I am taking over for a previous GM. This thread is needed for the new threads to go into place.

King-maker game seeks replacement PC's.

Currently we have three PC's who are going to chose either one or two replacement players for this game.

They are currently 2nd level and have defeated the bandits and are in their initial foray into the lands around Oleg's.

If you were in a short-lived KM game here is your chance to get back in!

I have some interest in this, if my Arcanist isn't too duplicative. Of course he's only level one right now (but easy enough to level him up), but you can see his background and other particulars.

Oh, and I see from your OOC thread that you're having some trouble with treasure tracking. I developed (with help) a really nice treasure tracking sheet (link). You should be able to see it well enough, just not edit it. Let me know if you have questions about how it works - I'm happy to help you set up something similar, even if I'm not picked for this campaign. :)

I should also say I've been through this AP a little ways. I don't know what book it was, maybe three? Still, I'm good at separating player and character knowledge so it shouldn't be a big deal.

That's one....any others?

Bump.

In our group, we presently have a Human Sorceress (Fey), a Human Cleric/Ranger (Divine Tracker) and a Human Magus. We lost our Aasimar Bloodrager not long ago and would seek someone to replace him as frontline defence ... Although we are open to all ideas/characters and would like to see a couple of players join our invested group of three.

:)

Silver Crusade

Hm, I am interested as well. Though I guess my character Telmarni would be a bit out of place due to there being a Magus already. I'll see what I can come up with to suit your team.

Edit: What is the standard build rules for your game? Is it 20pb or something else?

Please do. :)

Oh, and we're using 20-point buy.

"Gah! I am here. So far I have the basic stuff down. I come from just outside of Ustalav. Lots of ugly things there. But came up from there to get away from my past. So you want someone to keep the nasty things from ya?" Markov looks around a bit, then shouts! "Well, I am your man!

So this is Markov, a level 2 Cavalier with a horse. He is a witchwolf skinwalker, but he will be in human form for most of game play. I finished his stats and gear in his profile. Along with how he looks, his personality, and history if you wish to read it.

Built him with 20pb and with the second level gold. He also has the Brigand trait which gave him an extra 100 gold. I do hope he is agreeable with you all. He is after all looking for a new place to call Home.

@Markov: Thanks for creating a new char to fit into the existing group.

On your profile, it says Markov is gruff and I noted the CG alignment. I have seen some people play the CG as kind of a jerk to their fellow team mates -- How do you see yourself playing this out if you get chosen? :)

Liberty's Edge

I might be interested, I'm at work, I'll inquire more later but do you allow path of war stuff? I've not played it before but the warder looks like it would fit your needs and the whole class/book sounds pretty awesome.

Cheers,
Jim

Submitting Jorn. A barbarian turned warpriest, ready to battle the unknown in the Stolen Lands.

"Gruff, yeah, had a tough life for a while. But now I am just looking for a place to rest. Maybe something more!" As he finishes with a grin. "But I am no jerk. In my previous job, I had to be a bit... Rude. But I would not break them. Definitely if they are good folk! Though if they are nobles that are known to be oppressive, I don't see why I can't just press my blade a bit harder into their necks."

And how I would play him is that he doesn't care for rules all that much, but he is loyal, and will put himself between his friends and their enemies. But is willing to let things be if they see the beauty of the world.

Thanks for answering, Markov!

Bump. We need one more to round off the team. We're looking for chars that are different to the skill set we presently have in the team.

A skill monkey would be handy, too.

Thanks for the consideration, maybe next time. :) Have a great campaign!

"Charm, sex appeal, a quick hand with rapier or coin..." The well groomed half elf explains, "These are just a few of the traits that are not helping me find my way through the wilderness."

"That said, if one can provide woodland advice, and promise never to tell my mother about exactly how badly I've shamed my elven side in getting lost in the first place, I can provide talents at fencing, subterfuge, and stylish sneakiness in return. Many thanks to you. Mmm now where is that outpost?"

I present for your consideration Nedyr Shadowhawk Orlovsky, half elven swashbuckler/rogue and Bastard on relatively good terms with his father's family. I'd wanted to give a swashbuckler a try, and took the rogue side to bump up the skills even further. I can favor one side or the other as time progresses as the party needs.

Crunch, History, etc in the profile

I have played Kingmaker before, but only got so far, and will happily play dumb as needed ;)

I posted earlier (DinosaursonIce), if you are still looking for someone with skills I actually have a guy who might work out.

Lershoth Sholme Tielfing Investigator.

Background:
Lershoth was not born into the Surtova but rather was found when as a baby by the cousin of the eldest daughter. Seeing the clear marks of the baby as being Infernally spanned, but unwilling to let it be, he was brought into the family as a backroom servant. Where Lershoth has spent several generations living, serving, and studying. Over the years Lershoth, when not taking part in his daily chores, has developed a keen mind. Lershoth, when younger became interested in his the game of politics his family often found itself in and, while unable to go about traditional methods, he asserted himself behind the scenes, digging up information through the other servants, and using his unassuming nature to gain trust. Not that he hardly ever used the information for much, to him it was just another game, a game where he pushed himself to find interesting and intricate ways to acquire knowledge that others may not have found.

Though that information would prove to be valuable as he had a knack for setting elaborate traps for the other servants and occasionally the house guests for those who stayed at the manner he served. Often getting himself in trouble and being reprimanded. The only thing that likely kept him from getting thrown out was the valuable information he could trade to the elder members of the family in return for a reduced punishment.

Over time, as the elder generations passed, and the younger generations who had grown up around Lershoth came into power, he became a power aid to them, helping them win power and favors among each other and even with other families. His friendships combined with these favors has gotten him out of the ranks of the servants and into a sort of limbo where he was free to do as he pleased, for the most part. Unfortunately, want Lershoth really desired was to rise up in the nobility, but due to his questionable heritage as a Tiefling, the family was ever unwilling to lend him any sort of position of real power.

Recently Lershoth has heard that a number of groups were being dispatched into the Stolen Lands in order to clear out bandits and potentially set up a new kingdom. Seeing a chance to learn about new lands, and to provide a basis for he himself to increase his own role in the state of "wordly affairs", Lershoth set about convincing the Surtova household that it would be in their best interest to let him join one of the four venturing parties setting forth. Unfortunately this discussion took a great deal longer than expected, as not all were certain of his plan. With negotiations finally getting settled after the various parties had left.

Lershoth, gathering what he could, began a treck to try and find on of the groups, hoping that he might able to find them. Mostly it was filled with discomfort as the Tiefling was not immediately suited to wilderness survival and had no experience in tracking, nor was a very capable fighter. But through keen observation and a cool head, he has somehow survived and finally heard news of several bandit camps being cleared and a group making steady progress in their work.

So with hope in mind of finally finding one of the groups he continues his search.

Personality:
Lershoth is not a cruel man, but nor is he particularly friendly. Rather he tries to approach all situations, and people, with a level head, using hard logic to judge what the best course of action is.

He is interested in learning about various esoteric subjects, and is never satisfied to just know of something, he must understand it in it's entirety.

He enjoys political nuance, though dislikes the flamboyant behavior that is often found with it, preferring to work in the shadows and manipulate things from afar.

OOC: It's kind of late but I wanted to get this posted, if you have any questions about his personality, backstory, or mechanics I would be happy to answer them. But I think this is enough of a start to give an idea on the sort of character he is. I can also fill in his stats on here later as well, but the link above should (have) taken you to his Mythweaver sheet.

That's all I got.

Cheers!

Thank you to all who submitted a character. Recruitment is now closed.

We've decided to give the final spot to Nedyr. Can his player please dot the discussion and game play threads and make his initial intro on the discussion thread as soon as you can.

Good luck to everyone who didn't get in this time. Hope you find a game for your respective characters. :)

Liberty's Edge

Have fun everyone!
