"Why do you question your actions, Elowyn?" Giri says as he takes the key that they found and tries to open the lock on the manacles to free their intended charge.
"Wait. Remember that hairy guy in Strahd von Zarovich's castle dungeon? or that crazy gnoll in that hobgoblin lair near that keep on the borderlands? Or that harem in those lost caverns? Or that other guy...."

"I agree with Elowyn. While I oppose attacking innocent bats and lizards, the presence of a marauding band of Troglodytes is not something to ignore."

![]() |

"If there is still evil afoot in this place we should extinguish it. What say you all?"
"Extinguishing stuff really isn't my thing."

![]() |

"His either. But if you want I can make things hot for whomever is left."

The other group almost TPK'd on the burning skeletons, ugh :(
Also you are one person down as a player has pulled out, not sure what happened there
You ascend to the top of the tower...
The four wings of the tower are completely open on this level, forming one great,
cross-shaped chamber with arched ceilings. The decayed remnants of a carpet run from the doorways at the end of each wing, meeting in the center, where a spiral staircase drops out of sight below. A large, throne-like chair stands in the middle of the eastern wing next to a big chest.
Standing at the eastern archway, a single reptile man stares out into the distance, a stunted albino crocodile by his side...

Yeah that can happen when your frontline is all monks and brawlers like the last time I played.
Also you are one person down as a player has pulled out, not sure what happened there

"So much for a stealthy approach. I can't imagine how you got caught the first time." Natula leaves a trail of near-visible sarcasm in her wake.

Natula dashes to one side.

Sorry about the delay.
Giri follows Elowyn and Fang, squeezing in around the throne to try and take down the troglodyte. "I'm sorry, ser Trog, but your noxious reign will have to end." he says as he brings down his tetsubo, trying to smash the creature's face.

A gentle reminder that this is the finale and to kindly pop through your details for reporting purposes -
Reporting info. I will get the sheets out at the conclusion of this encounter
I have Elowyns info, thanks :)
Ninja'd!
Giri skips the pleasantries and wanders around, finishing what Natula started - slaying the beast!
Eyes move to Kamda to see what he may do to the remaining crocodile...!

"Perhaps, if you step to the side, the crocodile will flee now that its master has fallen." says Giri, unwilling to crush the creature's head for merely being loyal.
Hold Action.

"Fang, stay close to me." Elowyn tells her tiger so the tiger does not interfere with the creatures path of escape.
"Good call Giri" she says to the strange man from the east.

...and just like that, the fight is ended. The crocodile does indeed flee down the stairwell and you can hear its bulk sliding away at speed.
After recovering from the battle you clear through and investigate the tower more thoroughly and ensure it is safe for any Pathfinders following in your wake.
You return the liberated Pathfinder safely home, it is clear he is a little concerned by the nature of your report - pointing out that he DID help in the final battle.
With more ripping yarns to tell, and more gold to spend, you step just that little bit taller as you walk through Absalom.
Good game guys! I appreciate your efforts and hope you have had a good time :) Sheets have been emailed!

Bow! Thanks you for running for me, Shifty! It was fun, though a bit short. (I thought it was a module, not a scenario.) Glad everyone got to run with us and it was a good first outing for my new character! Hope to see you lot around, though I am sure that I will.

Ulfgar takes his downtime to elaborate and expand the reports for this and his previous adventure with the society. While he was writing his first report, Balenar drops in, stating he need be included. Half-way through explaining that Ulfgar was still writing another report (the bard didn't seem to listen), Ulfgar decides to have an "urgent meeting he had forgotten", picks up his stuff and leaves. The reports unfinished, still in the summary descriptions he handed in earlier...
Thanks for mastering the game Shifty! Never visited the fallen fortress before. It was short but fun!
