Well I haven’t run a PbP in a long time, but well I think I have enough time to run one. So to the premise of this game, it will be a mash-up of a number of adventure paths and modules, set in Golarion specifically Sand Point though with a little artistic licence, mainly that it will be merged with Falcon’s Hollow, though it will still be set in Varisia.

Leveling will be done at the of the story arc for the level, basically once all the module and AP stuff for that level has been completed. This may end up giving some harder difficulty encounters at times but it should be levelled out by more wealth accumulated per level.

Characters will be created through a point buy system, 25pts. You get 3 traits of any kind though they must be different kinds each, so you can’t have 2 combat traits for example. Core races only, and any class from the core book, APG, and the ultimates. Obviously starting at level 1. For character backgrounds I’m looking around at least 1 paragraph, and they should be natives of the inner sea, though not necessary Varisia as long as they have a reason to be at Sandpoint at the start of the game.

Right so I’m looking for 4-5 players, first come first served I guess, hopefully we’ll have players who can post at least once a day, but I’m not picky in that sense

Count me in. I post at minimum of once per day and an average of 3 times.

I would probably do a dawnflower bard. (depending on party composition)

I'll try to make sure PCs don't get killed, but if the dice roll the wrong way I won't be pulling the punches. As to player disappearance or fail to post, I'll be giving them 2 days to post if they're holding up the game if they don't then I'll post their action and move on, if they fail to post for 2 weeks they count as no longer being in the game, and their characters will be turned into an NPC or writen out of the adventure

Any house rules we should know about?

You're not one of those crazy DMs who disallow taking 10, are you?

Nope, I'll try to have as little house rules as possible, though one or two things may be done by ignoring the rules a little for dramatic effect; but never during combat

Not sure how long it will go on for, I'm hoping a few months before it dies though game wise it may take a couple of years to finish, if we get that lucky

So are we playing through the entire APs or are you just incorporating elements from the APs?

Building it up from parts, so it won't be the entire AP though it is a lv1-15/16/17 game

I see so many recruitment threads where they get suddenly flooded with 60 applicants all playing really complicated characters with weird abilities and I find myself shell shocked and thinking I don't have a chance. LOL

YEah it can makes things a little more complicated to DM so I don't blame you. I like it more on PBP because it keeps thread traffic up but that is a personal preference...that and I always had large group IRL.

Im brewing up some background and was wondering, how does Rise of the Runelords relate to this campaign? Has the events happened or not? Will they ever?

Im asking because I figured a relative of one of the adventurers would be fun, coming to Sandpoint to see the place where it all started for old grandaddy, in the hopes of finding his own adventure.

Not sure about class yet, will have to give it a little more thinking.

Checking in with an Alchemist. You specified Core races only, but the fluff for this character is for a Tiefling. Not gonna change that part, so if that disqualifies him without question, sad times for me I guess.

Well as long as you change his race to one of the core, and tone down how much demonic heritage he has (down to something like what a sorcerer would have) he should be fine

I added one interesting character quirk to Aerodus. I added that he hates arcane magic due to what it caused in his childhood. What do you think?
