A long hallway leads to this grand hall, wherein the Blakros Museum shows off its finest collections. Mock vines cling to the walls and hang from the fifty-foot-high domed ceiling, and huts of grass are strewn about the open area. At the center of this sprawling chamber, a miniature replica of a traditional Mwangi ziggurat rises out of the mist to a height of nearly twenty feet. At the top of the ziggurat, a rail-thin elven gentleman is strapped to an altar, his bare chest painted with strange sigils and monkey paw-shaped blots of paint.
The sound comes from dozens of apges and monkey's, which to can barely see through the mist.
As you enter the room there is a terrifying howl, and the moneky's scatter, as a huge ape looms through the gloom.

Wulbknavel scampers in to the room, chanting the special chant to drive out the mist from its victims.
Perform (oratory) for special countersong: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Too focused wrapping his mouth around the unusual words of the chant, Wulbknavel notices nothing else.

You notice a small wooden idol moving amongst the horde of monkeys. You may target it this round. It is the monkey with the yellow border

Based on previous experience, one round of the chant has been sufficient to cure those afflicted by the mist, so Wulbknavel ceases the chant.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
He points toward the yellow monkey, "Hey, there's a little wooden boy in that group of monkeys that's moving around!"
Wulbknavel then grabs a pat of butter from his spell component pouch and hurls it at the giant ape that just hit Grog. "Now this is what I call a sticky situation!"
Grease, Reflex DC 15.

AOO: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
The ape is far too busy smashing Grog to worry about Rachel. Well it was, she has made it aware of the error of its ways. It doesn't look happy with her.
reflex: 1d20 ⇒ 2
It does look kind of funny lying on the floor though. That saying "the bigger they are, the harder they fall".. probably true. The little grass hut in the area certainly thinks so.
The monkey's screach in horror and throw dung at the party.

You go again. The readied action hasn't triggerd as he has not got into range of Grog. Lying on his back it doesn't look like he is likely to. Though looking at the other two...
Lying on the ground, the great ape is no match for the pathfinders, and he is quickly dispatched... The monekys throw more poo.

on phone can someone move me plesae thx

Technically Grog needs to make a perception check to target the Tik Tann, but really, that is just prolonging the inevitable
Grog races forward and slices the burning wooden idol in half.
The monkey's all screech in outrage!
All around the mist moves sweeping into the the room, gathering around the idol as if in some hopeless attempt to help it. The idol however is beyond help. The monkey's, chimps, and smaller apes make a break for it, leaving through a large variety of small windows and openings and heading out into greater Absalom.
From the top of the pyramid a voice can be heard "Excuse me... anyone there able to untie me?"

![]() |

Wulbknavel puts his crossbow away and scrambles up to Nigel Aldain.
"I'll be right there Mr. Aldain!"
As Wulbknavel unties Nigel Aldain, he leans forward and whispers, "Lady Gloriana Morilla sends her regards, and would like to request a private meeting to discuss an alliance."
Take 10 Diplomacy, DC 16: 10 + 9 = 19

Well, Nigel is married into the Blackros family, so I guess that makes him minor nobility. I'll swing with that.
"Thank you, thank you" he stammers as he is released.
"It was the idol that did it all. Something must have activated it, though I have no idea what. It was quite an experience. To feel the rage of a Mwangi tibesman. I think I'll write an account of my experience.."
He seems a little distracted.
"Anyway, the Idol came to life, and the mist poured from it. I felt... at one with the jungle. It seems odd now, even though it was only moments ago. The Tik Taan... it was sacred to a demon lord, and maybe some of his spirit..."
The curator goes pale at the thought of having been possessed by the spirit of a demon.
"Thank you so much..."
Once released he promises you "I'll not forget this. The pathfinder society.. well bygones are bygones. To show my appreciation let me give you a couple of my own personal pieces."
He extracts a fine looking spear, and then from his desk an ioun stone
"I'm afraid it is a bit damaged, but I know your society holds them in high regard.."
Thanks for the game all. I'll try to cut chronicles tonight. Feel free to ask any closing questions and finish up RPing here.
