If our GM gives it a miss, I'd quite fancy a cleric of Asmodeus, who could perhaps use fire arms, later..., the idea of a fire blasting gun... well all the old guns had fire coming out the nozzle, just tickles my funny bone for a follower of Asmodeus.

But such a creation would need a bat's approval .. ;)

Its just an initial thought ...

Could be captured as either sent ahead of the royal party to ensure that the way was clear or as part of a diplomatic party on his way back from negotiations. Obviously wants the agreed arrangement to go through as it has the backing of the Cheliaxian authorities and hence the church.

...but anyway, i'd let GM go first...

Male Workaholic, level 10

Have you found a prospective recruit for your pbp, now?

You guys, sorry about this, but I haven't even had a chance to look at Lym's game with work being so busy. Please someone go ahead, if Lym hasn't picked already. I can't add another game to my list.

Female Half-Orc Evoker 10/Cyphermage 6; Init. +2; Perception +12; Darkvision; Arcane Sight; Fly 40 ft.; AC 23 (+3 Dex*, +1 armour, +1 Deflection, +1 natural, +3 Mage Armour, +4 Shield); HP 91/104; Fort +9, Ref +8, Will +16

I've already made a selection. Sorry, but time was rather of the essence. ^^; Thanks for the interest.

Male Workaholic, level 10

No worries - glad it worked out.

Map is up. I posted before I realized that Lym's attack post was gone...oh well...go get 'em!

I had a whole response for this round put together before work, then I couldn't post it for some reason. Now I don't have the map available at work here.

Apologies for being away, RL rather caught up with me.

Male Bat Familiar 5

It'll do that...

Male Workaholic, level 10

No worries on either front. Bound to happen.

Male Bat Familiar 5

Even if my spiders don't hold out very long, they should at least distract Lucretia from Kellen and Thordak for a moment. I mean, NO ONE takes a sudden giant spider attack in stride, do they? ^^;

Depends on who you are I guess, we shall see...

Female Half-Orc Evoker 10/Cyphermage 6; Init. +2; Perception +12; Darkvision; Arcane Sight; Fly 40 ft.; AC 23 (+3 Dex*, +1 armour, +1 Deflection, +1 natural, +3 Mage Armour, +4 Shield); HP 91/104; Fort +9, Ref +8, Will +16

Leonard Nimoy passed away today. :(

Male Human Rogue 7/Fighter 4; HP: 93/104; AC:24/T18/FF24; Fort+9 Ref+10 Will+5; Per +15; Init +3

Yea - I just saw the report as well. Wow!

Female Half-Orc Evoker 10/Cyphermage 6; Init. +2; Perception +12; Darkvision; Arcane Sight; Fly 40 ft.; AC 23 (+3 Dex*, +1 armour, +1 Deflection, +1 natural, +3 Mage Armour, +4 Shield); HP 91/104; Fort +9, Ref +8, Will +16

I should start cataloguing all my favourite actors, authors and musicians and let them know how much I like their work...

Sound guy Mr Nimoy from all accounts.

...just a bit of a heads up, likely to be made redundant by April, go before I get pushed. So if I'm a bit erratic bear with me, it should be no worries, but it means there's a lot going on.

Female Half-Orc Evoker 10/Cyphermage 6; Init. +2; Perception +12; Darkvision; Arcane Sight; Fly 40 ft.; AC 23 (+3 Dex*, +1 armour, +1 Deflection, +1 natural, +3 Mage Armour, +4 Shield); HP 91/104; Fort +9, Ref +8, Will +16

I recall a 3.5 spell called 'Trace Teleport'.

...

Of course I don't have or know it.

...

Nor any Pathfinder equivalent, if any should exist... >_<
Maybe I should consider taking Craft Wand or something at next level, and make a bunch for those finnicky little spells you never seem to have handy and then end up desperately needing...

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

It never fails. I swear, it's amazing how some of these no name spells that nobody EVER uses would come in handy in situations like this.

Of course, this would probably be the ONLY time it would come in handy, but of course it would just so happen to be the time a fellow pc is about to get his life snuffed from him. That's all. Nothing to drastic. ;P

Male Human Rogue 7/Fighter 4; HP: 93/104; AC:24/T18/FF24; Fort+9 Ref+10 Will+5; Per +15; Init +3

Dragon used to put out a '101 uses for cantrips or low-level spells,' - but of course I can't think of any that might apply. :-(

Sorry guys, been sick all weekend. Give me a day or so to catch up.

Female Half-Orc Evoker 10/Cyphermage 6; Init. +2; Perception +12; Darkvision; Arcane Sight; Fly 40 ft.; AC 23 (+3 Dex*, +1 armour, +1 Deflection, +1 natural, +3 Mage Armour, +4 Shield); HP 91/104; Fort +9, Ref +8, Will +16

Ooh. Feel better, OOGM. Take the time you need...

Male Human Rogue 7/Fighter 4; HP: 93/104; AC:24/T18/FF24; Fort+9 Ref+10 Will+5; Per +15; Init +3

Hope you feel better.

1 person marked this as a favorite.
Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

Yeah, definitely take all the time you need. Hope you get to feeling better soon, bud.

Thanks, all. Back at it...

Internet struggles here gang, hopefully resolved today.

OK - thanks for the update.

Terry Pratchett passed away today.

Not due to suicide, but due to Alzheimer-related complications.
At least he leaves us before the disease could steal his mind away.

Rest in peace, Sir Terry.

Male Human Rogue 7/Fighter 4; HP: 93/104; AC:24/T18/FF24; Fort+9 Ref+10 Will+5; Per +15; Init +3

Just saw the article as well on-line.

I had forgotten how many Discworld novels he had done; and that apparently there was a Discworld short films done in England.

RIP.

Female Half-Orc Evoker 10/Cyphermage 6; Init. +2; Perception +12; Darkvision; Arcane Sight; Fly 40 ft.; AC 23 (+3 Dex*, +1 armour, +1 Deflection, +1 natural, +3 Mage Armour, +4 Shield); HP 91/104; Fort +9, Ref +8, Will +16

I'm fairly sure I have all the Discworld novels sitting in my bookcase. I just have to look left and up to see them.

This is so sad.

Very sad, enjoyed his work immensely.

Where did everyone go! Insert echo

Male Humanly Awesome 'n Totally Rockin' Paladin of Greatness

I went. And truthfully, I would've went sooner but I figured I should wait on the ones before me to go first.

Male Human Rogue 7/Fighter 4; HP: 93/104; AC:24/T18/FF24; Fort+9 Ref+10 Will+5; Per +15; Init +3

Red 5 standing by!

I am here. ^^

Guys, business trip came up. Flying out today and won't be back until late Sunday.

Grand Lodge

I'm here as well. I'm waiting to see what the ogre who is before me in initiative does.

Wait, what ogre?
...
*edit*: AAARGH! I've been missing updates! :(

Male Bat Familiar 5

I was wondering why there were no gameplay updates. /:( Sorry for my unintentional absence.

Have to admit I chuckled when you said: "What ogre?" Was wondering if something had happened.

Sorry I've been away, as the might be made redundant, is now a confirmed redundant so I've had my mind on other things ... Hope to be back in a more stable way in the next couple of weeks.

Male Bat Familiar 5

I am so sorry to hear that, Rhianni... Good luck.

Sorry to hear; best of luck with it. Be well.

It's hard to see on the maps, but the tentacles are defined by a gray shaded area. It looked good on my screen, honest!

Question: I'm reading the Grease spell, but I'm not understanding it to well.

Do I roll a save for each square again? The one I start in and the one I have to move through?

Or do I roll an acrobatics check now?

And if I do roll an acrobatics check, is that gonna be for each square I move through?

F/R/W: +25/+23/+22 AC/T/FF: 33/19/26; CMD: 36; Perc: +22; Init: +9; Max HP: 179; Current HP: 168; Temp 0;

The grease spell has always been ambiguous with what kind of roll is required for standing up in the grease, if any. Logically, there should be one, but I always wonder if, for game balance reasons, the rules just assume you can stand up without a check.

Male Bat Familiar 5

Question: would a familiar freak out when it felt its master being controlled? ^^;

We've always just made one roll each turn. For comedic sake, you could roll each time you tried to move: standing up, moving, fighting, etc. That would be an annoying amount of dice rolls, even if the falling was slapstick-funny.

In this game, just roll at the start of your 'move', and it will count until your next turn. So, roll to stand up, if you succeed, then move. If you try something crazy, that's another story. What you CAN'T do is stand up and charge, double move, or run. That'd be stretching it a bit.

I've thought of this, will work it in.

Suddenly I'm imagining Lym suddenly turning all glowy and a deep voice bellowing: Assuming Control!

By the way, Mass Effect 2 in-joke here, if any remembers Harbinger.
