Male Dwarf Fighter/2

Thumparr turns to his companions and tries to get their attention. Once he has (assuming he does for at least one of them) he holds up three fingers and points toward the river.
Then he crouches and gets ready to charge.

About how far is he from the boat?

Female Elf Wizard, 3, Per +4, Init +3, AC 13, Fort +2, Ref +4, Will +1 (Familiar: Raven) HP (18)21 (3/8 acid darts)

Tinuviel runs after the dwarf, stopping only when the turn ends or she is less than twenty feet from the giant yellow 'X'.

[ooc]Does the tower have a cap or roof? If so, she tells Kvothe to perch there (because the goblin(s) would be below at the battlements). If it's just battlements and no roof (really bad for drainage, you just know there's pools of standing water) then she tells Kvothe to circle above.

female elf cleric

I think we're rolling perception to try to see the thing, right? 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23 OOOH! I see it! Or I just wasted another good roll. Anyway.

In the scale armor, there is little hope of stealth, so Menelei moves quickly, bow ready. Advancing towards the unknown creature, she catches a glimpse of a shadow in the moonlight. A shadow that doesn't belong to the wall. She draws the bow back, aiming at the shape in the darkness.

"Over there!" she hisses under her breath.

Eyotah whispers to the others "I might be able to get close enough to shoot it. You help the dwarf.". With that she ducks into the shadows next to the diminutive halfling, peering at the tower, trying to make out the goblin's silhouette before moving close enough for a clear shot with her shortbow (Move to within 30', using gravestones for cover where possible).

Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
Stealth: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13

Perception +300 at night when finding mouse

Okay, player by player. Forgive any mistakes. DM is a lot of work!

Thumparr:
You are 97.3333 (repeating) ft from the tip of the boat.

Tunuviel:
The tower has no roof. Your raven is now in perfect dive-bomb position. At 60 ft you can now see everything Thumparr can see (with the Man in the boat and the two goblins and all)

Menelei:
You spot the thing moving in the shadows exactly as you described. As it moves toward you, you see It's the biggest Goblin you've ever seen. Skin purple instead of green. It rides atop a giant hairless Goblin Dog whose head looks more like an over-sized rat than a canine.

DC13 Dungeoneering about what Menelei sees:

Eyotah:
I think you meant 30' of the tower right?goblin perception VS your stealth roll: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (12) - 1 = 11. You sneak right up 30' from the tower. The Archer hasn't seen you due to your stealthy stealthness

Dairkal:
Nothing happens to you because you haven't done anything.

----------------Round 1------------------

Goblin Dragoon:
Realizing it's been spotted by the filthy she-elf, the Goblin Dragoon turns toward Menelei. And Charges! Dragoon ride check: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24. attack: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 4 + 2 = 20. He jousts her to the ground...poor elfen cleric!!! damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Man and 2 Goblins in the boat:
Continue to secure the rigging for launch. Looks like they are trying to make a gettaway

Goblin Archer in the tower:
Takes a pot shot at Tinuviel who has bravely ran out in the open. It's a 200ft shot. 1d20 + 4 - 4 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 4 - 4 - 2 = 0 (the -4 is for range, -2 for strength penalty) VS AC(13) And misses wildly. dang, your lucky he didn't accidently shoot strait up and hit your bird!

PC's turn.

Perception +300 at night when finding mouse

Menelei, you actually take double damage because you are charged from a mounted lance. You are dying...[hp -3/9].

Perception +300 at night when finding mouse

Dice couldn't have worked out any better as far as the Romance theme is concerned, hehe

Foxglove's Round 1 actions:
Dwarf Aldern yells cover us for Desna's sake! He moves as fast as possible to Menelei's side, almost catching her falling body. Deftly he retrieves a bottle of glowing blue liquied, pops the cork with his teeth, and administers the healing potion to the girl. HP restored: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8. Menelei opens her eyes, the din of combat all around her, and she is staring up into the face of Aldern Foxglove. Come back, damn you, this is no time to by lying down on the job! We need your godess' help now!

Male Halfling Swashbuckler 8/Magus8(Kensai,)/Investigator8(Questioner)

Dairkal tumbles past the Goblin Rider 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19 Acrobatics, coming up on the other side of it, then lashes at the rider 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17 for 1d4 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + (2) = 4

"Filthy vermin! Hands off the lovely elf!"

female elf cleric

I seem to have accomplished quite a lot by getting run over. I don't quite know whether I get to act this round or not. I'll assume that I do, but if not, just push this back to next round.

Laying down on the job? I just had a lance shoved through my belly. Didn't I? A quick glance down reveals that, despite the bloody gouge in her armor, she seems fairly unimpaled. That and the aftertaste of healing potion tells her all she needs to know, and she smiles at the grizzled warrior.

"How can I thank you, sir? You have surely saved my life and...." She forgot what she was going to say as the halfling somersaulted past and sprang to his feet with blood on his sword. Oh right, fighting for our lives. Hopping to her feet herself, she draws her rapier.

Standing provokes. Please, dice, don't kill me again. Drawing a weapon doesn't. Both are move actions, so that's my round. The good news is, I should be giving Dairkal flanking.

Perception +300 at night when finding mouse

No way. I stayed up all night and called the pathfinder-GM-in-trouble hotline for help finding a rule that would keep Menelei alive. Check out this jewel: She's is in an adjacent square and although the Dragoon get's AOO he's got a Lance. Which is a reach weapon.

CRB pg. 141:
Reach Weapons: Glaives, guisarmes, lances, longspears, ranseurs, and whips are reach weapons. A reach weapon is a melee weapon that allows its wielder to strike at targets that aren't adjacent to him. Most reach weapons double the wielder's natural reach, meaning that a typical Small or Medium wielder of such a weapon can attack a creature 10 feet away, but not a creature in an adjacent square. A typical Large character wielding a reach weapon of the appropriate size can attack a creature 15 or 20 feet away, but not adjacent creatures or creatures up to 10 feet away.

His dog might paw at you a bit. Whatever. But you definately give Dair flanking...He's about to shwak the bastards good. I'm just too tierd to resolve the attack tonight!

female elf cleric

I figured I'd be able to take the hit since he wasn't charging, but then I realized I'm at 5 hp, not 8. That changes things. Somebody get the damned cle ... oh.

Female Elf Wizard, 3, Per +4, Init +3, AC 13, Fort +2, Ref +4, Will +1 (Familiar: Raven) HP (18)21 (3/8 acid darts)

Oh dear, Tinuviel thought, That is one very large goblin and it looks as though the pretty lady is in trouble. Well, we can not have that!

Boo runs to within thirty feet of the mounted goblin.

She will throw an acid dart at him when she gets to within thirty feet (next turn, I hope)

Eyotah glances behind her at the commotion surrounding Menelei. She's got help it seems, but the group might offer a tempting target. So... She aims carefully at the goblin on top of the tower, using a gravestone as cover. However, at the last moment something on the river side of the tower seems to distract it and the arrow whistles past harmlessly (though it does ruffle the feathers of a raven that seems to be flying past).

Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Male Dwarf Fighter/2

"I know it be a long way, but I'm headin' fer the boat! Can't let 'em get away!" Thumparr says to Tinuviel and takes off at a sprint (a dwarven sprint) heading for the boat.

How long will it take him to get there? When in range, he will hurl his hand axe.

Perception +300 at night when finding mouse

thumparr:
I see what you are trying to do. Here is what we'll do: they boat is about to shove off. You can make it to the shore as a full round action by sprinting (moving quadrupal your speed) but the Archer will take 2 pot shots at you. You could then throw your axe on the following turn as a standard action. Also on that turn as a move action option for you: it will be a DC10 Acrobatics check to jump aboard, or a DC10 swim check (basically wading out after them). Each round after this one the DC to jump or swim to the boat will increase +10. The river gets deep fast here!

Eyotah:
[ooc] I love your narration! The game feels so much less railroaded to me when players add narrative like this. goblin perception check to spot you: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (12) - 1 = 11 is still less than your 13 stealth, so he knows someone shot an arrow at him but still can't see you. DC15 to climb the tower. But also, i wonder how the Goblin got up there in the first place? squak! Watch where you shoot that thing says the Raven in elvish!

Menelei:
Goblin dog's AOO for you getting up: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17, is less than your AC The Goblin dog lashes out with festering teeth. It misses, but damn that thing has bad breath!

tinuveil:
Only takes one move action to get to where you indicated (see the map scale) so you can fire your dart at him this turn...go ahead an post your attack and damage rolls for me:)

dair:
Acrobatics check easily keeps you from AOO as you tumble by. Your daggar sinks into (the dog or the goblin, your choice, let me know which one. Also can you post how much damage you do considering the flanking? I don't have time to calculate it:)

Female Elf Wizard, 3, Per +4, Init +3, AC 13, Fort +2, Ref +4, Will +1 (Familiar: Raven) HP (18)21 (3/8 acid darts)

Tinuviel hurls a dart of poisonous green at the large goblin without breaking stride. 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 for 1d6 ⇒ 3 damage. She screeches to a halt and then readies her quarterstaff.

Goblin:
"Give up. You're about to die to no purpose here!" she demands.

She gives her fiercest glare. Intimidation 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (8) - 1 = 7

Alas, Tinuviel just isn't very scary or good at throwing acid darts sometimes.

Perception +300 at night when finding mouse

The Goblin ducks the Acid dart, then hisses with an amused laugh at the ferocious elf-wizard. Maybe after we kill this elf I kill that one, eh Humphry? he says, patting his hideous dog 'Humphry' on the neck. It makes an odd sound. Is it laughing? Intimidate Goblin Dragoon: DC10

Goblin:
"You can struggle if you like. You are still doomed, you nasty goblin you!

Tinuviel then flings yet another acid dart at the big mean goblin. 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6 for 1d6 ⇒ 5 of damage.

She does a little hop of frustration.

"Gah! Just die you mean thing you!"

female elf cleric

1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9

Menelei threatens the goblin with her rapier, but is too shaken up to get any strength behind the thrust. The tip slides uselessly off the creature's armor.

Eyotah hisses to herself at the miss and takes more careful aim this time...

Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Male Dwarf Fighter/2

Thumparr raises his shield and runs balls out for the shore and then when he can, he hurls his axe at the human in the boat.

Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

Growling in frustration, Thumparr leaps for the boat. "HEE-YAH!"

Can he take 10 on the Acrobatics? If not, here is his roll 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18

All 200+ pounds of Dwarf and gear land in the boat and Thumparr growls, "Jump or die, you fraggin' gobbos!"
Intimidate: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12

If he has any further actions that turn, he will pull his hammer and prepare to clear the boat or die trying!

Perception +300 at night when finding mouse

Wow! That dwarf can fly! I hope you don't kill my villain in the first encounter, lol!

taking 10 rule:
You can't take 10 during combat: From CRB: Taking 10: When your character is not in immediate danger or distracted, you may choose to take 10. Instead of rolling 1d20 for the skill check, calculate your result as if you had rolled a 10. For many routine tasks, taking 10 makes them automatically successful. Distractions or threats (such as combat) make it impossible for a character to take 10. In most cases, taking 10 is purely a safety measure—you know (or expect) that an average roll will succeed but fear that a poor roll might fail, so you elect to settle for the average roll (a 10). Taking 10 is especially useful in situations where a particularly high roll wouldn't help.

GM Dice Rolls:

Goblin Perception Check against Eyotah's 13 stealth: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (20) - 1 = 19
Villian Dex Check making sure the dwarf's impact doesn't knock him off the boat!: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
goblin 1 swim check DC12: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
goblin 2 swim check DC12: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Aldern's Round 2 Attack: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 5 + 2 = 10 +2 for flanking
Aldern's Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

SO....

Eyotah:
The Goblin in the watchtower spots Eyotah! I seez you longshanks it says, notching an arrow does notching have a 'k'? hehe

Thumparr:
The dwarf jumps the 10 feet from the shore to the boat. We choose jump, we choose jump! squeel the goblins at Thumparr's ultimatum. They leap overboard. The first goes underwater, the other swims frantically toward the opposite shore. Must get away! it babbles Must tell Nualia about big dwarf! The man is momentarily destabilized but regains his balance. Sweet Lamashtu's Mammories! he says staring at the dwarf in surprise!

-------------Aldern's round 2 actions--------------
Aldern draws a curved blade from somewhere under his longtailed jacket, then swipes feebly at the Goblin Dog's leg but misses. Hm, I wonder if we are in over our heads...Wizard don't you have some spell that can bust this creep up???

I'll give Dair a few hours to wake up from last nights' parties and post his round 2 actions, then I'll post Goblin round 3:) Nothing keeps characters from roll playing in the mean time! YOU'LLS FIST PATHFINDER COMBAT OF 2013!

Female Elf Wizard, 3, Per +4, Init +3, AC 13, Fort +2, Ref +4, Will +1 (Familiar: Raven) HP (18)21 (3/8 acid darts)

Tinuviel tries throwing another acid dart. 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19 for 1d6 ⇒ 4 damage.

She promptly does a small dance of glee, then sobers because the fight isn't over yet.

Male Halfling Swashbuckler 8/Magus8(Kensai,)/Investigator8(Questioner)

Not sure if Tin's action resolves before mine or not

Having already dealt the goblin a solid blow, Dair attempts to end him 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9 However, the grimy little bugger is able to duck his blow.

Female Elf Wizard, 3, Per +4, Init +3, AC 13, Fort +2, Ref +4, Will +1 (Familiar: Raven) HP (18)21 (3/8 acid darts)

I mistakenly thought the gobbies went already. Boo is going to do teh exact same thing when it really is her turn to go.

Perception +300 at night when finding mouse

Dice just aren't nice today...unless you are a dwarf:)[ooc]

[ooc]Also, forgot the two arrow shots the goblin in the tower makes at Thumparr while he was running for the boat:

1d20 + 4 - 4 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 4 - 4 - 2 = 5
1d20 + 4 - 4 - 2 ⇒ (11) + 4 - 4 - 2 = 9

which both miss. That guy sucks at shooting arrows. Shoulda put a hobgoblin up there!

------------------Round 3-------------------------

Goblin Dragoon:
Ride check: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19 < 20. The Goblin's dog is really getting spooked and it turns a 180 while the Dragoon tugs on the 'reigns' trying to right it so it can attack Menelei. it can't attack again this round.

goblins in the water:
swim check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 swim check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 The first goblin doesn't come back up from underwater and the second sputters and goes under also...They keep trying to make their way across the river

man in the boat:
Draws a nasty looking rapier and makes a skilled lunge 'bonetti's defence' at Thumparr attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10, but the lunge only glances off Thumparr's sheild. Thumparr you will need a dexterity check, or reflex save to balance in the boat at the start of your next turn DC10 Thumparr can now see the body in the boat is a Priest in burial robes of Desna.

archer in the tower:
Now that he sees her he looses a black goblin arrow at Eyotah attack: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (8) + 4 - 2 = 10 no range penalty, but misses again. Stupid Goblins suck at shooting arrows.

Thrusts at the goblin again... 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9 ...missing completely again. You were saying about the dice? Same roll as last round. Take that, air!
Sees that the goblin is struggling with his mount and takes the opportunity to grab her bow off the ground and take a step back. At least I have some skill with the bow.
It looks like Aldern will give Dairkal flanking. Picking up the bow is a move action but not a move (though it does provoke ... hoping he's unable to make AoOs because he's trying not to fall off his critter) so I can take a 5' step back.

Male Dwarf Fighter/2

Reflex save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

"Sonuva..." Thumparr curses, stumbling and falling before he can attack.

F#@$ING DICE ROLLER!

Male Halfling Swashbuckler 8/Magus8(Kensai,)/Investigator8(Questioner)

Is the goblin dog actually frightened or is that just descriptive text? Because if it is in fact frightened(Not the condition per se, I don't think), then the Dragoon draws AoOs from trying to control it

Perception +300 at night when finding mouse

The dog is shaken

shaken:
from CRB, Shaken: A shaken character takes a –2 penalty on attack rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks. Shaken is a less severe state of fear than frightened or panicked.
. The dog will take these penalties if it attacks, but the Dragoon's not scared at all. I think he likes this. He takes no penalties. I don't see where either frightened or shaken gives AOO, but if you find it in the CRB, let me know and post your attack rolls! Remember to add +2 to all attacks for the flanking.

Male Halfling Swashbuckler 8/Magus8(Kensai,)/Investigator8(Questioner)

AoOs:

The chart on the SRD, about actions in combat and if they prove says: Control a frightened mount, Yes. As I said, I do not know if it's the actual condition, especially if you read the section about Mounted Combat. Under that, it says a non combat trained animal is afraid of combat. It's your call if it's frightened enough for an AoO, but I'll post the attack if it provokes, just in case.

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26 AoO possible Crit

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10 No confirm. 1d4 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + (2) = 5

Perception +300 at night when finding mouse

Hm...I think you are right Dair. Since i've been having the dog make 'ride checks' it must be an untrained dog. In that case, the AOO hits, the Dragoon slumps in the saddle and then falls to the ground dying [-1/12 HP].

That also means I should have made the Dragoon do a 'push check' to see if he could make the dog charge Menelei at the beginning of the battle. Sorry! Thanks for looking up the rules for us Dair.

I think Eyotah gets a Round 3 turn, will apply it when she posts. In the mean time

----------------Round 4 Goblin Actions-------------------

Watchtower archer:
Takes another shot at Eyotah 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (15) + 4 - 2 = 17 and hits! 1d6 ⇒ 1 Eyotah get's to pick where that arrow landed, haha!

swimming goblins:
swim checks: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 241d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11 Goblin 1 finally emerges gasping for breath. The other is still struggling under water. Both have moved to about half way across the river. The current is carrying them south.

man in boat:
Thumparr finds him self prone, nose to nose with the burial shroud of the corpse. Yuck. Seeing his opportunity to get away from the dwarf the man leaps from the boat to follow the Goblins swim check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17I think he will get away...unless you want to swim after him! You saved the body if you can row it back to shore! That's outside the Adventure Path so surely it will reveal juicy clues about what's going on:)

goblin dog:
It's master having slumped off of him, the dog runs south to the wall and cowers there, growling lowly. It looks as pittiable as such an ugly untrained beast can look. that is if it survives everyone's AOO! Post them with your round 4 actions if you want to swipe at the dog...

Eyotah takes aim at the goblin again, this time standing to get the best possible shot. She releases the arrow just as the goblin lets fly at her. The arrows streak past each other and her arrow strikes the small creature in its shoulder, whilst the goblin's arrow skims her cheek, drawing forth a thin stream of blood. Wincing, Eyotah releases another arrow at the goblin and again the arrow flies true.

Perception +300 at night when finding mouse

The goblin falls dying. Eyotah hears the wooden sound of it's composite bow clattering on the stone at the top of the tower.

perception check DC15:
You notice behind the thick ivy that climbs the side of the tower, a low archway leading to a precarious set of wooden steps spiraling up the inside of the tower to the battlement. That must be how the Goblin got up there...

Thumparr puts a crossbow bolt in the man's back as a last Hoorah. The current carries the man out of sight.

Tinuviel arrives at the bank just as Thumparr is rowing the boat back in.
--------------------End Combat------------------

Aldern steps up and helps the dwarf pull the boat onto the beach. He looks at the body. There is a SYMBOL carved through the burial garments and into the flesh of the poor man.

Aldern: It's the remains of Ezakien Tobyn, the former priest of Desna here in Sandpoint before the old Cathedral burned down. Sheriff Hemlock's special investigators concluded the fire was started by his foster-daughter, a women named Nualia. I don't know much more than that. We'd better inform the Sheriff about what we've seen here.

I'm not sure the best way to dole out xp and rewards in PBP. I doubt you all want to search every Goblin. Let me know if this method is fun or if we should do things a little differently!

Eyotah:
At the top of the tower you find an unconscious goblin, still breathing, but bleeding bad from your arrow. Beside him is a composite short bow (+3 str mod). It's worth 300gp at least.

anyone standing near the dead Goblin Dragoon:
Upon the body of the pink goblin you fine a potion of cure moderate wounds worth 450gp, and the hidieous blade he used: a Masterwork HorseChopper (it's the same as a mwk longsword accept it's ugly, jagged, festering...perfect for some sick character to use i'm sure!). The Goblin's lance is also lying nearby

those near/on the boat find:
In his haste the cowardly humanoid left a backpack. Inside are 500gp, surely merc money for the Goblins. Also there is a curious neclace: pearls strung together, with a centerpiece seashell of great beauty. Looking at it seems to draw your attention mysteriously and you can almost hear the faint sound of a women singing in your head when you gaze upon it. The necklace is unidentified

You'll have to roll play to decide who gets what treasure, Mwahaha

Aldern Foxglove's boons:
You have all fought bravely says Foxglove. I invite each of you to join me at your convenience at the Red Dragon Inn. I shall pay for your boarding there 5 days. I also would like to reward you financially for aiding me tonight. One more thing: I am a well connected man and am aware of several wealthy patrons in this area who would die to have the opportunity to purchase the services of an adventuring party such as yourselves...you do all know each other right? Are you an official party?

With that, he shakes each of your hands offering you gratitude. With the exception of Menelei, whose hand he gently kisses in the fashion of proper respectable nobility. you owe me no life, lady he says 'twas only the proper thing to do. Then he whistles to his dog, and heads north, around the cathedral, dissappearing out of sight.

Collectively for these two encounters you have all earned 2200xp:

Goblin Warchanter: 200xp
Goblins X4: 500xp
Dragoon: 200xp
Dim light: 400xp (you didn't kill the dog)
Firework prevention: 400xp
Thwarting the grave robber: 500xp

We are on the fast advancement track, so level 2 will be 1300xp. This is a fat horde to hook you into the game and because i've had so much fun with you'll so far...

You are now in the sandbox of Sandpoint. Remember the map and key are on the campaign info thread. I will keep a running list of the quests you've showed interest in there too so you can all decide what to do. Again, you will have to roll play to decide what you do next, mwahaha!

Male Halfling Swashbuckler 8/Magus8(Kensai,)/Investigator8(Questioner)

So we leveled right? or am I seriously missing something?

Dair shakes the nobleman's hand "Uh, thanks. I've been staying at the Rusty Dragon for the last few months, since I arrived in Sandpoint. But I appreciate you offering to pay for several more days." He doesn't sound ungrateful, just wary.

Perception +300 at night when finding mouse

No, 2200 divided by 5 characters. Dair, you get 440xp. The party just completed 2 CR3 encounters.

female elf cleric

"An official party? Well ... um ... thank you," Menelei says, though the human has gone. That was brilliant. At least he didn't stick around to hear you babble like an idiot. Don't do this again. Wasn't the last time enough? It might be too late. The butterflies seem to have taken up residence inside her, and she feels a warm flush spreading over her cheeks.

She picks up the potion and the blade, with a final kick for the fallen dragoon, heads back towards the village. He saved your life, that's all. A few ales and you won't even remember him.

Female Elf Wizard, 3, Per +4, Init +3, AC 13, Fort +2, Ref +4, Will +1 (Familiar: Raven) HP (18)21 (3/8 acid darts)

"I'm here in town, with my aunt and uncle." but the dashing human was gone. He only had paid attention to the pretty cleric anyway.

There just isn't any way for a working elf to get ahead. Boo thought bitterly. Why can't life be more straight forward? I'm young, not unattractive and I like most people. Except goblins. And orcs. And that whateveritwas back in Riddleport. But except for those I like people. Perhaps the inn had those clever little drinks, the ones with the gnome devices in them? What were they called? Oh yes, umbrellas. The situation definitely called for a fruity drink with an umbrella in it. If they didn't have umbrellas, maybe they would have white wine? Life was always better with wine and maybe some cheese?

"Is anyone up for a drink?" Boo asked as she headed towards the tavern.

Male Dwarf Fighter/2

"Aye, Tin - I'm up fer one. Right after we talk to the Sheriff. And we need to go check on this dead feller's foster daughter too - Nualia. When I was heading to the boat, I overheard 'em mention her name - like she was somebody important to report to. I figure we catch up with her, she can answer some questions fer us. Ye know where we might find her, Aldern?"

I have the same question about the XP - the 2200 was group xp right?

Perception +300 at night when finding mouse

Yup, 2200 is group XP. So Thumparr get's 440xp. I'll post Individual XP from now on to avoid confusion. The Party must figure out how to split the treasure. I think the cleric is making off with the best stuff! Here is the treasure again so everyone knows (Prices are estimates. I don't know what the local shop owners will give you for this stuff):

treasure horde:
-Composite sortbow +3 strengh mod, Eyotah has it now and she's up in the tower===>300gp?
-Goblin Horsecopper (same as mwk longsword but uglier), Menelei picked it up and is walking off.===>400gp?
-Potion of cure moderate wound, Menelei picked it up and is walking off. (2d8 hp)===>450
-Lance, still on the ground by the dead Dragoon.===>about 50gp?
-Backpack sitting open in the boat. Inside you can see about 500gp, and a Fabulous pearl necklace with seashell centerpiece. It makes you hear a women singing in your mind when you look at it:)
-Aldern's covers rooms at the Red Dragon for 5 days
-Aldern promises a financial reward for your help, meet him at the Red Dragon.
-Aldern says he has patrons that could use strong arms for hire.

As with any treasure horde, an appraise check might tell you what is truly the most valuable artifact.

Perception +300 at night when finding mouse

Aldern hearing check: 1d20 - 4 ⇒ (14) - 4 = 10 Thumparr asks about Nualia but Aldern is already too far out the North cemetary gate to hear. Perhapse he could be asked over a drink at the Red Dragon? Or perhapse someone else knows more about this 'Nualia.'
