Thorthal Runecloak |

Does the guard appear to have other weapons?
Thorthal finishes tying up the guard, drops the rope, steps to -C-5, and focuses for a moment. (Uses Martial Versatility, drops Deflect Arrows, gains Improved Trip if the guard has other weapons, Improved Disarm otherwise)

DM Rambler |

A vicious cut leaves the half-orc reeling, and he...
collapses to the ground.
Reflex Save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
After felling Morgrom, the warrior's sword slips from his grasp.
As Petronicus backpedals and Thorthal finishes his knot work, Bardos load and whirls his sling again.
sling: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 51d4 ⇒ 3
The guard still has a dagger he could use. And there is greatsword on the ground beside him ;)
Haer Kul
Prahd (stated, but could be changed)
Guard
Petronicus
Morgrom (oh, sorry)
Thorthal
Bardos

DM Rambler |

Haer Kul hurls his cultural Galtan insults at the warrior, and Prahd fires his crossbow. The second shot is barely turned aside by the warrior's buckler.
The guard stoops to grab Morgrom's greatsword, then steps next to Petronicus and swings a fist at him. The punch catches the wizard squarely in the mid-section.
non-lethal punch: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 171d3 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Petronicus
Morgrom
Thorthal
Bardos
Haer Kul (tying, unless changed)
Prahd

Thorthal Runecloak |

Thorthal waits for the ranged attackers to have their unimpeded shots before moving in. (Delays until after Prahd)

"That's nae yers."
AC 17

Prahd Goatsfoot |

How is his touch AC higher than 12? If he is wearing banded mail, his max dex should be +1. Am I missing something? Other than him?
Sorry to harp on this, I know it wasn't a great roll, but If that didn't hit, I have no means to fight this guy left.

Prahd Goatsfoot |

Prahd fires twice more while he still has a clear shot, although this time against normal AC
bolt 1: 1d20 + 5 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (11) + 5 + 1 - 2 = 151d10 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11
bolt 2: 1d20 + 5 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (16) + 5 + 1 - 2 = 201d10 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11
Hopefully that's done it!

Haer Kul |

As the guards are tied, HaerKul will also gag them. I assume that someone else will attend to Morgrom with one of our healing potions.
When he finishes the last: "We should question one of these about what is going on here. Who is behind the takeover of the mill. And whether there are more guards. I wonder if this is the source of the madness, or whether some greedy individual has just taken advantage for his own gain."
After speaking, Haer Kul drinks an extract to recharge his innate magic.

DM Rambler |

The warriors don't seem to have anything of value beyond their weapons and armour, which are of standard quality. Some of these are scattered about the battlefield. Each of them had a longsword, dagger, and ammo for their crossbows. The leader also had a heavy crossbow, and is wearing banded mail and a buckler. The others had light crossbows, and wear chainmail.

Prahd Goatsfoot |

Prahd regains one grit for a kill shot
Prahd administers the infusion to Morgrom (I think Haer Kul is carrying it?) then gathers up crossbow bolts and retrieves his morningstar.
"Someone should take that armour. It's too heavy for my tastes. Petronicus?"
Anything magical?

Petronicus Alazario |

"Why does everyone assume I can tell whether things are magical or not? I specifically spent decades studied the manipulation of light, sound and magic to conjure ancient monstrosities, and occasionally a splotch of grease! Hmphh!" Petronicus face turns notably red with consternation, visible even under the heavy powder he wears on his face.

"No, no, I was asking if you want the banded armour. Once the burly half-orc wakes up, he can tell us if anything is magic."
Turning to Haer Kul, "Did I mention you are looking positively angelic this morning?"

DM Rambler |

None of the equipment is magical.
The infusions heals Morgrom...
infusion: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Apparently the "dice" hate Morgrom regardless of who rolls them.
A few moments later, the two sleeping militiamen wake up and begin struggling against their bonds.
Strength check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Strength check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16

Petronicus Alazario |

Petronicus orders scuttles to menace them.
"I would reccomend you cease your struggles at once gentlemen, for I have not fed my pet today and he might decide to grow ambitious in his choice of morsels! Now which one of you is going to prove himself worthy of preservation by answering a few questions?"
Intimidate:: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9 plus circumstance/aid from scuttles?

Petronicus Alazario |

Petronicus slowly circles the men as he speaks to them. As he passes behind them he casts Ghost Sound to create the sound of a loud rumble coming from scuttles belly. "Oh my it's worse than I thought. I would hold very very still if I were you."

Morgrom Hellblade |

Morgrom groans as he pushes himself up off the ground. Kneeling he looks around briefly, "Thanks fer tha heal," and proceeds to cast a spell and lays a hand on his chest.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Standing he kicks the guard in the banded mail and walks over to Thorthal, "Hope it werked better fer you than me." He holds out his hand, waiting to get his sword back.
Assuming he gets his sword back, he walks over to the tied up soldiers. "Youz gonna tell us everythin' we wanna know an' youz gonna do it wiff a smile cause it only way you ain't swingin' by yer neck from tha tree. Course, youz could try an' fight but the bug," gesturing to Scuttles, "an' I ain't worried bout hurting ya some first. On second thought," he flashes a toothy grin, "I likes that better."
Intimidate: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

Thorthal Runecloak |

Thorthal will hand Morgrom his greatsword, makes sure the bonds on the prisoners is tight, and then he painfully removes the bolt from his side.
"Is it jist me, or are these fowk talkin' a bit funny?"
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

Morgrom Hellblade |

Morgrom turns his head looking at the soldier who spoke. Stepping over near where he is laying, he crouches down, a frown upon his face, "Are youz insulting my friend Scuttles? Scuttles, this one call you a beast." Pausing for a moment he looks at Scuttles with a serious look on his face and a nod. "Scuttles sez ta remin youz, youz dealin' wiff us, not them," gesturing at the rest of the party, "SO START TALKING!" He screams at the soldier, spittle flying.

"You see gentlemen, I fully comprehend you were just playing around, but the centipede, he just doesn't understand. Indubitably, if you were to all apologize... You see, my centipede does not enjoy people making mirth at his expense. He gets the far fetched notion you are engaging in mockery. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really had no ill intent.
And then you can tell us about this Hooded Lord"

DM Rambler |

The captives look around at the party. At the incomprehensible dwarf and crossbowman, at the frothing half-orc, at the obviously mad wizard, at the shape-shifting gnome, and the last member of the group standing silent and staring into space.
"They have obviously succumbed to the madness. No use to him. They must be put out of their misery."

"Gentlemen, what makes someone 'undesirable' in your estimation? You will need a very good explanation for you have orphaned our friends, and we are not very happy with you."
Indicating Morgrom: "My large, angry looking friend here *is* large and *very* angry. He is in pain, and we very dearly wants to share that pain with someone."
Glancing at skittle, "You have already met our extremely hungry pet. He doesn't have a very large mouth, so he has to eat slowly. Fortunately for him, his poisonous bite paralyzes, so he can take his time."
"Talk. Talk a lot, talk fast. And pray that you say something interesting."
Intimidate: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 And try the beef. I'm here all week...
Any religious markings, symbols or designs on either of them Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13?
