lol, poor Karl thought his turn came first in the new round, such a rule abiding merc isn't he?

Zander Scott wrote:
"Getting some practice in? I believe Vishoon killed that one a few seconds ago."

"Never hurts to practice" replied Karl nonchalantly, as he moved past the goblin's corpse.

Karl knew from experience that when goblins attacked a settlement they attacked in large numbers, and those 3 could not have been the "large numbers" his memories were directing him to. His eyes darted from left to right as he strapped his shield to his back once more.

perception: 1d20 ⇒ 15

Whatever he noticed he knew that against a large number of any kind of enemy surprise was the best counter, he gripped his axe tightly with both hands and hid in the shadow provided by the shadow provided by the wagon.

"Suddenly You hear a Loud Explosion from the south end of the square!..a huge fireball bursts up into the air and its accompanied by Loud screams and cackling laughter..as you turn to look, you see that several more goblins have entered the square accompanied by one of the war chanters, they found a wagon full of explosives and firewood, meant for that evening's Bon Fire..the goblins have set it on fire and are dancing around it with torches..you rush across the square to engage them..the goblins see you coming and and they all turn and look at you..flaming torches in their hands and evil grins on their faces..

Even though this isn't a surprise round,Because all 3 goblins and the war chanter rolled higher init's..Looks like everyone will be FF in the first round unless you have an ability that keeps you from being FF, if so let me know, I doing this a bit different this time, more of a block setting the 3 goblins will all go on the same init, the war chanter has his own, and then everyone else can go as they post..Also I put your token on the boardclose to the next battle, please move them to wherever you would like to start from before I start this round..thanks

Had Karl hiding behind the wagon at the end of the first battle so I just moved him to another hiding spot that is closer to the action, should I roll a stealth check now?

Seeing the goblin warparty arrive on scene, Zander shouts to the group, ”Gather around me and I’ll bless us all for battle!” Pausing a moment to make sure everyone understood, Zander calls out; ”Divine Beauty, aide us against these insolent goblin’s, who dare bring chaos and strife to this peaceful celebration” He then draws his glaive and prepares to charge!

On Zander’s initiative, he’ll cast Bless for himself and anyone within 50’ +1 to hit and saves, then draw his weapon. If you want the buff, either delay till after him, or stay inside that zone.

Not sure what exactly that is that I moved Dair onto, looks like an umbrella?

its a tent/vendor stall..lol

Just waiting on Karl to make his stealth check to see if the goblins see him, before i make the moves for the goblins probably will be morning time sometime before that happens

Moving from shadow to shadow, Karl tried to keep his large frame from being noticed by the approaching goblins, at first he was not sure where they were coming from, which is why he hid in the closest hiding place that he had laid eyes upon: the wagon that has witnessed his sham of a battle Still a chance to prove my self to any perspective employers, and if that doesn't happen I can still ask for a reward Karl moved from one tent to another, the foot steps and war chants of the goblins getting closer.

Finally arriving at the shade offered by a smaller tent he noticed his "companions" on his left side preparing themselves to face the goblins head on, it was at that moment that he caught a quick glance at the raiding green skins One of them looks like an arcane user The mercenary began planning his next step, while hoping that none of his enemies will stumble upon his hiding place.

Sorry for the extremely late post

Loupe's action is going to depend on if there are allies in the (literal) line of fire.

He was doing fine in the last round, no I am not poking fun, Loupe was well played, and could probably get scouted as an arena announcer

With the site acting up today I was not able to get to this game till this evening, Im sorry for holding everything up..working on getting the goblins going right now

Edit: if all of those are down I will move towards the chanter but can not engage.

Realizing that he lost the element of surprise when saw one of the goblins approaching him, while it swiped at the air multiple times, leaving a trail of embers in its wake. The green skinned raider swung horizontally at the mercenary, Karl was easily able to back-step away from such a telegraphed attack, following that the mercenary let his shield fall into his left forearm once more, and assumed his battle stance.

Karl let his axe hand move incoherently for a few moments hoping it would draw the goblin's attention as it circled to its right side. No actual movement, still on the same square The mercenary began searching for any openings in the torch-wielding goblin's defense, but it had so many and these flaws changed so often he did not know which he should go for Simple savagery eh? You'd think after all these years they'd at least develop some sort of fighting system, fine I can do savagery, I am pretty good at it actually No expression was on Karl's face before it disappeared from the goblin's view, as soon enough it could only see the steel spiked shield moving in on it's position.

Attack Roll: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11

Damage: 2d4 + 3 ⇒ (3, 1) + 3 = 7

Its totally understandable, no need to apologize :}

The past few moments were filled metal hitting nothing but air from both sides, Karl dodged the last blow and struck out with his own but his axe bit into dirt instead of goblin flesh I always end up underestimating the speed of these goblins, I need to know where it will be ahead of time...that can be arranged He mentally smiled to himself as he drew himself closer to the goblin wielding the dog slicer, the torch still burning at its feet, its heat apparent for both combatants.

Will Saving Throw: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

I don't know if that's a successful save or not, so I'll write up a scenario for success

Success

Karl felt the presence of the arcane power close by him, being around fights for most his life, and ones that involved wizard he sort began to getting a feeling for when spells were cast his way, he looked around for but a moment and noticed the goblin war chanter closing on his position, leaving a trail of dust in its wake Great, just great, I'll stick to the plan, that half orc and merchant are already moving in on it Karl despised having to depend on strangers he just met, but such is the life of a mercenary; sometimes you have to give a measure of trust to the people you fight alongside...the least they could do is be good distractions.

No need to make this complicated doubt the thing would understand a complicated feint Karl moved on the goblin going through the same pattern of the shield bash attack he attempted before but the same time he didn't follow through completely stopping mid-stride and next to the torch.

Standard Action

feint/bluff roll: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17

Before giving the goblin time to react, Karl kicked torch at its feet, hoping that will be an even bigger distraction for when the time for attack came.

Hearing the sounds of battle, Zander charges off, ignoring the good father’s offer. Make a mockery of the Temple opening will they, they will pay.

Not waiting around, no time to wait while the citizenry suffers!

Karl's eyes darted from left to right, trying to keep track of swarm of green skinned invaders that fell upon the town of Sandpoint, their war-chants and war cries echoed in his ears along with the sounds of little footsteps across the roofs that surrounded him. Most mercenary's would recoil at the thought of fighting such numbers when they have not been paid in advance to do so, but Karl saw the situation as one massive opportunity, as the fruits of this endeavor meant more than finding an employer now; if he participated in this battle, he could move in the social ranks from being a stranger with a festering bad reputation, to a champion of the people, someone who would never be suspected of wrong doing, someone who could easily move across town, and if he played his cards right...someone who'd has access on the guards' logbooks, and this information was more important to him than any reward he could get from accomplishing this task, not that he would not ask for one when this battle was over.

Seeing Zander charge ahead, Karl strapped his shield to his back and kept to the shadows and covers offered by the wooden structures of the town. Just because he decided to play hero, didn't mean that he was about to charge blindly into the enemy.

Karl is now in stealth
