The format will be "sandbox" like but for the first adventure my style is usually to plop you all together in the middle of a mission or some such to get a feel for the game and each other, but what happens afterwards will be largely up to you.

The common thread/ultimate goal for the campaign will be "find/defeat A.R.O.D.E.N", and how you go about gathering information, tracking it down, and gaining power/levels along the way will largely depend on how you all wish to go about that.

The campaign will *hopefully* go as long as people have interest and keep posting, but as we all know life happens and interest can wane. I will do my best to warn everyone in advance if I don't expect to be able to post for more than a day or so.

Sounds good to me, but it would be nice if you or Rafe changed icons, since having you two use the same one will be confusing.

Edit: as for unused skill points, I think as a party we have most of the major ones covered, but where we're pretty deficient as a party is the various knowledges, so maybe sprinkle a few points around that section?

The forum has a very limited set of Android avatars. I think that's going to change though... Might be a fun thing for our characters to be Starfinder classes 'In Real Life'. Rafe would certainly be an Operative.

Rafe is going to be a recent arrival to Project Golarion and isn't going to be a 'gamer' by personality which should make for some interesting interactions.

For those interested:

My LoH heal for : 2d6+1
My CLW heals for 1d8+6 and you get a max of +4 temp HP for 3 rounds (if i over heal you)

other than that. My combat sucks. Luckily my skills make up for it.

Also note that Ursk Kulok has CLW, as a backup. I'll also probably take kinetic healer at some point, just in case, though since we have an oracle of life AND a druid with CLW, I'm thinking it's not a high priority. Currently planning to take Kinetic Cover at level 4, but swap it out for Kinetic Healer at level 6 if it doesn't prove useful, or if it turns out that we really do need the extra healing ability (after all, Ambnz could turn out to be a really brutal GM :) )

We will see, but so far i think the healing is covered well. I would suggest i or someone else keep something on them to get me up should i fall in battle

My power has been out all morning and in the scramble in dealing with it I haven't been able to write the first post. It is back now, but I can't promise it will be done by the end of the day since I'm also having to catch up on missed work stuff. So as mentioned, the stats have me leaning towards a non-martial combatant. Probably sorcerer. I was thinking of having his screen name be BigHatLogan49. Dark Souls fan and a caster. Logan is the Father of Sorceries and most of the magic in game was big boom spells. Sorcerers are best as blasters. There spell selection is also reduced which I thinks goes nicely with the way magic works. If its hacks, then he would have to be a prodigious hacker to create a wizard's spell list with all the situational spells. Sorcerer just means he has some skill, mapped some cool looking blast spells and called it a day. Also Logan was from the Dragon School and there was a bunch of dragon crest rings so dragon bloodline. Thinking Bronze for lightning.

You can go utility if you want, you could be another original. 'Hacker' is a prodigious hacker who helped Dark Dealer 52 get his mods

Oh, I got it. He was a beta tester back before the rogue AI took over and part of an influential family. He was given more tools to play around with and experiment. This included the ability to "cast" magic, or essentially alter the game world to a small degree. Mainly because he couldn't physically keep up with the game and needed a handicap. He's also not a genius (and the alterations take some programming skill) so he can't mess with the physics too much but he's retained the ability now that the game is locked down.

Do you guys need a buffer or blaster? Blaster fits better with a Dark Souls caster but I can change things if needed. Then again, don't have a lot of buff's until 2nd level spells are available.

DarkDealer is a blaster, so a buffer would probably be better.

Blasting is covered, but buffing and battlefield control would help a lot.

Less blasting, more buffing and cortrol, got it. Arcane bloodline then since it allows for versatility. I'll get to work.


I am about done. All I have is Grease for crowd control but I don't have a lot of flexibility yet. Every Favored Class bonus from here out will be the human bonus that gives an extra spell known. Should have some versatility by 6.

How many alkali flasks can you make? The GM can bot you doing it while Rafe and Darkdealer go on a scouting mission.

I did the maths wrong before and calculated from GP instead of SP
My previous crafting characters were all level 5+ and had master craftsman

Ah, I thought those numbers looked odd, but I haven't done much crafting. Sounds like we don't have time to make anything special, and should just stick with alch fires.


DM? do you mind if I switch out Enlarge Person with Grease. Neither are going to be that useful in this fight I think, unless Logan can actually get close enough to cast it before it takes flight. And even then it probably has the reflex to ignore it. But Enlarge might be useless for a long while. It won't affect DarkDealer's blasts, or Hacker's bombs. Erin is support. Rafe is a rogue. It doesn't work on horses and I can't use it on Reiko if she want's to ride her mount. Which she probably does because of Spirited Charge. So yeah. No one to cast it on anyway.

Anyone else think Enlarge would be a good idea? Or have a better debuff/buff spell in mind? Got magic missile for attack and ghosts and mage armor for defense.

If you're looking for suggestions, some of my favorite first-level sorc/wiz spells are grease, silent image, color spray, and sleep. We're probably beyond the point where sleep is likely to be useful against the heavy-hitters we'll face, but color spray should have some use against them for another level or two, and it remains useful for taking groups of minions out of the fight beyond that. Silent image is, of course, one of the most useful spells in the game if you have the imagination to use it effectively.
