Haewyn Norric
perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (13) + 14 = 27
Seeing the cause of the distress, Haewyn immediately stiffens and a light-eminating halo appears above her head. She shouts, "Citizens of Sandpoint, do not be afraid! Return calmly and quickly to your homes. Bar your doors and close your windows. There are Goblins among us, and they will squeeze into any nook and cranny that they can, so do not let them!"
Diplomacy to Influence the Crowd: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13
Tassadan
All hell breaks loose. Unfortunately, the only word the crowd listened to in Haewyn's speech was "Goblin." Panicked people begin sprinting out of the square, starting to clear the way. One hops upon a table and starts stuffing his pants with salmon. Another starts chasing a child across the plaza with his dogslicer. A small contingent of the green menaces jump on the stage and start trying to drag father Zantus away, the feeble old man barely able to resist.
The goblin that Tiko slashes suddenly finds itself without a head, which rolls at the feet of his horse.
For movement purposes, the people still count as a crowd, but no longer provide.
Syndir Apep
Syndir grimaced at the suicidal display that landed near him and tucked his arms into his sleevse as he wondered if the goblin was making some sort of political statement against Father Zantus...I better not have missed the speech due to this protest...who knew goblins cared so much about religion?...speaking of...why has the speech ended? and where is Father Zantus?...
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21
Fulito Ferrywarden
As of right now FUlito has not officially recognized anybody as "Ally" but fo bardic music ability He will go with the assumption that non-goblin equals ally. so if you are in range for to hear him then you gain the benfit (this will include regular townsfolk)
Fulito noticing the goblins possibly heading in his direction, begins by humming a tune then it begins to turn into a song
Begin Bardic music to inspire courage
Bardic Performance: Inspire Courage +1 (Su) Morale bonus on saving throws vs fear, attack and damage rolls.
Bardic music rounds used: 1/14
he then moves toward the goblins drawing his sword move 30'
Tiko Matsuit
I posted in the wrong thread. Feel free to use either rolls, though I'd prefer the first set :-) [/ooc[
Tiko moves forward looking for anybody in danger from goblins. He also will casually kill any who get in his way. [ooc]After all the only good goblin is a dead goblin. Drawing his Wakizashi as he goes.
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10 Katana
1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 Katana Damage
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12 Confirm Critical
1d8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 Critical Damage
1d20 ⇒ 20 Perception
His sight seems to be clouded by a spray of blood.
Tassadan
Syndir now perceives the Goblins around the square, especially the ones that are now trying to take father Zantus.
Reynard's Crossbow bolt lodges itself in the Goblin's shoulder, not killing it, but certainly distracting it. Instead of chasing the child, it turns and charges at Reynard instead, shouting:
The goblin misses terribly as Reynard dodges its dogslicer.
Tiko's blade cuts through the torso of the dog-killing goblin, severing the creature's arms and separating it's top from its bottom. It's tiny heart is caught by the blade as well, causing a mist of blood that temporarily blocks Tiko's sight.
Fulito, despite your inspiring song, there seem to be none joining you in battle at the moment. The civilians are instead rushing to their homes and avoiding the goblins altogether. The goblins, however, notice you. The first three charge you, but you avoid the first two blades easily and the third bounds off of your armor.
Haewyn's flame completely consumes the head of one of the goblins draggin Zantus off the platform. The others are fascinated by this fire-firing being and drop the father altogether.
The Goblin stuffing food in its pants begins paying attention, and draws its dogslicer while baring its teeth.
Reynard Varvanyuk
As the vile little creature swings at his legs, Reaynard launches himself backwards into a somersault gaining a bit of distance. As he comes out of a backroll he fires into the goblin again.
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14
1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20
1d10 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
"Crunch this!"
Syndir Apep
Finally seeing that goblins are up to no good...I dare say a kidnapping seems quite beyond their means and mannerisms... and that the young lady he spoke to before was blasting them with...fire?...yesss fire!...sssshess one of ussss, yessss?...no she isnt...you forget her mistress... The Qadiran smiled in spite of the situation and fell into the swaying rythym of his Snake Style as he made his way to lend aid to the Lady Haewyn.
Tiko Matsuit
Tiko once again looks around to see if he can spot anyone in immediate danger before engaging another goblin.
1d20 ⇒ 12 Perception
Tiko senses a dog-face creeping up behind him, and stabs his Wakizashi behind him without turning around, reversing the hilt with a spin as he moves. Serenely surveying the battlefield as he marches forward.
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19 Attack (Off hand)
1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8 Damage
Fulito Ferrywarden
With several goblins apparently not to fond of halfling music looks like Fulito will have to take some drastic measures.
as he continues to sing his song he stepa back a bit as the notes of his music solidify and lash out atthe goblins in front of him
5' step back to cast chord of shards in a 15' cone to the goblins in front of him dealing 2d6 ⇒ (1, 4) = 5 piercing damage (DC 15 reflex negates)
bardic music rounds used still 1 of 14 harmonic spell prevents use of a round since I cast a spell. effects remain in place
Tassadan
The Goblin chasing Reynard can't react as the ranger swiftly moves into position for his fatal attack. It utters a pitiful cry as the bolt goes through its eye. It falls, never to stand again.
Tiko, there was no creature behind you, but there is one above. A Goblin jumps from a low nearby rooftop, its dogslicer shining in the midday sun. It however misses entirely, falling flat on its face.
Fulito, two goblins are struck by your notes, now visibly damaged with several incisions as though invisible knives had been thrown into their flesh. The third dodges out of the way. The three decide to gang up on you, sidestepping into place for a concerted attack. A fourth and fifth fire at you with their shortbows. You are surrounded.
One arrow misses, but a second catches Fulito in the arm. A sword digs into your flesh. This was perhaps not the best battle plan.
Fulito takes a total of 7 damage
Until a flash of steel catches your eye. A tall Shoanti man stands with an enormous hammer. Where a healthy goblin once stood, there is now a flattened pancake of blood, skin, and bone. "You picked the wrong place to be, Halfling," the man says, "Follow me. We'll make mincemeat of them yet."
Haewyn's assault causes the Goblins' ears to bleed, and each looks unable to move or act due to the pain. They drop their dogslicers on the ground, their hands attempting to block out the interminable noise that none other can hear.
The remaining Goblins onstage take 2 damage and are stunned
Reynard Varvanyuk
Spinning, eyes scanning the area for others in danger, Reynard lets fly at one of the archers attacking the halfling performer, his bolt punching into the back of the goblin's head and taking it completely off its feet.
1d20 + 12 ⇒ (18) + 12 = 30
1d10 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Just realized I haven't been using my favored enemy bonus
Fulito Ferrywarden
now you know why the alias picture is what it is.
Fulito stops mid song staring at the human.
your telling me refering to the wrong place comment Man I miss my rock
Fulito stops his song but the effect still ring in everyone's ears.
lets get out of here to somplace safer...OK?
Fulito takes a swing at one of the goblins injured by his music
shortsword attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
damage: 1d4 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1
Fulito Ferrywarden
19's a crit threat with a short sword
ooooo that happens so rarely I forgot
Crit confirm check: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 4 + 1 = 10
yeeeaaahhhh....NOT
[ooc]also I can't believe I forgot my own bard song.
so add +1 to that damage for a whopping 2 points
Tassadan
Syndir, you are now right next to Haewyn or could even move past her to the stage if you'd like, but that will take an acrobatics check. Good catch with Fulito's crit. I have also been adding your Bardic Performance to attack and damage against goblins to anything within 30 feet of you (which at the moment includes the large hammer-man) and will continue to, so as long as you keep track of how many rounds you've expended, you'll be fine. If you still want to keep track of the modification, that's fine too. I will post battle results and the goblin's next turn once you have all given me actions.
Syndir Apep
Thanks for the clarification. Note that Syndir's move is 40' as well. Acrobatics: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Syndir didnt move so much as slither through the crowd of people as he made his way to the stage.
Im with you Lady Haewyn.
He sped towards the closest goblin trying to kidnap Father Zantus and aimed a kick for its too large head.
Unarmed attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Unarmed damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Haewyn Norric
Hah, this guy again? Well at least he's good in a fight...
"Good to see you again, Syndir. I kind of owe you an apology. Remind me about it when we're not killing things."
Haewyn hurls another fireball towards one of the stunned Goblins.
Fire Bolt Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Crit confirmation: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
Fire Bolt Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Tassadan
The two other Goblins next to Fulito fall, as Reynard's bolt skewers one through the throat and Fulito tag-teams the other with the hammer user.
The two archers remaining fire at Fulito and the hammer-man. One arrow misses Fulito by a wide margin and the other bounces off the man's armor.
Syndir and Haewyn's combined assault decimates two of the goblins onstage. Syndir's well placed kick catches the stunned creature in the jaw, shattering the creature's skull. Haewyn's fireball hits the goblin square in the chest, causing the air in it's lungs to become superheated and expand to the point of rupturing them. The goblin falls dead, grasping at it's throat trying to breathe.
Tiko's sword slashes swiftly, bisecting the goblin down the center of its body. A gruesome sight indeed.
Syndir Apep
...an apology?..I wonder what for...maybe these northerners are not all uncouth barbarians as I was led to believe...
Good to see you as well Haewyn. I take it these creatures are not invited guests?
Syndir flowed towards the goblins that had Father Zantus keeping mindful of staying out of Haewyn's like of fire...sssuch beautiful fire too...unleasssh more fire!... He quelled the hissing voice in his head and launched a hook at the grimy goblin.
Unarmed Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
Unarmed damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Fulito Ferrywarden
are there still goblins to be fighting or are they pretty much taken care of. (maybe I am just getting confused in the confusion) and shall I begin this story as an Epic, a ballad, or a tradegy.
Edit: maybe a tragic comedy or even a musical
Haewyn Norric
Haewyn looks in Syndir's direction, shouting, "Guests?! Ha! If these are invited guests, I'd hate to see the party crashers!"
She moves close to the bow-toting goblins and shoots another bolt of flame in one of their directions. The smell of burning goblin flesh begins to permeate the air.
Fire Bolt: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
Fire Bolt Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Tassadan
Tiko, you see two goblins with bows assaulting a man and a halfling about 30 feet away. (Both the Goblins and the other two are thirty feet away from you, like a isosceles triangle).
Syndir's punch catches the goblin just behind its left ear. There is an audible crack as the goblin's skull shatters. There are no more goblins on the stage.
The man in armor is hit in the ribs by an arrow, and does not look too well. The other Goblin aims an arrow at Fulito and misses by a wide margin, just as Haewyn fries its arm with her flames. Poetic license. She doesn't actually have the ability to make it miss.
You hear the death cry of a dog in the distance.
Reynard Varvanyuk
As the burning goblin falls, a heavy crossbow bolt comes punching into it's companion with enough force to take the little creature completely off its feet.
1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19
1d10 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
"Hear those screams? There's more of these little bastards all over town! We need to protect these people!"
Tiko Matsuit
Tiko thinks for a moment about mounting Chung so he can see better, but quickly decides otherwise. He could easily accidentally trample someone. Instead he charges one of the offensive goblins.
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21 Katana Attack - Charging
1d8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 Katana Damage
Tassadan
Reynard and Varvanyuk easily dispatch the remaining goblins. Their corpses fall to the ground.
Father Zantus comes rushing to the side of the armored hammer wielding man.
"Sheriff Hemlock! Desna guide us! Are you alright?"
"I'm a bit worse for wear father... If you could-"
"Of course, my child."
A white light emanates from the holy man's hands. The arrows that had imbedded themselves in the Sheriff's chest and limbs fall out, one by one. The sheriff stands, gives a sort of grunt of thanks, and then runs off into town towards the mayhem beyond. He seems to have forgotten that you all are here.
Father Zantus calls out to you all: "Young men and woman, do you require Desna's healing?"
Fulito Ferrywarden
I have been delinquent in my posting here and I have no excuse but I will strive to be more dilgent in my reponses.
As the last of the goblins are dispatched Fulito shakes his fist in thier general direction and let that be a lesson to all you goblins not to mess with a halfling of the River Kingdoms.
he then turns to see the healing being administered
ahh father, sir it would seem that some goblin has decided store his extra arrow in my arm. and it is a rather painful storage I might add.
Tassadan
Of course, young one. May Desna's luck abound.
Father Zantus applies his hand to your wound, and you feel the flesh around the wounds heal.
Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
The arrow falls from its former place in your flesh, and part of the sword wound you received also heals.
"Are the rest of you alright?
Fulito Ferrywarden
Fulito looks to the father I may be small but i am not that young I'll have you know.
fulito siazes up those gathered about.
I know the father here, well not personally, and the others I am not to sure on perhaps some intrductions are in order
Fulito goes to the man with the Hammer that dragged him from the goblin version of Halfling in the Middle I would like to thank you sir your appearance was most timely Not that i had the situation under control
He then turns to everyone
before we go about ending the reign of the goblin tribes allow me to intrduce ,yself, at least for those that have not met me before, I am Fulito ferrywarden, Bard of the river Kingdoms, and i must say this place has the most interesting festival entertainment.
