Trying to cling to the shadows and darkness, I'll (with the team) begin to advance closer towards the staff and the lizards.

Out of Combat
Searching the room, you find on the shelf is a staff of caustic fury (treat this as a staff of fire, each of whose spells deal acid damage instead of fire damage)
Also in this room is something Marny was searching for; a weapon. There are three to choose from, the first is an obsidian-bladed scythe with a mahogany handle. The second is a heavy flail made of magically hardened gold and whose head is molded like a roaring tiger skull. The third is a serrated, singleedged longsword made of green-tinged metal. Whichever Marny chooses is a +2 vicious weapon.
Retcon any healing
After healing up, the party continues deeper into the building. Within moments, you come to the door that leads to the tapestry chamber.

Jorilyn casts a spell making her invisible, but then opens the door. The three people in the room all turn and look at the opening and closing door, mouths agape. A half-orc woman glances sidelong at her to male companions and says. "Did you all see that? Hullo! Anyone there? Is this some sort of trick?" She points to the door. "Ralirio, go check the door and the corridor." She says, as her lips begin moving, quietly beginning the form arcane phrases. The man named Ralirio nods and begins moving toward the door.
DM B's Pregen |
I'll walk up once I see the door open, and try to feign a bit of embarrassment, "My apologies. It's simply my familiar. We, . . . encounter a few of those Aspis bastards and one of them did something to her. Now, she's invisible and it doesn't seem to be wearing off."

The three turn wiht guarded looks when 332 enters. At her explanation, they relax a little, and the half-orc woman speaks again. "What's going on out there? We've heard a little, the grounds are under some sort of attack and the Aspis are assumed to be responsible, but that's all. We've all got stuck with this stinking guard duty." She turns to look out the door with a questioning look.
Shohiraj- The Professional |
Sho shakes her head as she enters as well "well looks like you are in luck as the master of swords has ordered us less experienced pathfinders to take your place so that you pathfinders with soooo much experience may assist in the retaking of the pathfinder grounds" she says in a fawning tone as she looks at her group of rag tag agents to help convince the fools of her ruse.

Now that the tapestry room is empty, you are able to performthe ritual described in Aram Zey’s logbook, and open the tapestry to the coordinates possesed by Marny and Rataji.
As the ritual is concluding, a thin slit appears down the middle of the tapestry, and then its whole center tears open in a deafening rip and a crack of thunder. Planar winds whip out from the frayed fabric for several seconds as purple lightning dances in the tattered wound. The gusts die suddenly, and the fabric stretches painfully to create an aperture nearly 10 feet wide, revealing a peaceful woodland occupied by a growing army.
A woman bedecked in chainmail and scars steps through into the room and then motions for those behind her to remain still. She surveys the chamber for a moment before a broad, genuine smile cracks her tough expression. “By Hanspur’s soggy hide, I never thought I’d see this world again.” She shakes her head and wipes away a tear before it can quite form. “The name’s Wolona, bronze rank. We’ve got good news and bad news on the other side. The good’s that everyone we expected to show up did, plus some more besides. The bad news is that some of them are starting to believe we’ve set them up.”
Wolona clears her throat loudly as though no more need be said.
“The only thing keeping them from just killing each other and the rest of us is my promise that there would be a welcoming committee who might prove this place exists and that it’s not all a trap.”
She starts to turn back to the portal. “Think you can give them a little pep talk?”
Wolona hardly waits for you to agree before muttering, “I hope they haven’t killed each other already” and stepping back into the demiplane. She returns a moment later leading an eclectic entourage of about 15 delegates and war leaders, including humans, a halfling covered in bright war paint, a hag, a wyvaran, a yeti, a pony-sized green dragon, and more. They jostle one another while inspecting the room. The wyvaran sneers, looks to your party, and asks, “So which of you is the Aspis king?”

Lies an unfortunate group of pathfinders, you can sink your claws and blades into them yourselves and enquire as to the nature of this world. LOOK OUT THE WINDOWS and the see the clouds and blue sky that dot the plane. And only after you have done so, can you come back and tell me the world before you does not exist."
