Tristan Zanderholm
|
Interrupting Heccan's interrogation of the imp, Tristan tells the man:"I think we got what we came for, we better get back to the foyer or the alarm may be raised and we may get to see Citadel Vraid first hand. We need to resume our disguises and get back there, can we all get back in the vent?"
He starts to usher the others in, meaning to go last, and pull the grill back into place when he's done.
To see if he knows of Citadel Vriad:

Heccan turns to Tristan, sighs noticeably and nods once. "Yes good sir, you are right. My zeal to find and liberate the Paracountess distracted me for a moment, but no longer. Thank you Tristan. We will continue this once we leave this place, imp. I trust you are able to conceal yourself from view?"
After ensuring the imp can either turn himself invisible or hide, Heccan follows Tristan's lead and exits via the vent, preferably in the middle of the party.
| GM Derek W |
Heccan quickly deciphers the encoded message, and the party makes its way back through the vents. On the way the imp says:
"Citadel Vraid is an infamous Hellknight stronghold with a garrison of hundreds. It is one of the most secure locations in the Inner Sea. As to my appearance, I can in fact become invisible."
With that the imp vanishes from sight.
The Pathfinders crawl as quickly as they can back through the vents. This takes about 5 minutes. Once back in Zarta's study Justin reaches out mentally to Amara Li to let her know you are near.
15 minutes left. You can decide how to proceed - you can retrace your old route or try a different way. It looks like you'd have enough time to follow the way you came without raising too much suspicion.

"I suggest we go back the way we came, we know the route and can probably make it back without alerting anyone to our presence."

Heccan nods in satisfaction as the imp disappears from view. "Very well imp, but remain close to me." He turns to Kobad. "I agree wholeheartedly. Let us make haste from whence we came."
Heccan moves and encourages the rest of the party to retrace their route back to the waiting room.
| GM Derek W |
The party retraces their route, and makes it back to the waiting room without trouble. They lock the door behind them and try to take on as casual and bored an air as posslbe. Just seconds later the main door to the rom opens, and a tall Chelaxian nobleman steps in.
"Ah, yes. The Pathfinders. I do hope you have a good reason for this interruption!"

Heccan does his best to quietly gather himself after returning from their jaunt. He flashes the ambassador his most charming grin and steps toward him, placing a gentle hand on Bel's shoulder.
"Ambassador! Thank you for seeing us in this most hurried fashion. I do apologize for the interruption but I assure you that it is not without good cause. As you may or may not know, I have often provided this Embassy with vital information regarding various Chelxian interests. Embarrassingly, I can not for the life of me recall who I most recently dealt with but this information is very time sensitive and came at no small cost. It relates to the Empire's interest in Sargava." He nods to Bel, prompting her to produce the packet of information given to us to deliver by the Venture-Captian. "This dwarf has the information with her. Please take it and we will trouble you no further. I am sure you will find it is well worth the few moments you most graciously spared us on this very busy evening."
Heccan bows deeply as Bel produces the documents.

Kobad and Waldo look on, astonished looks barely hidden on both of their faces.
| GM Derek W |
"Ah, it's good to meet a faithful servant of the empire! Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Please excuse my abruptness, but I must attend to my guests. I'll have the guards show you out. Good evening."
With that the ambassador turns to leave. Two guards walk you back to the spies' entrance. You make your way swiftly back to Venture-Captian Valsin.
In his offices, he asks for a full report of your actions. You describe your actions to him, and share with him the intelligence that you uncovered regarding Zarta's diappearance and her present whereabouts.
"Well done, Pathfinders! Your valor and discretion in this venture have been very commendable. We'll need to look this over very carefully. A rescue must be attempted, but it may fall to more experienced hands. In any event, we won't allow some jealous functionaries to push us around. Rest now, and be prepared for your next assignment."
The End.
| GM Derek W |
Yes, the ending kind of comes fast in this one if your don't get the guards invloved. I apologize if it didn't flow as well as it could have, it was my first run of this game.
That said, we got done in 1 month, which is pretty much how long every PFS scenario I've run so far takes.

Oh man! I cannot believe it's over. This was not only my first pbp game, but also my first Pathfinder game. A big thanks to all of you, as I thought it could not have been better. A BIG thank you to GM Derek. Thank you for running the scenario, I thought it went rather smoothly. As to my fellow Pathfinders, I enjoyed all of your characters and it was great fun to game with you folks. I really had a blast with this scenario.
A couple of quick questions:
1. Can we make a day job check? If so, here is mine
2. Will you post or email Chronicle Sheets?
Thanks again all, it's been fun.

Derrick, you did awesome. Heccan, especially considering you are a PFS/PbP noob, you did some amazing roleplay. Kudos. I look forward to playing with you all in the future.

Thanks guys! Heccan, I PM'ed you, but if you see this sooner I just need your PFS number to do the reporting.
As for another game, let me see. I'm very busy at work this week, but I may be able to get something going next week or the one after.
| GM Derek W |
I'm not sure of the timing on the gameday boons. I submitted the report to the online VO's. They may need to wait until January 5th, when the event offically ends, or at least until all tables have been reported.
As for running another game, it does look I can fit one more into my schedule right now. Would all of you want/ be able to play The Frostfur Captives?
Kobad Miro
|
I would, but I have got so many other games going on right now I think I will pass, as I have already played that one.
| GM Derek W |
I know how it is when you're busy, and replaying for no credit isn't always fun, especially when you've played it recently.
I have several other Tier 1-5 adventures I could use. Would it make a difference if I picked one of the following?
Voice in the Void
The God's Market Gamble
The Night March of Kalkamedes
| GM Derek W |
Ok, look for a new game thread on Monday. For those who've played with me before, Xavian has expressed interest in joining us again, so we may have 7 - which has me leaning towards God's Market Gamble.
