BTW, did anyone have any objections to the suggested item distributions?
Sounds good to me. If Bahram or Keldar would rather have the slippers I don't mind taking the amulet or the cloak.

Any Idea on our current treasure funds Rashid? I think it would be a good idea to fence the loot and get some supples/gear before we fight the Daemon. How is our healing wand looking?
Also if someone is in need to borrow some money to get something out of their price range let me know. I think someone should take/hold onto the Cold Iron Hvy Mace. Might come in handy in the DR department. I might take a dagger from our treasure if that is ok.

I have continued to maintain the treasure spreadsheet, which is still spoilered as a link on Rashid's page :-)
I do not know how many charges the wand Keldar has has left on it, but the one that Rashid has still has 34 charges remaining.

Yousef olan Ahmad |
We seriously need to get Yousef better armor.
Yeah. I was planning on going straight rogue until I get high enough level for Chevalier, but I may have to start taking levels in fighter or barbarian if I am going to be on the frontlines like this all the time.
In the meantime, I think I will by a wand of Mage Armor and give to you are Lavender to cast on me every battle. Poop, it doesn't stack with regular armor, does it?
Rashid al-Gahiji |
We *all* need to get better armor :-/ The only reason Rashid is AC 18 is because he is running around with a shield - if he wielded a weapon two-handed like Yousef, he would only have AC 16...
Yousef olan Ahmad |
I took the Offensive Defense trait, which does give Yousef a +2 bonus to his AC whenever he sneak attacks. When I charge, that cancels out the AC penalty associated with charging. (Hooray Scout's Charge). Also, in case anyone wonders how a city-boy thug took the Scout Archetype, well, I figure he gained all his levels while in the wilderness, sooooo, it seemed appropriate. But when Yousef Feint's or Flanks, that +2 will be nice. If I stick to Rogue, it is +3 at 5th, +4 at 7th and so forth, so it might be a good idea to stay straight rogue after all. Decisions, decisions.

Hmmm... Looking at the new Sorcerer bloodlines in Ultimate Magic, the only difference at this level between Elemental (air) and the new Djinni bloodline is that Djinni gets shocking grasp as the level 3 bonus spell instead of burning hands... and I'm pretty sure that neither Bahram nor Lavender has actually cast that one yet anyway. So, if either or both of you guys want to switch to the Djinni bloodline that's fine with me.

So how does an this sound? Lavender casts silent image of Rashid over Rashid as well as a four foot tall mimicry of our side of the room. Yousef cuts the head off of "Rashid" and carries it to "Kardswann." When/If he comes down to accept the head, then cast web.
Not sure I follow on the mimicry of the room part. Might work, except Lavender is far to busy with important things, like staring at pretty colors and patterns, than to worry about Kardswann.
Also, for reference:
Fascinated A fascinated creature is entranced by a supernatural or spell effect. The creature stands or sits quietly, taking no actions other than to pay attention to the fascinating effect, for as long as the effect lasts. It takes a –4 penalty on skill checks made as reactions, such as Perception checks. Any potential threat, such as a hostile creature approaching, allows the fascinated creature a new saving throw against the fascinating effect. Any obvious threat, such as someone drawing a weapon, casting a spell, or aiming a ranged weapon at the fascinated creature, automatically breaks the effect. A fascinated creature's ally may shake it free of the spell as a standard action.

I'm liking where this thinking is going! But illusion spells are tricky beasts - a figment (like Silent Image) cannot make something seem like something else (that's what glamer illusions do). So an illusion of Rashid's severed head would be fine (with some continuing control from Lavender, and sticking within the overall area she designated for the spell), but making Rashid's actual head vanish is a little trickier. Suddenly moving the wall, and everyone standing in front of it, a good few feet further into the room is going to be obvious (since the guy is watching you)...
... Plus, the whole thing with the pretty colours... ;)

You know, I was a little skeptical at first at the 15 point buy for our characters, but I am having fun with Yousef and don't feel that our party is underpowered at all. It makes me fell like my 14's are sufficient.
Yeah, I agree, but in hindsight I feel very foolish for dumping wisdom. Not sure what I was thinking.
Also, In five days it will have been a whole year since we started this game!
Lavender Leaf |
Then it will be a full year since I stared pbp :D this is the second game I got into since I discovered this method of gaming.
Me too, although the first game I joined crashed and burned before it even started.
Lavender Leaf |
I feel your pain Bahram. Your rolling here like I do when I play in my rl game. I normally average a 2. gone through like 5 characters. Its half the reason I focus on spell casters and DM so much nowadays.
Lavender Leaf |
Me and Lav will definately both want the headband and the wand is a nice adition to our suplement of spells, is there a fair way to determine who gets it?
It's yours.
As for the wand, I think Rashid and maybe even Keldar can use it too. Personally, I say one of us sorcerers takes it to free up fighting potential. With no main fighters I think we will need to depend on Rashid and Keldar to fight more often than spell slinging. Just my thoughts.
