it would seem natural for it to be related to Hallit - or perhaps a fusion of Hallit and Giant (Giant being another lingua franca of the region).
Avora Teremocles
Please note that Avora speaks Hallit fluently. She learned it from her grandfather.
Kalt Ìsson
*sniffs sadly*
What's wrong? You don't have the Irrisen cold, do you?
;)
Lana Shahakh
I wasn't invited!
Though speaking of the Irrisen cold, I /was/ wondering what would happen if I cast accept affliction on the guy we're talking to right now... :P
Kalt Ìsson
In all fairness, how could we possibly invite you to Everyone But Oladoncon Part II? We'd have to rename it!
Unless you're trying to say you're coming? It's Feb 13-16
DM Ranginui
Are you folks going to Paizocon?
I think I would prefer to go to that instead (if it's not sold out already).
Kalt Ìsson
I'm going to PaizoCon. I wouldn't miss it. It is not sold out, because there have been no announcements other than the dates and hotel.
Kalt Ìsson
Excellent. I'll see you there, my younger offspring in tow.
DM Ranginui
I claim innocence on the matter of this riddle.
DM Ranginui
Ah, it just occurred to me:
Do any of you playing desire a PFS cert for the last game? Some folks are into that sort of thing.
Kalt Ìsson
Ah, it just occurred to:

Totally yes! How many XP is a chronicle for such a thing? Haven't dealt with that before. And you'll need a particular character's PFS # to apply that to, right?
Shanya
Uh...
...
...
...what?
Anyway, I'm kinda waiting for Avora to chime in with some aid for Kalt on Knowledge (Nature). Being that she and him were the only ones to notice it...
DM Ranginui
You can get Pathfinder Society Chronicle sheets for playing part of an AP or a module - 3 PP, 4XP, gold varies depending on the level. They are all set to approximately the adventure level, but you can always apply it to a 1st level character (~1300 gp in that case. Have to look it up)
For this particular adventure, it is 8,712 gp (normal track), access to emberchill and a "mantle of the black rider" boon - which is a stacking boon that seems pretty nice. Apply to a level 5-7 (or apply it to a character and "save it" until they get to that level).
For snows of summer, it is 1,398 gp, another mantle boon, and the spear of manhunting (which is a pretty neat item). Apply it to a level 1-2 character.
Since you folks played in both, I can get you chronicles for both (although
Avora Teremocles
::shrug:: Sure, if you don't mind the effort of filling them out. I've got a few characters I could apply them to.
DM Ranginui
Well, go ahead and post the PFS numbers you would like them applied to if you are interested.
Ankih Tohep
awesome. Thanks. XD
Could I get the higher one applied to Ebon Kai of the Skoan Quah, 4141-1
and the lower one to Kenri Halid Brookmere, 4141-3
That would be great.
XD
Avora Teremocles
Apply the lower one to 44335-4, please, and the higher to 44335-5.
Kalt Ìsson
Please apply the Snows of Summer chronicle to 80015-9. Have to think about the other one.
Kalt Ìsson
Please apply the higher-level chronicle to 80015-6. Thanks for doing!
DM Ranginui
It's an open ended problem, if that encourages people to try things out.
There isn't "a" solution. However, I do encourage knowledge arcana or spellcraft if anyone gets any bright ideas involving getting in the water or flying above - if I didn't make it clear, both are very bad idea. Consider those "boundary conditions".
DM Ranginui
Well, Ratibor the bold suggested it. And the word of a soul bound Iobarian warlord has got to mean something right?
In seriousness: The raven oracles are giving you clues: what to look for, where to look for it, when to look for it.
The symbol for "dragon"
Matching riddle: “This amulet holds only one of the three clues you seek. It reveals the first ingredient for Baba Yaga’s kettle. Look for
this key where time catches up to us all.”
and
“Look for the Mother when the moon is full!”
The symbol for "gold"
Matching riddle: "You have taken upon yourselves a great burden; for that which you desire, the changeling holds. Know this as well: you will find the Crone only when the moon wanes.”
I am currently running this part of the adventure essentially unmodified. Why did they have to have challenges along with the clues? Hmmm... deeper question.
