Ha! I had no idea what was going to happen, I just played him as curious and incautious. I was pretty sure it was going to blow up in my face!

That's it, the end of 'Between the Lines'. You've entered the mindscape of the Monadistic Archive, managed to defeat its Archivist and saved the princess - err, the Venture-Captain. Well done for completing the scenario, and for good teamwork!

Thanks to all for playing, I really enjoyed reading your posts. I'll have Chronicles up tonight or Saturday. If you have any specific things you'd like mentioned, please let me know.

As I mentioned at the beginning of the scenario, this was my first PbP as a GM. I'd be interested to read your feedback, in order to help me grow as a GM. I'm aware of some mistakes I made along the way, but I'll hold off on my own thoughts here. Thanks again, for playing. :)

Thank you for running it GM.

As far as feedback goes, I think you did very well: we managed to complete the scenario in a relatively short amount of time, your posting rate was consistent and everything was clear. The only thing I do not like is the PFS perspective of the game, which does not allow to RP significantly and does not always allow to develop a character's personality: but that's an issue I have with PFS in general, not with how you ran this scenario. Still, I had fun, so it means that you've done great GM!

Thank you for running! I had a great time. Sorry if I was slow at points, it was a busy time. Zephyr is that much closer to her very own pirate ship!

Thanks for a brilliant time all! Look forward to catching you all soon. I enjoyed it Iff and didn't spot many mistakes at all ^^.

Thanks Iff, that was great!

I feel like some of the more jaded GMs rush things a bit too much, and push player to the next plot point, but you struck a good balance between keeping things moving but letting us figure stuff out.

The only part that bugged me was in the fight with the mask you placed our PCs, and started combat before we got the lay of the land, when we had the chance to set up and prepare better, by lighting the area and so on. But I expect you've figured that out.

Also I thought that was a pretty crumy place to choose to fight the mask, but that might have been mandated by the adventure.

It's funny that you should mention that, Bottles, because the scenario actually suggested the encounter on a set of rooftops. I felt you weren't too keen on that suggestion and started look out for something else, so I gave the alley as an alternative. I put up both maps to let you choose, and detail prep. You are probably right that it would have been better to set the stage first, and then you let prep.

All in all, the pacing was something I was quite 'aware' of. I think it's the aspect of GM'ing that requires the most experience. Too little pace can lead to a stale game, while I've also experienced too much pace by the GM. It feel jarring...

Thanks for the feedback, good to read that you enjoyed it.

So, I've been working on the reporting and the chronicles. Two issues:

- Zandu, it seems I don't have your info yet. Could you post those, so I can create the chronicle and add you to the reported session?

- Saleem, when reporting the session, I got a message that your prestige did not count, because you had played the scenario already. (September 115, 2015). Could you verify, please? Also, in that case, would you still receive a chronicle for this one?

For the others, I've reported the session and chronicles are available at this link.

Thanks, sheet looks fine.

Oh, I must have missed that part. My bad then.

I didn't really involve bottles in the decision for RP reasons, and somebody got a really good roll to find a place to fight.

But my thought was the idea battle ground would be a wide-open space where we can all spread out and get at him from range, for those of us who are ranged, with the melee types opposite.

You're certainly right that this would have been ideal, but I figured that the scenario called for the terrain to be at least a contributing factor to the challenge of the scenario. (On the rooftops, it called for the creature to suggest and charm people into jumping down). I didn't feel like a good Perception roll would have been enough to mitigate that aspect of the encounter, but I did want to 'reward' it with additional choice of battleground. It seems like that choice, conscious or not, was a bit unlucky. Also, a wide open space as you suggested would have been at odds with the need for a little privacy, in a busy city at evening time.

In the end, I think you made it through most of the combats without too much trouble. ;)

That's a reroll well spent, Zandu. :)
