Suddenly from the north you hear the sounds of a dog Frantically Barking, and a mans voice screaming for help..
Father Zantus looks at the group and and says:
"Hurry!!..I will stay here and tend to the wounded and do what I can for them..but you must Hurry!!..and save whoever that is..may the gods bless and Protect you!"
The group Heads off to the north out of the festival square and finds themselves just east of the White Deer, and close to the North gate of Sandpoint..

Sten moves with purpose and as much stoic dignity as a dwarf can manage having to run full bore to keep up with such long legged companions. Weapon drawn and face stern, he is ready for whatever may come his way.
I am going to let the others get a handle on their locations as it will influence mine.

Stuck myself closer to the NPC's. Not sure what they are, but I was the first to dash off, so I figure it makes sense to be closer to them
Vishoon
Vishoon mumbles "Mother heal me." and Cast Cure light wounds on himself
Cure Light: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Then moves forward with the rest of "His New Companions" looking them over. I wonder if any of these people are Tevok?
I'm fine with where Vishoon is, i assume he caught up after casting his cure.

Loupe im not familiar with how familiars work I've never played a character that has one or GMd a game in which there was one.. but if you want to use a familiar for battle and such, ill need you to make a alias for it with its stats and stuff for me look at, once you do that and post with it i will make a token and add it to the battle map and you can play it...if it doesnt do battle and just obeys simple commands or whatever, you dont need to do that just specify what it is that hes doing..but like i said if hes going to fight in battle Ill need an alias made with stats..Thanks..=}
Maugore
Thanks! Should be okay now. He's a tiny and flying critter - can make it a little difficult to put him on the map. Might be worth making a smaller token? Given Maug and Loupe have the same init mod I strongly suggest having them act on the same tick - that way you are only waiting on me (Harakani) once per round.
Karl Sarvo
I appreciate the effort you putting into this, gming two Rotrl games can get hectic and once you add real life responsibilities into the mix...I was just trying to get my fellow players ready for the upcoming fight. I hope I didn't come off sounding whiny, if I did I apologize, I meant no disrespect
GM BigBusMan
Maugore has been added to the map, and you will both move on same init
If everyone is OK with their starting sponts..lets begin..ROUND #3
"As the you arrive on the scene, you are just in time to see A goblin riding a goblin dog, kill the dog who was barking with his horse chopper. With a Blood Curdling Yelp, the dog crashes dying to the ground. As the goblins kin (who were themselves cowering nearby as the dog was handled) throw up a cheer and emerge from hiding."
"The Goblins are distracted by their kill, they turn their attention to a man who is hiding behind a couple barrels, they do not hear you approach and you have an opportunity to strike them.."
All Players can act in the surprise round in order that you post, after you all have acted I will roll initiative, and we will go from there.

Zander uses the moment of distraction to dart forward, glaive in hand, to stab at the goblin dog, hoping it's death with distract and confuse the rider. The thrust comes so close to the dog's undercarriage, Zander cannot tell if he scored a hit.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 4 + 2 = 131d10 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Sorry, I am using my phone right now and it doesn't let me interact with the Google docs. Just let's me see it.
Sten charges head long into battle. A battle cry as loud as an avalanche and as deep as a mountain fissure utters forth from him, For the forge father." He was swings the chain of his weapon out and brings it crashing into one of the goblins before him.
Attack1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Damage1d10 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
Vishoon
Vishoon seeing the goblins, More Gobbies for the roasting fire....ha ha ha
Looks at the goblin rider, "You first.. and charges
Attack: 1d20 + 2 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 2 + 2 + 1 = 19 (+2 for charging, +1 for bless(assuming its still up)
Damage: 2d4 + 3 ⇒ (1, 4) + 3 = 8
Karl Sarvo
The goblins attention was clutched by something, Karl did not know what and he honestly did not care, it was their chance to obtain an advantageous position in this fight, bearing his shield in his left arm and his axe in his right, the mercenary emerged from the curtain of shadows and moved in to get closer to the action.
It was at this time that he noticed his companions for this battle charge at a goblin who was riding a dog Best to stay back and let the goblins react, when they do Karl gripped his axe tighter and kept his eyes trained on the battle ahead of him, it was then that he noticed a tiny flying scaly dragon like creature fly close by Loupe's side He deals in exotic animals as well? Karl wondered momentary before refocusing on the battle.

Can you charge during a surprise round? It's "one action" but a full round, not a standard. Zander charged because I thought you could, but now I'm not so sure. If you can't, I'll ask how much time is left on Bless, and recast if it has worn off or is close to. That would cause me to move back 3 squares to the west again.
GM BigBusMan
In the surprise round you can only make a "Move" or an "Attack"..But not both..However I found this on the boards "If you are able to take only a standard action on your turn, you can still charge, but you are only allowed to move up to your speed (instead of up to double your speed) and you cannot draw a weapon unless you possess the Quick Draw feat. You can't use this option unless you are restricted to taking only a standard action on your turn."..so im going to make the call that Charging in surprise rounds is allowed but only up to your normal movement, so the ones that charged will need to figure out if they were within their normal movement zone and adjust accordingly
Red Storm
We're still in the same initiative order? Also, it looks like the background is a movable object. I might have accidentally shifted everyone by moving it under the tokens when I misclicked.
Red sees some kind of goblin leader riding a dog, and charges with the fury of flame in his veins.
Charge goblin on dog.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

loupe, Karl, sten, vishoon, and dark moved, Zander and red were in charge range due to reach weapons and attacked
GM BigBusMan
Just for ease of trying to figure out this charging question and trying to figure out peoples moves, for this battle only, Im going to run everyones move as they made them, I think this will break the charging rule for Vishoons movement..but ill allow it just this once..Next time we have a surprise round, we will need to stick to the rule..you can charge and do one attack, If you are within your normal range and already have drawn your weapon..Im only doing it this once so that we can keep the game moving and I dont have to spend 20 minutes trying to figure out who did what..lol..Any Objections?

my statement was made based on a few failed charges. If you let them go this time, well, you're the bigbossman err bigbusman for a reason.

SB-1d20 + 0 ⇒ (11) + 0 = 11
KS-1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
D-1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
V-1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
RS-1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
ZS-1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
LA-1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Goblin1,2,3,- 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Goblin Commando 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
INIT: Goblin Commando, Loupe,Karl,Vishoon,Red,Sten,Dairkal,Goblins1,2,3,Zander
Also keep in mind that the Goblin Dog and the Goblin commando are two different foes, with the other group I had them act on same INIT until one or the other is killed, then I had whatever was left just act alone..also The bless is still good for 3 more rounds.
"Zanders spell went just wide barely missing the Goblin"
"Red Swings and Hits his target..catching the riding goblin square in the chest..the goblin slumps over for a minute but regains himself and continues on"
"The Goblin Commando takes off on his Mount and moves north about 45 feet, he then stops turns and Fires his bow at Zander..
Attack roll: 1d20 - 4 ⇒ (13) - 4 = 9
But his arrows flys wide.."

aww, I missed a flatfooted goblin, I should hang up my adventuring boots. Did Red or I get an AoO when the goblin moved out of our threat range?
Karl Sarvo
The wound the goblin rider suffered did not go unnoticed by the ex-guard, he watched as it tried to build distance between it self and his group Retreating already? A fang filled smile came over the mercenary's face as he followed the goblin's movements with his grey eyes, and finally he caught it slowing down its retreat, without warning a 6'5 foot human wrecking ball dashed across the field at a speed that belied his large frame, Karl left nothing behind him but a trail of disturbed dust and the hammering echo of his boots.
In only a few moments he was within range to strike, his arm was drawn back as he tried to gain as much momentum as possible before unleashed his axe upon the goblin's head.
attack roll: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
But a small crevice in the ground close to the goblin caused him to almost trip over himself, and swing way too early, this lead him to miss the goblin by a large margin.
