You're not bothering me, on the contrary I find this habit of yours to be quite helpful.

No problem here. My only issue is I am used to doing this all real time pen and paper where I can just talk out issues. Heck I'm just happy I don't have to DM right now. Tired of having players who throw tantrums when they don't get their way. They do it as DM also so it isn't me being evil killer DM they just throw tantrum. Never gonna understand how we can be middle aged and still act like six year olds.
Doesn't bother me - but should we put that stuff in the discussion thread rather than gameplay?
I'm kicking myself for forgetting surprise rounds are standard only... what was I thinking!!!!
You were probably thinking about the best way to utilize that paper weight you call a familiar ;D
I kid, I kid but wow familiars are pretty weak, I haven't seen one in use, most of the people I know use sorcerers.
Hey - it's done as much damage as me this fight!
Around level 7 it becomes possible to buff a familiar into a killing machine. There's an entire Skulls and Shackles scenario that pretty much got wiped to the end boss just with 2 familiars (mine and the bards).
But they are VERY fragile, and without buffs it is not really worth it.

Some times I miss first edition D&D when a common housecat was a fierce combatant, and regularly KO'd a Wizard and their amazing rolled D4 HP
Okay I didn't know that, thanks for info about familiars, I'll be better equipped to explain their benefits should another player join the group I am DMing and decided to pick a wizard.

The Diabolist Imp Familiar on the other hand, is Not so frail, and very very useful.

Are all the goblins dead and we're waiting on me? I'm lost as to where we are in the combat, if there even is one.
I think one of them is still alive, both if Dair's crit didn't kill its target.
there are 2 gobbo's still alive, goblin2 is barely alive, and the gobbo who is attacking Karl is alive, its now zanders tuyrn to close out round 3, then everyone else goes to start round 4, Bless is now worn off.

OK, note to self: Always attack the ones that hurt Karl, you can 1 shot those…
LOL, apparently, there is a hidden debuff that afflicts the ones that attack Karl.

Some advice to help these combats go better:
1) If we are in the surprise round, we should all refer to it as such. I know I was confused, not sure if anybody else was as well.
2) Label your post for a particular round, goes for the GM as well.
That would be good, surprise round, round 1 round 2..etc etc..then we will all be on the same page and it will make it easier for me to tell what round your move is suppose to be in..lol..Thank you for being patient with me during this, its harder to GM a PbP than it looks..lol..at the table is a lot different than online..=}
Someone tracking treasure sounds good.

As far as treasure distribution goes, I'm of the opinion that the gear loot should go to whomever can use it best, and that person just loses their share of the coin gained for that encounter.
If someone wants to track gear drops and selling/reselling and keep everything balanced, that's fine, but I have no interest in playing World of Spreadsheets.

Given Loupe's trait "Merchant Family" is about selling stuff I've tried to incorporate it. Hope I did it right.
Till we know what the vials are they're worthless.
That makes about 138.4 gold incoming (unless someone wants something or I've got something wrong). Almost 20 gold a pop - which I think would be a pretty decent amount for the members of our little group.
Unless someone's got detect magic working out what the vials are is going to need to wait a while.
@BigBusMan do I get any bonuses on that role because the situation is pretty much in our favor, and the target is not only wounded but not going anywhere, or for any other reason? :]

Having his village wiped out by attackers...vishoon is not forgiving type when it comes to others that attack villages.
Fits with the way he's been intimidating the goblin, his words are angry and raw, makes a lot more sense now that I've taken that into consideration.
Conversely Loupe comes from a city that has goblin citizens.
Made a change to my character's ability scores, brought the cha down to 11 and brought the str up to 17, already fixed all the related crunch, I apologize for the inconvenience and hopefully this will be the final change I make before we level up.

Hopefully I am not starting a fight with guards that could go badly for us, but with his background, he would see these guards as no better than the goblins who attacked. Tho if it does come to a fight, he try and make sure all these men DON'T die as he wants them to pay for their actions. Using stabilize on any that fall.
LoL..im just RPing these idiot guards..this is totally ad lib, so who knows what will happen..lol

We'll see, it's really going to come down to Karl/BBM and how they want to handle it. It could go really bad if they attack, as Dark and/or Sten may join their side, and Zander doesn't really want to get involved. I could just keep channeling for everyone and let the fight go on for minutes while someone tries to fetch the Sheriff.
I should say though that anyone that does get arrested for murder gets sent to magnimar for trial..The text doesn't specify what that means, so Id have to figure out if that means i have to run a trial or if that player or players would be out of the game?..So lets try not to go that route shall we..theres plenty enough to keep us busy here without throwing that in..lol

are you guys all having fun?..just want to make sure everyone still having a good time, and see if anyone has any suggestions or comments at this point?..I think for my first attempt at GMing im doing a good job, but i don't know for sure, so i welcome your feedback..I am having fun, and im amazed at how much different both groups games are shaping up..its very exciting!!

Yep going good. Find it funny that I may be forced to defend the evil PC's vs the belligerent guards.
I'm all good - having a blast :) I like the bandits - er I mean guards - role-playing :)
I think Dairkal's got a good idea on that one, but Loupe's happy to be off the street at he dragon... being out of combat spells is a scary thing for a wizard.
Plus, this is helping shape us together. in the future should guards tell us how much they dislike or distrust Karl we'll be all "man, they're with those guards who slandered Karl!"
yes, they are roughly at the same point you are, just a little bit ahead, but they took a totally different path with the wounded goblin and the sheriff..lol
So guys, rusty dragon inn or graveyard? Karl would be fine either way.

Vishoon would like to check the graveyard but will go to the inn if that's what the others want to do.
Would it pose a problem if the group split up? Five could go to the graveyard and two could head back to the rusty dragon.
Id prefer that you didn't split up, as it makes more work for me, but if you do, more than likely the ones that go to the dragon, will have to sit and wait till the group catches up with them there, as the next part of the story starts out there, if you all decide to go to the rusty dragon, together you all will be back at the cemetery very soon anyway..=}//but i want you all to have fun, and i don't want to tell you what to do, so play as you want and ill adapt..lol
