The sea hag "charges" towards the boat! (It is now only 40 feet astern.) Everyone now has to make saving throws vs its horrific appearance.

Dice Rolls:
Berosius: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Harrow: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15
Lumnessa: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Tan'ia: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Str Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4

Sorry about these rolls, guys...

The sight of the hag this close to you is so revolting that Berosius, Lumnessa, and Tan'ia each take 4 points of Strength damage! It's a mind affecting effect, so Harrow is OK. ;-P

Tan'ia is up! (She might be delayed because of RL stuff. So we'll keep going. If she posts, she is allowed to make several actions to account for her variable availability.)

The barge rockets a whopping 40 more feet away from the hag. She is now 80 feet away from the barge.

Lumnessa and Berosius may also post.

I ate all the blueberry ones Lumnessa whispers to Berosius, and then smiles sweetly at the Hag. There are some really good rhubarb ones! the gnome offers, They have a very nice tart flavor! I don't think you heard me before but my name is Lumnessa. What is yours? We're on our way to some place (I don't remember where) to see why some people (I forge who) are causing trouble. I think it has something to do with treasure, or at least I hope it does! Doesn't that just sound sooooooo exciting?!?

Silver Crusade

I gave Berosius a circumstance bonus to his diplomacy roll because of sheer chutzpah! On a personal note, I think the random encounters that I'm supposed to roll during your boat ride are unnecessary--they neither contribute to the story nor provide you with loot or XP. (If this was a home game, it could contribute to your experience, but XP is fixed in PFS.) Since I rolled several hags for the next set of random encounters (and they'll probably deplete your resources) here's what I'm gonna do...

A single tear rolls down the hag's cheek. "Rhubarb? I love rhubarb! Do you also have sour apple? And cherry? If I bring some pies back for the rest of my coven, we won't bother you for the remainder of your trip."

The party checks their pie supplies and (1d100 ⇒ 72) seventy-two percent of their remaining pies are, in fact, rhubarb, sour apple, and cherry. With a sweet smile the hag takes them all (leaving you with one pie each).

"Thank you, friends! My name is Maeva."

About 1 hour after dark, when the lights of Tamran are just visible in the distance, your ship (the Black Mist) glides silently through the water. The captain is on edge. The ship's mate is on edge. They don't speak. When they move, they act with economy--no motion is wasted. They also act with stealth. It's clear that they expect the same from you.

Thick cloud cover blankets the night. There's hardly and moonlight. The crew navigates by the faint lights of the city ahead.

Tan'ia: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
(Nice! No surprise round!)

Seemingly out of nowhere, another boat (operating just as silently as the Black Mist) scoots along the water just to your starboard. The three men aboard this new ship have crossbows drawn on you.

Captail Walren suddenly shouts: "Molthuni Privateers! Prepare to repel boarders!!!"

This is round 1.

One man shoots at Harrow. (crossbow: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16, Bolt: 1d8 ⇒ 7) The half-"ling" doesn't feel the bolt's head tear into his flesh, but everyone can see the pint of orc-touched blood that falls to the deck from the wound. Then the enemy drops his crossbow and draws his sword as he leans forward a smiles eagerly. His stance betrays his intention; on his next turn he means to step on your boat and do you harm.

As the privateer's flee and try to put out the flames consuming their bodies (and, what the heck, their boat, too!), a small chest falls off their boat and bobs in the water towards you. The barge's mate, Ewem, fishes it out of the water. The heavily scarred Kellid man hands it to the closest party member saying: "I suppose this belongs to you lot, now."

Taking 20 to get it open, you find the following inside:

- a bag containing 13 pp, 28 gp, and 16 sp
- the privateers’ charter, signed by the Molthuni governor
- a feather token (anchor)
____________________________________________________________

After the battle, the captain puts as much distance as possible between the Black Mist and the privateers’ vessel. About 2 hours later, the city of Tamran draws near. The captain thanks you for your assistance and suggests that you stay at the Gar’s Last Meal--a good, safe establishment down near the water.

In the dark, Tamran glitters with hundreds of tiny lights, emanating from the windows and lamps that dot the city. It has the look of a new town, built primarily of wood, though some older buildings linger here and there, many showing signs of damage from the war with Molthune to the south. Cracked walls and burnt remnants can be seen even from this distance, fresh scars from the long conflict.

You have some options here:

1) You can search for your Pathfinder contact
2) scout out the area around the temple (where the followers of Razmir operate)
3) try to learn more by questioning the locals

Remember your mission: Cygar would like you to learn what you can about the followers of Razmir (whose description matches the masks you found in the crypt) and, if possible, recover the amulet fragments so they can be returned to their resting place.

You hear about a talented local baker, Welton Grompus. His bakery, called the Harvest Hearth, is located just three blocks away from the temple where the followers of Razmir are headquartered. He supplies fresh bread and rolls to most of the inns and taverns in the area.

His specialty is a particular type of pillow-soft, buttery, slightly sweet dinner roll. Locals say you can smell them from a good three or four blocks away! You don't so much eat them; you just let them melt in your mouth.

He makes variations (both sweet and savory) of these rolls: fruit filled, maple-bacon, cinnamon, rosemary, etc.

Harrow stuffs three rolls into his mouth at the same time, then says to his companions with crumbs and slobber making his words even more difficult to understand.

"Harrow not sure he want to continue mission now," the half-orc says as he eats the rolls. "Maybe Harrow stay here and Pathfinders go on without him. Well, at least Harrow know what we do next day until appointment."

Berosius tries unsuccessfully to avoid the shower of crumbs descending from Harrow's height. Brushing off his shoulders and hair, he steps back a pace and agrees with the half-orc.

"There is something of magic in this," he agrees. "Divine intervention if ever I saw it, er tasted it!"

When the four (and Berosius's pack) are stuffed, he waddles over to the base of a nearby tree and settles in for a nap, his mission temporarily forgotten. "We have a whole day," he says happily. "And I want to be right here for elevenses."
