All the mirrors reek of necromancy. Weird. Dead mirrors?

Darn, I knew I was going to get penalized somewhere in here. The boost was nice while it lasted. :)

Erp, says Azalia, dumbfounded. She backpedals, getting as far from the duplicates as possible.

When she shakes it off a little, she yells back at herself

Honor? When did I claim to have honor? Goodness and honor are very different things, and sometimes the "honorable" thing is the dumbest thing. Like burying a man with a magic sword for instance. The guy's dead... no need to waste the sword. So, okay, I get it. Have a funeral, honor his life, but afterward, if some good person can put that sword to use, how is that a bad thing? It might not be honorable, but it is good. It helps people.

You can tell that Azalia has put a lot of thought into graverobbing. She might also be a little unnerved by facing several copies of herself that are all accusing her and wanting to kill her. Her conscience is going into overdrive.

"What."

Marten shakes his head to clear his thoughts and casts telekinetic charge on Ferocia, swinging her into the room, around the corner, and towards the northern most Azalia.

This gives Ferocia a free attack at +2 and positions her for a full attack.

"Once these two mirrors are dealt with, stay on either side of the room!" he calls to the dwarves. "Each wall is lined with more mirrors!"

Switching bardic performance to Inspire Greatness on both Drazh and Ferocia. Thanks to Lingering Performance, Inspire Courage +3 effect is still ongoing. Haste on party and 5ft step east.

Inspire Greatness (Su):
A bard of 9th level or higher can use his performance to inspire greatness in himself or a single willing ally within 30 feet, granting extra fighting capability. For every three levels a bard attains beyond 9th, he can target one additional ally while using this performance (up to a maximum of four at 18th level). To inspire greatness, all of the targets must be able to see and hear the bard. A creature inspired with greatness gains 2 bonus Hit Dice (d10s), the commensurate number of temporary hit points (apply the target’s Constitution modifier, if any, to these bonus Hit Dice), a +2 competence bonus on attack rolls, and a +1 competence bonus on Fortitude saves. The bonus Hit Dice count as regular Hit Dice for determining the effect of spells that are Hit Dice dependent. Inspire greatness is a mind-affecting ability and it relies on audible and visual components.

Enemy Drazh should have AC35. 154HP and 28 temp. So 3 attacks will hit.

Total damage to enemy Drazh, assuming it isn’t evil: 37 - 1 + 2 + 38 - 1 + 5 + 42 - 1 + 2 + 39 - 1 + 6 + 38 - 1 + 2 + 34 - 1 + 3 + 3 = 245

This wasn’t a fair fight. Drazh and his mirror image were equal in every way...except that the real Drazh had his friends by his side. Craydon’s whip was everywhere, and the arcane power of his comrades filled Drazh, pushing him far beyond his own potential. His hammer was faster and more accurate than anything the mirror image could match. The real hammer impacted with the mirror’s mithril armor again and again. The return blows that would have hit the real Drazh were being turned away by Craydon, allowing the real Drazh to focus on the offense. It didn’t take long for the mirror image to be vanquished. When it fell, Drazh grinned and spat on the ground. ”Ha! A’ight. Who’se next?”

Anyway, Marten casts cold ice strike on his duplicate and then follows it up with a magic missile.

A succesful DC 17 *Fort* save avoids being dazed for a round and halves the sonic damage. Then moves 30ft right up to Mirror Marten - and Creydon's anti-mage close combat feats come into play.

Disruptive (Combat): The DC to cast spells defensively increases by +4 for all enemies that are within your threatened area. First, the enemies must make a DC 25 Will save against shadow evocation to determine the "strength" of the spell. Whether they pass or fail this check, they need to make another DC 25 Reflex save against dragon's breath (its DC is keyed to shadow evocation).

(A) If they fail both the first save and the second, full damage (46).
(B) If they succeed at the first check but fail the second, dragon's breath is only 34% as effective (15 damage)
(C) If they fail the first check but succeed at the second, half damage (23).
(D) If they succeed at both checks, 34% of half (7 damage).

And every one of my attacks hit. I think that will take down Mirror Drazh

A flurry of blows came at Drazh. Luckily for him, Craydon was there. Thanks to the halfling, each and every blow was turned away. This allowed the real Drazh to go on the offensive. And as he knew exactly how he fought, it was simple to counter himself. All the more so as Craydon opened up weaknesses for the real Drazh to exploit. ”Isn’t this place great? I’m learning so much here. So long as we don’t die, this is the bloody best training I’ve ever had.”

Sighing once again that nobody is addressing the problem of the mirrors, Marten directs his attention to the south as he pulls a scroll of wall of stone out of his handy haversack.

"It's up to me to solve the immediate problem once again," he thinks to himself after he casts the scroll at the other mirror.

debilitating portent. No save. Each time the spell’s subject makes an attack or casts a spell, it must succeed at a DC 22 Will saving throw. If it fails the saving throw, it deals half damage with the attack or spell. Immediate action can dismiss the spell to negate a crit, which still hits but deals half damage.

Azalia is satisfied, and also a bit relieved, when the false Anneka falls. She then moves out into the hallway again, but she has no idea which Ferocia and which Drazh are real, so she can't exactly shoot at them. She hears Creydon saying to smash the mirrors, but they both look covered in rock... and she wasn't going to try for the one near Drazh anyway. It would be her life to get anywhere near that battle.

So, since she can't do anything useful for the party, she walks over to see if there is anything shiny around the corner.

"Well.

"That was a bit of excitement, eh? My doppelganger almost dispatched us post-haste, yes? Fortunately, Ferocia, Mr. Clay, and I eliminated that threat rather quickly."

Marten thanks both Ferocia and Creydon for their help with a single gracious nod, and then continues to gaze at them -- almost suspiciously -- for far longer than is comfortable.

"Anyway, I'm glad the other reflections didn't cause anyone too much trouble before I was able to neutralize the mirrors. Let's move on."

”Heh, that must be it. Nay other explanation makes sense. Next time we should leave ye alone to play with it then.” Drazh said, unable to hide his smile. Even though he was fairly badly bruised from fighting his own evil twin.

"It was still very dangerous, Drazh," Marten says testily. "Ferocia's and Mr. Clay's assistance freed me up to neutralize the source of the threat that much sooner."

Marten pointedly looked Drazh up and down before he adds, "Much to everyone's benefit."

Having finally gotten under Marten’s skin, Drazh let out a self-congratulatory laugh. ”Haha! Aye, aye. ‘Sall good, boyo. Here, I’ll scout ahead. As thanks for saving me.” Still smirking he turned to leave, before Maren did something extreme like turn him into a newt.

Ha ha. No idea yet. :)

The corridor opens into an immense cathedral of polished ivory flagstones. Mirrored walls rise to a height of nearly a hundred feet, where the vaulted ceiling arches majestically. Four immense chandeliers hang from golden chains and brightly illuminate the entire room. At the center of the cathedral, a three-step dais of polished wood supports a peacock the size of a wyvern, its feathers spread regally behind it. The creature's eyes seem to hold a great depth of wisdom and intelligence.

A human male dressed in blues and purples stands in this area... as do seven identical other men. To Azalia they all have strong illussion auras.
