Guillaume, who is now sweating profusely, takes another stab at the kobold, and this time seems to have found his aim.
RAGE 5/6: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 6 + 2 = 202d4 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (3, 4) + 6 + 2 = 15
I about to run out of batteries, one more round of rage left

Both Guillaume and Bonifacius connect, dropping their respective opponents. Guillaume is starting to look tired. The kobold in red appears to be the biggest threat remaining.

Oberon : mage armor; 1 damage
Dravil. 4 damage
Copper 2 damage
- Bottom 1 point NL damage.
Kobolds

I forgot to put up my AoO's this round:

AoO: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 6 + 2 = 122d4 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (1, 3) + 6 + 2 = 12
AoO, Confirm of #1: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 6 + 2 = 112d4 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (1, 3) + 6 + 2 = 12

Bottom moves around the edge of the wall and attacks the green kobolt.
I don't believe he can 5 foot, so he'll have to move 10 feet... I messed up last time, Copper has a sling, not a crossbow...
Claw 1: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13 damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Copper aims at the Orange Kobolt and fires off his sling.
attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14 damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Bottom swipes... and also goes high. The crafty kobold squarks at the monkey. Copper has more luck, finishing off the kobold in orange.

Oberon : mage armor; 1 damage
Dravil. 4 damage
Kobolds
Bonifacius

Oberon, ready to be done with these vermin and help the injured, flings his last magic missile at the red baddy.
Magic Missile: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
"Oooooh! I bet that felt good!"

Apologies for my absence. Life keeps getting in the way...
The monk moves forward to attack the red kobold:
atk: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8dmg: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
atk with Stunning fist vs. 13: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19dmg: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

If red guy is still on one piece
Dravil attempts to finish off the Kobold with a powerful blow that even surprises himself as blood splatters.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
Damage: 1d12 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
To Confirm: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Damage: 1d12 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
If the bloke is dead
Dravil tries to start untying the prisoners.
Check?

Nice timing on the crit, which (just) failed to confirm. Red is still very up.
Eagungad strikes twice quickly, and finishes off hte green kobols
I know your text said red, but you moved you character to the green one. So killed it off. If it helps, you would have missed red with those rolls.
Darvil doesn't- but much of the force of the blow is deflected at the last moment by the kobolds parry. Oberon tries to finish it off, but still the small red devil stands.
Just fluff on missing the crit
The kobold in red strikes out at Dravil again, hitting the paladin pretty much at will.
attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19
damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Status: bold may post:
Bonifacius
Guillaume 3 damage
Copper 2 damage
- Bottom 1 point NL damage.
Eagungad 4 damage (may act twice)
Oberon : mage armor; 1 damage
Dravil. 7 damage
Kobolds
red -16 damage
Obviously the red one has a very high AC, so you'll probably need to use some tactics to bring him down

Guillaume makes a big, ugly pain face as he makes his way around the altar, stabbing at the last kobold in the temple
UUUUAAAAAARGH: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 6 + 2 = 272d6 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (6, 1) + 6 + 2 = 15
It's all fatigue from here

![]() |

Well, that was over quickly. Two big hits. Sigh.
The impressive Guillaume exerts himself, cutting through the kobolds rapier and into the sword-reptiles arm. He looks shocked and collapses to the ground, his blood slowly draining into the stones.
Combat over lucky for you!
"Save us, Save us!" call out the miners. From the jungle around you can hear the sound of more kobolds, but they don't appear ready to rush you just yet.

![]() |

Copper will work on cutting loose the miners and telling them "Grab a weapon, for this fight might not be over." He looks for Bottom, "Get over here." he calls out.

random: 6d20 ⇒ (17, 19, 6, 8, 17, 5) = 72
Oberton notices a satchel tucked next to the altar. A faded symbol of the open road can just be made out on it.
Within are spoiled rations, an elixir of vision, and an old battered field journal.
The miners look increasingly concerned.
"You have to get us out of here..."

![]() |

Oberon thumbs through the journal.
"There's some crap in here about Ashkurhall, just like the rubbing we got. Hmm. Some other nonsense about a orb of light and dwarven art, a guardian beast, and some frog called Krihirik, or something like that."
"What do you all want to do with this journal? It's kind of a boring read, if you ask me. No pictures, or nothing."

![]() |

Let's clear this place and get everyone to safety. Let's meet up with that other miner in the jungle
Is there anything that sets the two companies apart? Ethics, size, S&P rating?
Let me just make a diplomacy check with the guys we've been helping thus far, they seem to have been dealt the worst hand..
Diplomacy: 1d20 ⇒ 19

![]() |

You trek back through the jungle, avoiding further carnivorous flowers, carnivorous hunters and natural obstacles. But compared to what you have already faced they are easily overcome.
Climbing out of the valley you met up again with the miner rescued from the flowers and she joins your large group. You camp for a night at the old mining site, but at least no undead bother you this time. Then a further long days travel sees you back at Fort Bandu.
There you, or at least the miners, are greeted with an enthusiastic reception. The Golden Crown company is especially grateful for the return of their miners and the logbook with their hidden mines location.
Of the Aspis presence nothing is seen..for now.
Well done, that last battle can go on for quite some time. I'll try to cut chronicles for you all tonight.
