The realization hit him harder than the golem, and a small spark of the anger which had dominated him returned. Rather than being slowed, a serious look crossed his face and he began moving faster than ever. His hammer sang a song of destruction as he went to work showing the golem’s creator exactly what awaited it once they found him.

You were flat footed so your AC would have been four lower for those attacks. Also you have two fort saves DC25, each one failed is -9 dexterity... if he fails both his AC might be down by 9 as he'd have a dexterity of 1
Edit: Since he's turning you to stone I'd accept the dexterity damage as transmutation effects. I think you'd have to decide before rolling the save

Okay, I was going to try to dispel it if it was in effect. I don't have much I can do directly to this golem. Does Drazh have any enhancement bonuses to his Constitution? Marten could cast bear's endurance on him, which should add 28 hp and a further +2 to Con saves. I could also do that spell to someone else, but Drazh seems to be the target for now.

What does the area look like where we first appeared in Runeforge?

"This domed chamber is nearly two hundred feet across. A large pool of bubbling prismatic liquid occupies the center of a raised dais in the middle of the chamber. The spiky flanges of the sevenpointed Sihedron are engraved into the marble floor. Each tip of the enormous rune points at a twenty-five-foot-tall statue facing the pool with its back approximately ten feet from a partially concealed arched opening in the wall directly behind it. Each statue depicts a different figure, but all are imperious and finely detailed."-The statue of Karzoug has obviously been smashed up since.

Hey, while we're figuring out how to get out of here, I know that you can make magic weapons, right? I want to make a weapon runeforged, but I don't think I have anything good enough. What do you think? Can you make me something cool with all of that dwarven weapons knowledge I've heard of?

His father, a master in his own right, had told him long ago that magic was in everything. It followed its own rules, more oppressive than a Deurgar and more fickle than a goblin. Most people learned how to bind it using their own will, and channeled it using their own body. But the greatest of Dwarven smiths, they controlled it and they bound it in stone and steel.

Working the forge, he opened his eyes with the light of Torag. For a moment he could see the weapons before him in a new light. The first bow was created to be the bane of the undead. The second held within it the spark of a storm, and the third a sliver of a wildfire. The magic within was not something that he could see, like a mage would, but it was something he could feel. The magic was bound, but given his tools and the power of this place, he knew that he could control it. That he could release the power and bind it anew.

For hours he worked, chanting prayers to Torag that he didn’t know that he knew. And as he worked, he inscribed a rune. ᛏᛟᚱᚨᚷᛋ᛫ᛒᛚᛖᛋᛋᛜ

Each line was like a channel, causing the magic to flow. In a fashion...for he was no archmage line Marten, nor could he even replicate a spell like Anneka, or force the winds of magic to dance to his will like Azalia or Creydon. Rather, he could feel the ‘soul’ of the bow, much like how a sculptor might see a statue in rough stone. And the runes merely brought out the full potential. He didn’t so much as force his will upon the weapon, but instead willed the weapon to be all that it could be...at least to the limit of his skill.

When he was done, he came back to Azalia covered in sweat but with a huge smile on his face. ”T’was an honor, lass. I cannot think of greater pride than to reach this zenith of my craft working on a weapon for someone as worthy as ye. I hope that it meets your standards.”

While Drazh spends a few hours caressing a bow, Ferocia tries to figure out if the statues have a trick to them, like the ones that brought them here in the first place. This mostly amounts to her poking them, kicking them, and transforming into an owl to peck them.

Alas! The statues remain an enigma.

When she gets frustrated, she transforms into a bear and pees all over the crumbled remains of the Karzoug statue.

Stupid runelords.

Holding her new bow and seeing it radiate magic combined in a way that she has never seen before, even though she was born able to see magical auras, Azalia thinks it is the most beautiful thing that she has ever seen in her life.

This... is amazing, Drazh. You do beautiful work. Thank you so much...

After thanking him profusely, Azalia sits down to properly examine the bow and find out exactly what it can do.

I'll post that with my level up over the weekend.

After studying the magical energies and testing the bow to see what it could do, she sets about improving it further by turning it into a runeforged weapon.

On this, do we get to pick, or is it random?

We have the materials to pick one of these two:

GM Kevin O'Rourke wrote:

Dominant/Commanding (opposes transmutation): A union of enchantment and illusion magic, a dominant weapon functions as a bane weapon against transmuters and against creatures with the shapechanger subtype. As long as the weapon is carried, it can absorb up to three harmful transmutation effects (such as baleful polymorph or petrification) inflicted on the wielder per day.

Parasitic/Symbiotic (opposes enchantment): A union of necromancy and transmutation magic, a parasitic weapon functions as a bane weapon against enchanters and against creatures that are charmed, dominated, or otherwise under another creature's magic control. The first time each day that this weapon strikes a creature under the effects of an enchantment spell, it automatically makes a dispel magic attempt to dispel the enchantment. If the attempt is successful, it siphons that energy into the wielder, healing her of 6d6 points of damage (hit points in excess of maximum are gained as temporary hit points that last for 1 hour).

Obviously, a Dominant/Commanding enchant will help against Karzoug, but Creydon wisely created a Parasitic/Symbiotic weapon.

Some time later in Varisia...

Give some time for selling, crafting, probably two months passing by... good length of time. That means a montage

The location of the mythical Mhar Massif is the subject of much speculation amongst the few scholars who know it's name. You consult Brodert Quink, Sandpoint's local expert on all this Thassilon, Pathfinders in Magnimar, the sage staff at the Acadamae, as well as ancient monuments and dusty tomes...

Eventually Marten hears about a rumour of some dwarves who stumbled across the city some time back. With the aid of his allies, particularly Azalia skills you emerge triumphant with a letter from the author of the definitive cyclopedia on the region of Varisia and the Storval Plateau: Cevil "Redwing" Charms's wellknown (and well criticized) volume, Eidolon.

The letter concerns the escapades of two dwarven brothers, Silas and Karivek Vekker, who journeyed into the Kodar Mountains and supposedly discovered the route to Xin-Shalast. Brodert has done his own research and can confirm that Silas and Karivek Vekker did indeed abscond with a fair amount of invested capital into the mountains. The common theory in Janderhoff is that the dwarves used the "discovery of Xin-Shalast" as a cover for a con, but those who knew the Vekkers personally held them in quite high regard.

After some checking around the brothers returned to the Kodar Mountains to prospect once more. You have a more specific location of an outpost they set up there to prospect and mine. As for the location of Xin Shalast the Kodars are huge, known to some in Varisia as "The Worlds Roof", vast and sprawling it is clear why none would have discovered the hidden city especially with the hazards that abound there.

...it is likely some foul end came of the dwarven brothers but perhaps they kept some journals or record of the location of Xin Shalast.

Things had really been moving for the Avertins. With Anneka's infusion of cash into the business, Sandpoint Savories franchises had opened up in Korvosa and Magnimar. Alma and Arika still managed the principal location, but they had hired employees to help, and so they now exercised primarily creative control over recipes and branding. The franchise licenses themselves were also proving lucrative, and so what might have been a costly risk resulted in what was essentially a zero sum venture.

Still, in the weeks that had passed Anneka had shown little interest in the bakery, consumed by the revelations unearthed, if one could pardon the expression, within Runeforge. A fabled, lost city hidden deep within the Kodar mountains? An ancient wizard, powerful beyond comprehension, awoken from a myrioi slumber? And who to stop him, but a band of adventurers from Sandpoint, of all places?

Anneka smiles at the elken sign language. "No, I don't have any gooseberries, if that's what you're asking..." she replies uncertainly.

"What I don't understand," she continues in speech and sign in response to Azalia, "is what keeps Karzoug confined. If he has awoken and is able to accomplish all that he's done, what hasn't he already emerged to, to...reclaim an empire? Destroy the world? Is it something to do with that occlusion field?"

Turning from Ferocia to Anneka so that Anneka can read her lips more easily, Azalia replies

I'm not sure either, really. I do know the sooner we go and take him down the better. Plus, some of those books in the library that were talking about Xin-Shalast. Holy cats. Doors made of solid gold, sized for giants? This I have to see. ... It isn't about the money, of course. Money is just a means to buy magic items... but can you imagine? If we had all that money I could retire and just run a little magic items shop. I've always wanted to do that... well, of course, I mean, I already have done that, sort of, but erm, the one I was running was more like a ... pawn shop, not an upscale place. Maybe I could run a large magic item emporium. Hire some custom crafters... wow, what a life that would be...

... And of course you, and everyone else could do whatever they want to as well.

Azalia is inwardly pleased that she was able to cover up her lapse about being a fence, and that she also remembered to express concern for other people. She didn't want to turn into Marten under the influence of her new dominant weapon. Especially since these people saved her from insanity. They deserved better.

Creydon doesn't hear much new about the Vekkers, those who don't know them but have heard of them call them blow hards spinning tall tales but the few who've actually met them speak only of them as solid, reliable and serious.

He does hear a few tales of mysterious events from all over Varisia. Sandpoint, Magnimar, Korvosa, Kaer Maga and Riddleport all have unusual tales of cults Lissala springing up... lone followers suddenly finding themselves surrounded by those wishing to serve the ancient near forgotten deity. All around people can read the signs of things coming to a head, some throw their lot in with the rising powers. Still for now no organisation on the level Mokmurian was gathering has formed... at least not overtly.

"Not a lot of word around about the Vekkers. Those who know them say they're reliable, serious, and all that."

Drazh was...happy. It was a strange thing to say, but it was true. First he had made Azalia's bow. And then he had worked his skills on Creydon's whip. And the sheer practice of his trade had been so liberating. For the whip, he incorporated the hide of the dragon that had been slain onto the grip, and had etched runes on shards of dragonbone, which had been inserted throughout. The corpse of dragons seemed to be perfect for the harnessing of magic. Ever since he had worked his craft in the runeforge, it had seemed like a new world had opened up to him. He couldn't put his finger on it, but it was as if though he could see the magic within the items so much clearer than he could before. And with that newly honed skill, he found that his mundane crafting could take on a much greater purpose. The boots he made, for example. Using the mithril boots of his own armor as a starting point, he used dragon teeth, one for each foot, and each with a runic word inscribed on it. When the word was spoken, the tooth would come out like a blade, allowing him to deliver deadly kicks. But, when they were still inside, they added to the overall potency of his armor, strengthening it throughout.

For the first time in gods knew how long, he was thinking about what to do when the dust settled and the last drop of blood which was his vengeance was squeezed out. When he could yell his wife's name to the heavens, confident that she would be able to rest in peace. What then? Well. He had the feeling that he wouldn't need to spend all of his days fighting. No...this was a passion just as strong and much more fulfilling. Only now he'd have the strength to properly protect what was his and what he cared about.

As you climb through Kodar you are painfully aware that nature itself is not your opponent. The Kodar Mountains are one of Golarion's most intimidating and massive mountain ranges. Few places in the world are more inhospitable to life than these mountains, yet life endures here. The extremes make for equally powerful monsters and denizens, of course only the strongest survive for long in this region, known to the Shoanti as the World's Roof.

Your research into the dwarven expedition has led you here, far from civilisation. You find an old trail and know you are close.
