Raevin holds his action for now, while Feuerseele dashes out of the alcove. The halfling attempts to stab him as he runs past Ekanta, but misses.

"Shelly!" the towering woman in the left alcove shouts out in concern. Shelly, the halfling, glares at Feuerseeele in hatred, but seeing Ekanta hasn't gotten his footing, decides to continue her attack on him. Once again, her rapier strikes true. Ekanta falls unconsious from the blood loss. She then steps over Ekanta. Ekanta, your token is under the red halfling.

Casting Daze on Red, DC 14 will save negates or she takes no actions for the next round.
Hopefully having disabled her, she gives Thirsty the word to attack. He bounds through the throng of allies and moves past the halfling and over the prone Ekanta to end up behind them, flanking with Jax. He then lunges to sink his teeth into her halfling posterior.

Shelly the halfling watches with a clouded mind as the tiger leaps over her head. The tiger seeks its teeth deep into her neck and she falls unconscious to the floor.
"Shelly!" the towering (blue) woman screams out again. "Hold, Bobbi. Take care of the fire wielder. He's of greater danger. I'll deal with the cat!" shouts out the half-orc scantily clad (green) woman.
Gritting her teeth in fury, Bobbi takes her instructions and charges out of the alcove, swinging at Feuerseele with her greatclub, knocking him unconscious.

I notice that Raevin has a wand of cure light wounds, which he can only activate via UMD. If he is agreeable, I'll allow that, earlier in the scenario, it had been passed to one of the those who do not need UMD to use it (i.e. Warden Jax and Luurg).

Woah flurry of posts... a bunch of night owls!
Luurg seems taken offguard by the ambush and struggles to get into the action. Hearing and seeing the sounds of brutal combat though he finally gets it together. He quickly pulls a purple fruit from his belt and devours it in an instant. His body begins to convulse and ripple as his ample gut begins to redistribute itself upwards, filling out his chest, back and arms with heavy muscle. Luurg then smiles and moves into the room, spear still in hand.
"Luurg ready to party now, plums are so gud! You not take our stuff you bunch of teeves!"

@Selima, I say go for it! :) Normally, I understand the reroll is to be done before the result is announced, but I'm going to waive that here. And Ekanta is just down by -1, so one round will be him back to consciousness.
"Teegan! Some healing here!" the towering Bobbi shouts to the robed man still inside the alcove. He nods silently in assent. Stepping out of the corner to get a better view, he calls forth a wave of divine energy bursting out from him. The energy, however, bypasses Feuerseele and Ekanta.

Ok, thanks! It wasn't til after I thought about how many combats we've been through that I realized I should probably use it soon. I typically horde it so badly I fail to use it at all!
Thirsty Will Save, GM star: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 3 + 1 = 22

Selima moves to the opening of the alcove, the unconscious Ekanta and enemy halfling in a pile at her feet. She pulls the potion they found in Fimbrik's home from her pocket and leans down to feed it to the wounded tiefling. "Let's hope this is still good! Seemed like it sat on that window sill quite a while..."
Cure Moderate Wounds: 2d8 + 2 ⇒ (6, 6) + 2 = 14

Technically, it is a -4 to the AC for prone, rather than a +4 to attack. So don't worry about it, I'll resolve it. Unless I note that you've already added it in.
Luurg's mighty blow pierces the woman through her chest, and blood spews forth from her mouth as she collapses before she could really get onto her feet. He steps up to attack the half-orc but the blood had made his spear slippery and he missed.

Aw, no fair. Luurg hogged all the AOO fun. And Thirsty has Combat Reflexes too! =P
Selima coos in Kelish and gives Thirsty an encouraging gesture that looks much the way a mother might motion for a hesitant child to go enjoy a playground. Selima has been listening to all this exclaiming out for her comrades that the half-orc has been doing. She speaks with the calculating tone of a merchant, calm and measured as if there was no life and death conflict spinning out around her. "Bobbi, Shelly, Teegan, oh no! I don't believe we've caught your name, though. If you care so much for them, why start this fight? Surely these papers aren't worth your lives. Poor little Shelly lying helpless at my feet. But I'd have no reason to harm her, if you would retreat."
Figured it might be worth a shot if Thirsty got her. Bonus points for approximate rhyme? XD
If she's already down, surrenders or retreats, Selima will draw her wand and give Feuerseele a tap of infernal healing. Otherwise, she'll grease green's weapon. Reflex DC 15 or she drops it.
GM kuey
|
@Selima, if you wish to attempt to talk down the half-orc, you could try one of the social skills. Sounds like you are making an intimidate. Go ahead and roll for it but I'll take that as your action. So you would have to choose whether to do that or grease her weapon. And no, Thirsty's attacks aren't sufficient to take her down.
Selima
|
Doubtful I can do much with Intimidate. I don't really have the numbers to back it up, but I guess it's worth a try. She'll step out and draw the wand for next round, anyway. Feuerseele is actually still negative since it was Ekanta she fed the potion to.

Thirsty tears into the half-orc woman, opening up large gashes on her shoulders and sides. She looks weak on her feet from the massive loss of blood, and certainly looks very worried.
"Surely these papers aren't worth your lives. Poor little Shelly lying helpless at my feet. But I'd have no reason to harm her, if you would retreat."
The half-orc hesitated briefly, before dropping her club and raising her hands up in submission. In a thin and weak voice, quite different from when the battle started, she grunts in pain, "My name is Darna. I surrender. Please let us save our friends." She turns to Teegan, the robed man, and gestures similarly for him to stop.

Darna stared down the other half-orc calculatively. "The lady with her pet promised to let us go if we stop. Are you taking back your words? I will share what I know in exchange nonetheless. As Shelly exclaimed in her hotblooded manner earlier, we are sent from the Aspis Consortium. Your actions at the Wounded Wisp caught the attention of one of our agents patronising there. Our Patrons, through magic, divined your location here, and sent us to retrieve whatever secrets you have uncovered. Beyond that, I know not." "One of our member made an offer... which was perhaps worded in such a way that it allows you to take your fallen comrades and leave... Though perhaps I would have asked for your surrender to save them, rather than a standoff... oh well, it is what it is... take your friends and leave... and trouble us no longer.. perhaps you should consider a new line of work, as your employers will probably look on failure with disdain... In fact, you could come with us and join the Society if you promise FAITHFULLY to change your allegiance. Just sayin'... If not, just go."

Selima calls Thirsty down and taps the still unconscious Ifrit sorcerer with her healing wand. "He should be feeling better in a just a moment." She assures her fellow Pathfinders and moves to Thirsty's side, smoothing down his still raised hackles with long soothing strokes. "Actually, I only implied what might happen to little Shelly if you pressed your assault. I never said what would happen otherwise. You did make the right choice, though. Thirsty really does hate it when anyone casts at him but me." The tiger growls menacingly and she trills a light laugh, feeling very pleased with herself and with Thirsty's performance. "You are becoming quite the Pathfinder, my love." She coos adoringly to the white tiger who still watches the half-orc female with a predatory look in his eyes.
"I see no reason to frog-march them through the city. But I think I would like the name of that Aspis Agent who was patronizing what is quite well known for being a Pathfinder establishment. Who tipped you off, Darna?"
I think she should technically act "friendly" for a minimum of 10 minutes. Surprised that low of a roll worked, I guess she's not a divine caster like I was suspecting?
