Razmir the Living God used his power to conquer an entire country; now he and his mask-wearing priests enforce peace and generosity—though some say their tools are intimidation and fear. His worshipers preach charity and self-worth, blaming rival faiths for crafting lies about the glories of the Living God. Now the cult has come to the city of Tamran, feeding the poor and promising happiness to those who serve Razmir. Yet ugly rumors persist of bribery, extortion, and strange disappearances associated with the new temple. Are these stories just gossip and lies spread by rival faiths? Or is the church of the Living God more than it seems?

Yup, us 2nd levels will need to gain an extra level before the third one if we decide to go that far.

Berosius, thanks for the compliment. I used three separate tools: shape, line, and text box. I make sure that the outlines of all three match in color. Then I select a background color for the text box that stands out in high contrast to the text. Does that help? I'd be happy to demo live, if you'd like to see it in action.

Sorry folks! My job had never allowed me to post on Paizo (had it blocked for "shopping" category) but I had previously been able to post on my iPad using the WiFi. They cut that off now. I can't use the WiFi anymore.
I am changing jobs, so my last day at this one is 4/14, but then I will be away at Star Wars Celebration from 4/15 to 4/21, so my posting until then will be spotty, but I will *try* really hard to keep up.

You guys are almost done with this module.
I know that you've expressed an interest in finishing the trilogy. I think I'd like to run The Midnight Mirror [3-5] next. So y'all can bridge the level gap to City of Golden Death.
Midnight Mirror is meant to be a horror story. With my particular sense of humor, you can expect some over-the-top shenanigans. ;-P
Timing: I think we still have a couple of weeks of posting to finish this out. Then I'm going to be at PaizoCon 2015. Want to start MM after that?
I've already created the gameplay thread.
I'm willing to do a party of 5 for MM, but no more. So, if you have a Play-by-post buddy that you'd like to have on board, let them know!

Woooo!!!
I'm super excited. :) Thanks so much. I LOVE your particular brand of humor, so count me in!
I should level after the current scenario, which will put me at 3.
I do think one more in this group would be nice. I think another front-liner would be a good addition since if anything happens to Harrow, there isn't a lot of meat to get through before the bad guys are hitting squishier stuff.

Sorry, traveling internationally and may be sketchy this next week...please not me if I am up and have not posted!

Harrow is going to be moving over into inquisitor to become a fearsome intimidating machine. I hadn't thought far enough ahead about which deity he should follow, but I'm thinking all this Raisin-business has got him wanting a cause.
While our amazing DM had an idea for a deity a while back, Harrow...um...doesn't really want to go that direction. ;P
But I am open to ideas! I am not super-familiar with the deities (primarily the well-known ones), but was looking for suggestions.
Harrow is already kind of a show-off, battle glory type guy, but he's looking for a cause. He's Lawful Neutral, and I can't really see him with a Lawful Good deity, so I'm kind of thinking LN or LE.
This is more for fluff since I am taking an Inquisition that followers of any deity can take. Anyone have any ideas?

I haven't bought Gods and Magic yet...I'll have to check it out.
Thanks for the suggestions! I'll definitely check those two out. :)
Paizocon seems like it was a blast! That does sound like it would have been fun!
Oh, and day job check:
intimidate (from caravan): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25

Hmmm....kind of liking your idea of Ragathiel after looking into this. I didn't want Harrow to be a goody-two-shoes type guy, but maybe he is focused on the Vengeance aspect of the portfolio, and ends up being a super-imperfect follower, which could lead to some fun stuff, as well.
Leaning in that direction. :)

Credit for this module has been reported online. You may pick up your chronicle sheets here. Please let me know if there are any corrections you need.
Thank you for playing! :-)

There are some blank fields on the sheets (where XP, gold, etc. go).
Honestly, I don't care and don't need a new one, but just wanted to verify it's 1 XP, 2 PP, and 3711 gp.
Thanks!

I think my computer might not be rendering something properly...I'm sure it's fine on other computers.
BUT it's always fun to have run a module when you thought it was a scenario! Fun!
Does the module happen to have more information on the Mask of Fear that comes on the chronicle sheet? I definitely want one, but can't really find the item anywhere (I guess it's just a head slot that gives +5 to intimidate?).

I actually crossed it off. You ran away from Egarthis before you could loot. I'll post a "flattened" version of your chronicle sheet soon. Check the Chronicles folder that I linked to above. I will include TIFF and PNG versions of your sheet.
But, yes, the mask of fear is as you posted. It's a rusted iron mask.

Harrow's build is an intimidation build, so it was the perfect item for him, but I'll trust you if you say we had no chance fighting him.
I would rather live than be super intimidating. :)
