Charging Bear Who Kills Many

are you gonna make any of the slots for conquest Eric? I didn't see you signed up yet but alas, it is still pretty early.

I'm mostly GMing, and Rich asked me to be Overseer again for one of the Specials.
I registered on Warhorn but Brent hasn't cleared me for signups, yet.
Which special are you overseeing? I am running the Friday night one, and playing on Saturday..
For our Canada peeps, ConQuest Avalon = local con for Nefreet, Charging Bear and I. It's Nov 20th to the 22nd, which is why I want to be done with the PbP by then.

My last question in the Gameplay thread awaits an answer.
Elay's not a BSF. He's tactical. If it's not a good time to strike, he won't. Patience is an elven virtue. He'll be happy frolicking in a field until the time is right.
I hadn't realized that getting through these gates was our objective. If there's like only 4 guards, and a boatload of slaves that we can free, and we can proceed to the next map afterwards to capture Mrs. Veils, then by all means let's do that.
On the other hand, if the impression is that this is just the first level of some huge slaver complex, then Elay will act his part for as long as the ruse lasts.

Well, from the description we're inside a compound of some sort. I thought that finding the compound was the hard part, and why we needed to pretend to be slavers. There is a gate that leads further in to the mountain, though. We're just at the point where they want us to give up our weapons, and Fen really wanted to avoid that. It's why I didn't put anything in the magic chest or have anything shrunk.

At this point I am kind of waiting on you guys to decided whether you fight or not. For those of you whom have GMed this, I am a bit in uncharted territory, so I am really waiting on your actions.
Fight, don't fight, it's fine to me. But I've posted what the room looks like and more additional information. So go with your character's gut. :)

Sorry, folks, I'm back. Turns out running a festival and sorting out things afterwards is really time consuming. Who knew? I'll be posting at least daily from now on.

I know!
Apologies for the delay, we've had a few incidents happen here in the home region that has required me to have to do some mental health crisis interventions which ate up my time.
I shall be posting every day for the rest of this week and next. We are still pretty much almost done so long as you guys hit something!

So GM update:
We should be good to go in about an hour as I am going to be writing out the next three parts of the adventure based on your posts. I will then be checking in after my Jedi Calisthenics class (Yoga) this evening to make sure we’re good. We are scheduled to finish next Tuesday which is a little over my original plans, but hey, life happens.
If you need to bow out at this point, please PM me and I can get you a chronicle sheet via email. You are of course welcome to continue to write in until we complete the scenario, so that way you have to miss the rest of the story. I will for sure be completing the scenario by Dec 1st for those of you who have other things to be doing. So just keeping everyone abreast of my plans.

Yeah, if Elay leaves we are in trouble combat-wise, and it was already scary enough with two bards in a party of four. Is there any way we can steamroll through this quickly? Or maybe one of the slaves happens to be a pre-gen that can get added in? Something? Otherwise it's the choice between ending before the end, or dying in that level-3 "not enough prestige for a raise" sweet spot...

I'll keep posting for the next few days, though I'm playing Elay at a Convention on Friday, so I'm not sure (actually I'm pretty sure I can't) whether I can continue to post by that point or afterwards.
For his Day Job, I have the Borderland Keep Vanity, so instead of earning gold I instead recover 1 Prestige. Most GMs just put "+1 PP" in the Day Job Box, and some write a note beside it saying "Borderland Keep".
Thanks in advance!

** spoiler omitted **
Ah shoot, you didn't tell me that! Now I have to make you a new sheet. Or I can hand write it in on Friday since we're playing together. Just remind me.
As Steamrolling, there is one more obstacle and it's not a combat. So I'll be adding that bit tomorrow so you at least all can get that part of the adventure.

I did say he was on Slow Track in my initial post. And you didn't call for Day Jobs so I figured that'd be at the end of the scenario.
But actually I noticed that the game I wanted to play Elay in was all high Tier (5-9), so I just swapped him out for a different character that's in Tier.
I'll still be applying GM credit to him, but that should allow him to actually finish the game.

Oh, actually another good reason for the delay: this is the Chronicle I'm cashing in my Prestige on to obtain an item on the next Chronicle, using the Expedition Manager boon, so I do roll a Day Job this time. He does NOT gain a bonus Prestige on this Chronicle.
Craft (calligraphy): 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (2) + 15 = 17 (Lol, not that it matters much)
He's got so much going on that I forget half the time.

Sorry all of you who have been waiting. Con was rough, and then the holiday got even more insane with work and balancing everything else. Apologies.
I should have something posted in the next hour or so, and since this week I will be at the cottage every day except Wed, expect postings.

Hey everyone,
Is there someone with the images of the last two maps. I have been trying everything for two days to get them onto a image, and I can't seem to get anything updated. ARGH.
I don't know what they have been doing with the PDF's as of late, but they are making them a pain to transpose to another visual map maker. I even tried paint and it's locked up tight.

So there's an apology to be had. Along with chronicle sheets:
I apologize if this PbP was not up to anyone's standards of play. The short version is that while life was happening with deaths and deep emotional traumas, at the same time, my workload went from normal to tripled in three months. Today is the first time I am even looking at my desk in two weeks. So needless to say, this was not my best run at all.
Do not worry, I will be not be PbP any time in the near future due to my increased workload leaving me mindless at the end of most days, so if you wish to leave negative criticism I understand and it's fine.
So attached is the link to the chronicle sheets: Link
They aren't labeled as I have only a few more minutes left before I go back out to work in the field. I trust you won't cheat. But if you have more specific needs, please PM me and I'll get them worked on this weekend.
Thank you all for playing and being patient. I've learned a lot during this process and I hope you had some fun!
