Sense Motive: 1d20 ⇒ 17
Judging from Aerodus' sudden outburst, the topic of riches is a... sensitive issue for him, according to Lia.
With a quizzical look at Aerodus, she turns her horse around. "I have to explain what happened to my boss. Besides, we'll likely draw less suspicion arriving in Sandpoint in a caravan than arriving on our own."
With that, she rides off, returning to the inn.
Jirani Shores
Jirani follows.
At the inn, if nothing else interrupts, Jirani will see that the murdered are cleaned up and... Is this inn just out in the middle of nowhere or is there some sort of township near by? Maybe just under the jurisdiction of Sandpoint? Jirani would probably advocate they are buried, noting that raising them would require resources and time these folks don't have. (Raise Dead by far the cheapest option only works within hours per level? Normal people don't get raised I think...)
Jirani Shores
Jirani will prep the bodies for travel and ask that the caravan take them with the group so they can be handed off for proper rites.
Morbid as it sounds we might check the inn once more, for funds or resources that would aid the innkeeper and his daughter in getting a proper funeral or any lingering clues about our mysterious foes? I'm not sure how much time we have...
Lia Vantas
Once back at the inn, Lia looks for Tanya. She takes a breath, and begins to explain.
"Tanya, I'm sorry that my associates and I just up and took off with five of the caravan's horses without letting you know what we were doing. We were trying to catch up with a man in colorful clothes & his buddy--the flamboyant one's name is Octavian. We had reason to believe that he and his henchman murdered the serving girl and innkeeper here."
She continues. "Octavian is heading to Sandpoint. Would it be alright with you if my new associates came with us?"

"Well, important stuff aside, since we're resting I'll use my time for that. If anything abnormal happen I'll be in a room upstairs. See you tomorrow morning."

As the caravan starts to arrive at Sandpoint, close enough to start seeing the doors of the buildings, there is woman standing in your path, she is dressed humbly in the clothes of a Varisian fortune, she is holding out a deck of cards and waves you to stop

Aerodus's eyebrow arches. But he shrugs. "Let's see what she wants."
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11 if she's human then this becomes 13
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15 if she's human then this becomes 17

Jirani holds off a slight distance, simply looking around as the others appraoch (and Venator casts)

Woman ”The cards tell me you’re here to deal with a great injustice, though they also tell me it would be rash to head in without a little help, would you care for me to give you a better reading?” she says with a wink and a smile,

Although Venator wants to reply, he keeps quiet and focused on the woman's auras.
Will keep studying her to determine the schools of magic in her auras. Detect Magic

Will Save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18 Nevermind...
Venator knows there's something wrong, and as usual he prefer the simplest way:
"What are you? And who do you serve?"
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Venator Legatti
"And luck favors the bold! I'm sure we need our help we can get so, please, grant us your wisdom, free woman."
As he knows it is delaying the caravan, he turns to his new companions. "Give her a minute. It could be worth it."
Aerodus Lurconarr Charthagnion
Aerodus follows, wary of the woman. "This won't take long, will it? We have a criminal to hunt down."
Jirani Shores
Jirani holds his bow warily but allows the group to follow if that is their wish...
Venator Legatti
Venator follows. He could not stop thinking that he could have been fooled by her phrase, but if she was involved there was so much to learn from her they could not ignore it, as long as it did not take long. They were already late, so it didn't mattered. Much. Please tell me if this little walk exceed 5 minutes.
Venator Legatti
After a couple minutes of walking, Venator, who has visited the town before, analyzes if they are going in direction of the piers or another one, while he tries to clarify if she is indeed helping them or not.
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
"So, traveler, why do you wish to help us? Cause in my point of view you're hindering us at the moment, so you better give us a proper answer or we shall part ways."
Crap.

"I want justice to be done, but unfortunately powerful, influential people here at Sandpoint rather we didn't have it. I'm trying to help you out in a way that won't get you all arrested before you can do what you need"
Aerodus Lurconarr Charthagnion
Aerodus snorts. "Powerful and influential people? Like who? Who would be bored enough to spend their time focusing on us? I mean, we're just some random people. Why would we have any enemies?"

Sense Motive: 1d20 ⇒ 20
Looking over at Aerodus, she can read his expression like a book.
He's hiding something... likely a fugitive. It's probably a good thing we have him around, then--set one to catch one, right?
"Honestly, I'd like to know that as well. As far as I know, we're just a caravan of people off to the town of Sandpoint." She says, her eyes not leaving Aerodus' face.
Aerodus Lurconarr Charthagnion
Seeing Lia just staring at him, Aerodus looks around before saying, "Yes? May I help you with something? You know, it's not polite to just stare at someone."

After the shortish walk you arrive to a small wooden cabin at the northen edge of Sandpoint, inside is homely with a red carpet, a large (for the room) wooden table, and a bowl of tasty look apples. After you all get in she closes the door and sits by the wall, and gives you some time to settle down
